Should my first LD come naturally?

Or should I try a technique to induce a lucid dream? I haven't had a lucid dream yet and I've been trying for a few months.

For about 2 weeks(until now) I have been just forgetting about lucid dreaming because I didn't want to stress myself out. Now I'm back into it since spring break just started and I'm out of school for a week

      Also, my recall is decent.

So should I let my first come naturally or use a technique? Thanks

Try a technique. Do DILD. I haven't achieved either, but with support, we both can.
I'm Sah and I am relatively new to Lucid Dreams. ;3

I think DILD is all you can try for now, WILD is pretty hard for begginers, you need to be a lot more experienced.

I got results the very same week I started trying (even tho I've had LD as a child I think that was helpfull too)

Use the RC's, and the awareness techniques, that's all you need to do, but If you keep telling yourself you may not do it, or am I doing this wrong? it won't work, just try to see what is in your dreams whats weird about em? then tell yourself that's impossible to be real, and that If I'm seeing that is because I'm dreaming.

Soon enough you'll see yourself wondering that In dreams and then RChing

hope this helps for you, is my own experience and that's the way it works for me, I'm amazed how fast results have come to me

wake back to bed DILD is the best way for a beginner to get his first (and more) lucid dreams. It's super easy! Works for me when I have time

Def try to go natural your first time, it will feel so rewarding once it happens. most likely it will happen spontaneously when you least expect it.

It took me 3 days to get my first LD after joining here. I am a semi natural LDer so that really helps me. Just make sure you don't try too hard, that always ends badly. Just give it some time. Just go for DILDs now, I see a lot of posts on here with beginners trying WILD, and it just doesn't/rarely works. You need time, just start by doing RCs, DJing, mantras, etc.
Definitely don't use supplements when starting.

Go natural with alot of help from techniques. Maybe repeat some things before bed and RC alot throughout the day. Besides though, your first LD is likely going to be kinda short. What happens generally goes something like this. "OMG i'm in a dream"... dream spinning into blackness. Wake up. Oh damn! Seems to be what alot of people say after their first time.

Yeah! My first time I lucid dream was extremely long because I didnt expect it and I went it with (plus I was like 10 years old), but now that I am older I do not have many lucid dreams and last time I did i SHIT MY PANTS and was sooo excited I flew up into the air and it felt like I was flying through outer space and I realized how awesome it was i freaked out with excited and immediately woke up. I was SO BUMMED. I haven't had a lucid dream since..!

I would advise ADA (lol i advise it in like every single topic xD.). Apart from helping you with LD, it also kind of makes your waking life more vivid.

I still haven't had one yet after 2 weeks, but I make sure to do WBTBs, tell myself "I have lucid dreams", do reality checks as often as possible, and I just started taking B6 a few days ago (and might give a few other drugs a try)

I just keep staying positive, and remember that after the first one it only gets easier.

I think it all depends on you! If you want to start trying techniques, then you should do that! If you're going to stress yourself out about it, then just work on your recall and let things flow naturally. We all work differently, and I think you should maybe start trying techniques and see how it goes. You'll never know what works for you until you try it!

      Good luck!
