Need some tips from the pros :P

So I have been off and on with a dream journal and such. Kept slacking because of school stuff and having to wake up. But now I have 3 straight weeks off, and want to start up again. I want some tips with RCs, WILDS, and everything else haha.

Try deep relaxation techniques while visualizing something peaceful. WILDS are easier to attain then DILD or MILD.

Not necessarily. While some people do find WILDs easier, the DILD technique is basically about awareness and whether you can really question if you're dreaming or not.

It's actually quite simple - dreams and real life both feel real, because we don't question them when they're happening. So what's the real difference? Right now you think you're awake, but how do you really know for sure? Real life feels real, but so do dreams.

That's a good mindset to get into in terms of DILD. Then, do a reality check to confirm.

Meditation and MILD can help - "know" that you'll have a lucid dream tonight. Repeat it over and over in your head. Do a quick WBTB in the middle of the night; during this time, do a few simple math problems and a reality check or two.

      Good luck!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

One thing that really helps me for RCs is that I have an app on my Droid called Reality Test Lite it makes a txt msg sound and asks you to check if you're dreaming it gives you options for RCs like math, clock, and word association (the nice thing about this is if you have the checks scheduled right you will hear the sound in your sleep).
I also have hematite magnets that wont spin on each other (because they're magnetic) they just wobble. The nice thing about doing a physical RC (like twirling magnets) is that muscle memory is one of the strongest(in fact when I do a RC in a dream my magnets are the first thing I go for).
I had an idea though recently to have my boyfriend either tell me I am dreaming or ask me if I am whenever he thinks about it, I don't think it is a coincidence that last night my DC told me I was dreaming.
The best advice I can give you though is don't let school interfere with your endeavor, let them coexist. Get your homework done early and go to bed 1-2 hours earlier to compensate for waking up, logging in your DJ, and getting back to sleep. You can keep a DJ and get plenty of rest for school if you find a way to incorporate it into your life.

Have a specific task in mind and get excited about it. Remind yourself of the plan before going to bed. Try WBTB too.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

I think I will try a WILD over the break. I sort of half tried one before. It was before I slept at all, and I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere, but I wanted to see how much I could relax. My fingers started tingling, which is a good sign I guess. The only thing I am moderately worried about is crap your pants hypnagogic imagery. Also had a moderately successful half-DILD in August: http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/so-close-100771/
