      How did you get WILD?

I have been struggling with the WILD technique. I have not completely successfully WILDed as of yet. My biggest struggle is staying still for a long period of time and keeping my heart from racing. I was wondering how those of you who can WILD trained yourself to WILD. Any tips or stories are appreciated.

      Thanks

WILD is hard, and it's just not the technique for some people. I takes a lot of practice.
I tried it this morning and I got as far as a cold tingling in my legs
To try and stop my heart from racing, I concentrate on my breathing, although this might not work for you.
I am yet to WILD, but I'm confident that I'll have it by the end of the year

^Agreed. Last night was the furthest I've ever gotten. I felt the super heaviness rush over my body and I could hear buzzing noise. My eyes really wanted to open then, and I've heard that that isn't good for the process, so I was trying my hardest to keep them shut, and I guess it was too hard because it stopped. I think next time I'm just going to let it happen and see.

I think the trick is setting your intention to realizing when your falling asleep. The WILDs I've done have never happened on purpose. I just try to go to sleep normally. Then I realize all of a sudden that im falling asleep.

So, wait, you don't do your WILDs in a nap or after a WBTB?

I've wanted to try one while falling asleep at night, but I was warned of the difficulty and never bothered.

I had 4 lucid dreams in my first week of trying (and then fell off the horse w/ a lack of dedication... as you can tell from my post history lol)

anyway, my initial success came by trying to WILD first thing at night, which is obviously very very hard, but that would get me in the mindset for the real attempt 4.5 hours later where I would do it again. When I don't attempt to WILD first thing, I struggle w/ a WBTB/WILD later in the night, but when I do it when I first go to sleep, my success rate w/ my later attempt in the night has been very very good (w/out a doubt over 50% success)

just some food for thought if you want to try that out. It's a bit time intensive, but for me personally its been the only reliable way to successfully WILD

Ya my WILDS happened with WBTBs, but i was just expecting to do a regular lucid. But I suddenly realize I was falling asleep.
      sorry for not saying that.

had my first WILD last night...so awesome...like he said I wasn't even trying to WILD, I had just woke from a lucid dream, and I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. All of the sudden, my whole body was vibrating. It started at my feet and went towards my head. It lasted forever, and at one point it sounded like someone was talking right in my ear, kinda creepy. Then I felt my whole body go limp, and my eyes started twitching and wanted to open. I let them open a little but tried to keep them mostly closed. I think you just half to find a middle of the road for that. Then the dream started right in my room. The last time I tried to WILD, it started in my room also, but I thought I had failed...false awakening. This time I expected to be in my room, so I remained lucid. I think you can actually try too hard to WILD, and its better if you just let yourself fall asleep while thinking of dreaming.

Wow. I think i was sooooo close in getting a WILD, i almost went under twice, my would entire body would vibrate for atleast 20-30 seconds to the point where it hurt and i thought i was going to have a heart attack so i stopped.

My question is can everyone do this? should i suck it up and let my body "spaz" as long as possible? i was so excited it was finally about to happen but i felt like 30 seconds was long enough or possibly unsafe. tomorrow i will endure 2 minutes of this vibrating if thats what it takes

when that happens just keep going and relax...trust me, it won't hurt you...I think fear causes it to hurt more, because when I tried to relax, and just enjoy it, it got easier
