Your body is not relaxed. If 61 point relaxation is too hard, it sounds like it is difficult for you to keep your mind on one thing for very long--which could explain your twitching. If your body is wound tight, your mind usually is too. You say stretching has negative effects--what are they? You should keep stretching light, and not try to force your body to comply.
Try naukasana. There is a set of breathing exercises to go with it. I do this, stretch out my back and hamstrings, and I am usually ready to fall asleep (or at the least, I am very relaxed).
