If by "jolt" you mean the hypnic jerk, that is just something that we can have as falling asleep. It's not indicative of a dream or lucid dream.

You can have any or no HH, and still enter LD. No two transitions are the same. I can go weeks with only images, then weeks with only falling sensations, then only vibrations, then mix of any of them... Not sure why or what controlls the HH we experience, what draws them out. I suggest to just use the one you have at the moment.

Hypnic jerk? don' know what that means. Well, it's like when you dream of falling, but you wake up jumping from your bed. Same thing, but at the start of dreaming and a trip or slip. Don't know if only I have them.
I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

      Yes! Thanx
Those are what I sometimes have during my WILD. I would be fully conscious, but it kinda ruins my WILD attempt

Yay! Gab replied to my thread

But on a serious note I know that you could enter a lucid dream without HH, but I've never heard of anyone who has never ever experienced any imagery ever during an attempted WILD after such a large amount of attempted WILDs, even you've experienced it before. You make a really good point by mentioning how we're not sure what causes what type of HH, though. I guess I'll just wait in the darkness for my dreams to come to light...

What I was trying to say, that if you wait for something specific to happen, you may lose your chance to a LD. Because that something may not happen. Best is to really not expect anything, but be ready for everything. It's like you would tell your mind "go ahead, surprise me".

So let's say you are waiting for images but they don't come and you don't enter LD thinking you have failed, because you never got to the point where you can enter LD. But what if because you waiting for one specific event, you don't notice other events, that may be more subtle. Like gentle vibrations. Or that you can suddenly see your room. Or just a feeling that you are floating. Or you don't even attempt some motionless RCs that would prove, that you are already in a dream, only you didn't notice.

Entering into LD through dreamscapes/visual HH is only one type of possible entry into LD. Stay aware and be passively observing every possible option that can happen. Good luck and happy dreams

It doesn't show the onset of a dream, but it must indicate that I reached a good phase in the dive. I know it doesn't matter because any phase may vary differently in each attempt, but at least...uhm... Ok, it doesn't matter. Thnx, nice knowing what it is. I am currently attempting WILD. I asked Sageous like a hundred questions. I'm pretty sure I raised his blood pressure lol. He is a very nice man, that helped me greatly.
DV and its staff are jewels to us, truly! How can we repay you
