DG - Dream Guide - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource

1. A dream character who helps you and knows more about your dream than the average dream character; some believe that it is a manifestation of your subconscious.

2. A Dreamviews Staff member who presides over the dreaming sections. They are the ones to ask questions about dreaming of.

Read dreamviews Wiki =) I believe that a dreamguide is when your lucidity level is so high that you can communicate with your subconscious.

does this dream guide actually exist? or do you create it because u belive in it? a paradox?
maybe the sub conciounce is not like u can talk to it but rather just like a black board where the mind safes behaviors to use

I've thought on this. It could be either. If you ask it if it is a "real" thing, either way it answers, it could be what you expect it to be.

I have read about people who have their dream guides come to them and tell them that they are dreaming and coax them into lucidity. How true this is, im not sure, but it seems like it could work? A subconscious reality check almost, just training your subconscious to trigger a check for you...hmm.

Dream guides aren't something that's fundamental to dreams, like a science or anything. They're just another fun thing to do in a lucid dream, like flying.

Like most things in dreams, it's an "it exists because you expect it to exist" sort of thing. Many people like to think of it as their subconscious speaking to them. But that's just their opinion.
