      Long time LDer, first time learning about it a few days ago

      Hey, this site looks great and I can't wait to explore more. I've been having regular minor lucid dreams for about three years (I'm 25 now). It all started when I started having chronic nightmares, almost 9/10 nights. They bugged me at first, but soon I was able to ignore them and I knew in-dream that it wasn't real. Then I began to influence some power, primarily time travel when something I didn't like happened.

      Anyway, the other day I had an intense lucid dream where I had more control than I've ever had. I spoke to characters about how they were part of my mind (a little cute animal thing named Eeya was very upset that it would go away when I woke up). I had a guide named Gibbs. There was a Disney "Queen of Hearts" character that I was dragged over to confront (I didn't have full control). And I had an awesome battle with a compatriot named Ecco or something against some skeletons that I'm pretty sure I intentionally created for us to fight.

      I looked up dreams on the internet and found this site. Can't wait to learn more!

      Hey, and welcome to the site!

      It seems like you already have the general idea of the DILD technique, but if you'd like your DILDs to become more frequent, I'd suggest taking a look at King Yoshi's All Day Awareness DILD guide or just The Wiki Tutorial on DILD.

      Nice job with your dream! I think dilds are the most fun of all the techniques, personally. Keep it up!

      Welcome to DV! It's good you've learned how to combat nightmares using lucidity, it can make dreaming that much easier.
