      Back again

      Hey guys,

So I've been here before, probably a couple years ago now.. I successfully had a few lucid dreams while I was an active member but eventually lost motivation, to this day I can still remember vividly my first lucid dream, which felt amazing. I want to hopefully commit to it more seriously this time.

So a little information about me. I'm a Mathematics undergraduate in England, just finished my second year and will be beginning my third and final year this September. I love rock climbing in the form of bouldering mostly, running and yoga.

Looking forward to what's to come.

      Welcome back to Dreamviews.

Perhaps instead of seriously committing yourself to lucid dreaming, You might instead be smart to find a way to make technique practice fun. Many people who have motivation problems have them because they make lucid dreaming into a chore. Even if by making your technique more fun you makes it less effective, go for the fun route. Because then, you will be more inclined to stick with it.

Another way to stay motivated is to get involved with the community here. I don't say that as some robot sent here to tell you what to do. I say that because I was a hermit on this site for two years, and only in the past year or so have I started reaching out and trying to make friends, and my motivation went through the metaphorical roof. Just like Rock Climbing and Running, Lucid dreaming is much more fun if you can pack a few friends.

Thank you for the reply, I completely agree with you. For this to stick I need to approach it from a different angle. I plan to become active within this community and share my experiences but also hoping to get my partner involved. I know I'll stick with it if we're both working at it, also I think she'll enjoy it.
