Angry Trying for months, still cant ld!

Im angry, because for 3 months ive been trying to ld, but havnt got one yet. heres what ive been trying:

dont tell me to dild, because i will stop, look around (after reading a post), try it again 10 minutes later, then forget completely.

I almost got a WILD once, because i was seeing pictures then flipped out and woke up. until this day, i cant WILD, because of different reasons:
      1:school
2: super tired, forgets the whole WILD thing and goes back to bed
3: if i acctually manage to stay awake, I either fall back asleep or have trouble sleeping.

although WILD is my favorite type to learn, because its not based off luck but skill instead. Can anyone help me acheive a WILD or other type of LD that does not involve DILDS.

note, i go to bed and set alarm 5-6 hours for WILDing.

haha, months. Try 8 years without success, then get back.

Also, DILD isn't based on luck... around 99% of my lucids are DILD. It is just DILD, just as WILD, takes a lot of practice.
Also, if you are too tired, WILD isn't for you, especially with school. If you want to WILD though, you can go with sleep deprivation for a long amount of time, that will make it easier to WILD.

And 5-6 hours isn't that good, you don't have a set up for that, need to try with different times to learn your OWN time to wake up at, then attempt to WILD.

I know it's tough, especially when you want it so bad... but I think it will help to try to keep a positive attitude toward LDing, like, think of how exciting it will be when you have success. I'm pretty new here, but the general consensus on DV seems to be that stressing about it can hinder your goal. Like someone else posted somewhere, daydream about all the things you'd like to do during future lucidity, "let your mind have fun." I've been doing this a LOT, and it's fun. As for your method of doing it, guess I can't really help, just do whatever works best with your schedule/lifestyle.

I'm sort of in the same boat... I've been trying for 2 months now, no success yet, but I firmly believe I will at some point... so every time I go to sleep I think of it as a potential adventure. That's my humble advice... try to turn the frustration into anticipation & excitement.

Really important questions there. Just try the MILD technique coupled with doing RCs during the day. Wild when you wake up in the night and you'll have one soon. If you really want it, then you can have it. Just gotta work some. Good luck!

LDing is something I don't think you can really force...it just happens. I lucid dream at least once a night, and have for many years. I've never done anything like MILD, DILDS, etc. Its just natural for me I guess.
My only advice is to not push yourself too hard with this. Just let it come. ^^

You may want to look into the DEILD technique also. It's a type of WILD, only when you wake from a dream you just stay still and don't open your eyes. I'm getting very close to WILDing with this technique (I made it to SP for the first time last night) and I find it's much easier than if I get up or move around first.

Haha, yeah Inphinity it was weird. It felt like I was riding on a train what with all the rumbling and vibrations. I didn't stop it intentionally though, I just got too excited. After it faded, I layed there thinking "damn, that was pretty cool" lol.
