      First lucid dream

Hey guys, had first lucid dream the other day. I was a member here aaaages ago and quit trying to gain lucidity because nothing ever worked.

Anyway, my first lucid dream was super short. I came home from work and was really tired and had a hour nap. In my dream I was walking around outside near a beach. There was bang of some sort (probably from outside in real life) and all of the sudden I said to myself, "Hey I'm dreaming".

I had a chance to look around and notice how clear everything was, waves on the beach, cars driving around etc. Then I felt fuzzy and woke up. Too much was happening to remember how to stabilize etc.

Weird thing was there was NO SOUND in the dream - the background sound was just the hum of my computer in the room I was sleeping in. So I guess it was just a light sleep.

Hi, welcome back to Dreamviews, and congratulations on the first lucid dream! It's not uncommon to find the dream extremely quiet; it can be unnerving but you can always add sound by summoning it - just by expecting music to play in the background, or hear something else.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

If there isn't any sound, why not try to make some. Pick something up and throw it. Feel something then break it. Use your senses and it could bring around a more clear and well formed dream. And congrats on the LD.
