Because this was in SB I came expecting funsies...and in that respect I feel the title is misleading! Not even a subtle toilet humour attempt has been made yet, I mean wtf.

But seriously, calling something bullshit, or even believing something to be bullshit...doesn't make it so. How could any single person's opinions (or even beliefs) reflect the feelings of everyone though...I mean realistically?

Facts are always facts, but opinions aren't...meaning opinions may OR may not be based in fact. To make things even trickier, beliefs can sometimes be based on opinion rather than fact.

AND, both facts AND opinions can be interpreted more than one way. This is truth. Having a strong opinion can be a good thing, but assuming others will or should share it...how is that even sensible?

I mean I guess you could attempt to debates issues of opinion rather than fact, but that seems more like mental masturbation than anything.

However, if such a thing as a mindgasm exists, perhaps (for some people) bullshit just doesn't fit into the equation.

3. I hope you realize this question involving the idea of a second brain sounds ridiculous, and perhaps we could all and should learn more about it before making such bold claims.
4. Some do, some don't. Also, most of the terms in this short question are highly ambiguous.
5. How is anything possible? I don't know, but I can say from personal experience that time can be perceived many ways. Whether awake OR dreaming, our perception of time can be easily altered. They say time is an illusion because, truly, our perception of it is the only way it exists. And also because our perception of it isn't always perfect. The truth is that the confusion CAN happen, in both waking life AND dream scenarios. A person's control of it though, seems less likely imho. I think it more likely that instead it is merely our perception of it that is altered, not the facts themselves.
6. People believe all sorts of things. Beliefs are like opinions in that they can both mistaken for fact. It varies, maybe they are, maybe they aren't. I can believe the world will end in 4028, but good luck invalidating it factually until then.

And lastly,

Sometimes they believe so much that they over time become unable to see clearly the world around them...which (surprise!) is full of people who believe just as strongly, yet differently than they do. This bias is potentially present in others AS WELL as ourselves, make no mistake

Expecting to always agree on un(dis)provable things...if any thing THAT seems far more absurd.

Yes he was a troll, but he is in a way right.

The reason I like dreamviews is because it teaches the methods that have been proven to work and most of our techniques are backed up by some level of reason. It's not like the other sites were a new member joins and the first reply is "Don't forget to untangle the silver cord or the dream will explode and you'll die and be stuck in a never ending loop of events".

The concise and clear methods we have are successful and make it comfortable for new members. I don't mind alternate ideas but it bothers me when I see people discussing the validity of tulpa's outside of beyond dreaming. There are members here who care a lot about the eradication of misinformation and a streamlining of the basic lucid dreaming process, and all the supernatural (dare I say nonsense) can get in the way of that.

The day the dreamguides start telling new members that lucid dreaming happens in an alternate dimension is the day I permanently leave dreamviews.

Makes sense.

If only he could have been in a way right without trollin.
