      My plan for tonight

I've been reading Sageous' WILD tutorial and have a feeling tonight will be a success.
My plan is to wake up at 2:30 (4 hours and 30 minutes after I go to sleep) and read Stephen LaBerge's book on Lucid Dreaming for 10 minutes to get a LD mindset.
I'm going to lay back and try to relax all my muscles one at a time while repeating the mantra "I will lucid dream." And hopefully keep my awareness so I can enter the dream. I have HI a lot when I wake up, but I've never heard any sounds with it. I hope to experience that tonight when I try to WILD.
      All in all, I'm excited.
Is there anything I can do to improve this?
      Thanks!

      Yes, take this part out:

"read Stephen LaBerge's book on Lucid Dreaming for 10 minutes to get a LD mindset. "

Turning on lights will only make your brain think it's time to wake up. Combine that with the fact that after 4:30 hours (a bit less actually, because I'm guessing you didn't take into account the 15 minutes a person usually takes to fall asleep), you're still experience a good amount of N-REM sleep, and you're just delaying your circadian rhythm which will make your REM episode come later, making the WILD harder. If you can, audio book version works just as well without the issues of requiring light, or just do some visualization.

Also, mediate your WBTB duration relative to your drowsiness/dream recall, not on a fixed amount of time. Knowing your "sweet spot" (which varies every night) is the key for easy WILD induction. Good luck
