    Thread: I've had several successf WILDs, but I've never had hynagogic imagery. Not even once. Am I retarded?

      This is really close to what I experience - minus the color. But the images aren't actually there, it's more of like a feeling of an image, not an actual image. And it'll usually jolt me too. Also, my most common hynagogic hallucination is a falling sensation.

      What do those jolts mean? Are we getting close to a successful WILD? Can we make use of them?

      We can, kind of. Just try not to let the jolt bother you too much, it usually means you're really close. Once I get a jolt I try to raise my awareness slightly and take a small note of it. The dream usually starts only five minutes or so after it.
