      Why are conversations more difficult?

It seems I can interact with others or simply move around and watch, but usually when I attempt conversation I wake up. Sometimes I can give direction and have people interact with me but talking doesn't happen. Anyone similar? I've been lucid in my dreams for about four years now but just joined this site. Thanks.

Conversations can cause lower lucidity and a loss of dream stability. For some reason getting involved in conversations and other dream plots can wake you up. I am not sure why this happens. My best guess is that getting involved in plot lines narrows your focus which subsequently kills lucidity or your dream. Try to focus on more than just the current conversation. Or avoid them all together.

Like everything, it takes practice. Learning to divide your concentration across multiple things at once is a skill that needs to be developed.

Anytime I follow the dream plot (which I have only done a few times) it makes lucidity fade out

I was lucid last night until I started talking to this girl, and we started having a full on conversation... I believe I lost my lucidity there lol.

I think it has something to do with you being focused on the conversation rather than being focused on staying lucid.

Richarddad, thanx for opening this thread.

      Wow!

This thread is useful yo me. I never get lucid. This may be the reason why. But, I absolutly DON'T want to spendy dreamtime trying to stay lucid. I wamt to .... ummmm .. not be lonely. So I get involved in the dream.

      Also

Two nights ago I woke three times from the same dream. I was texting on my phone with someone. They were replying. It was relaxing and absorbing.

      So

I think that dream and this thread is encouraging me to "diologue" more in my dreams. It may push Lucidity more and more away but it's what I want. I am never bored or lonely in a non-lucid dream. I don't like Lucids. I love non-lucid dreams they feeeeel better (to me). Thanx for this thread Richarddad.

      Seriously (???)

Non-lucids DELIVER-UP much more information than STUPID Lucids (!!!)

debrajane......I can see your point and it is completely valid. During a Lucid Dream I feel much more alone because I cannot reach out to someone without losing it entirely. Normal dreams I'm always interacting with someone close ....even tho' I don't have a clue as to who they are! richarddad

Because folks here (or anywhere) wont share-dream with me I bought a white mouse from the pet shop. The vet said he was definately male (a buck) so I would send him lots of love to him, in his nice big cage. I found myself saying "hello ...hello" days later I was saying "hello buck"

Laterstill When interacting with the more trusting and inquisitive little white male mouse I found myself getting excited and flooded with oxytocin (the brain chemical that makes us fall-in-love and bond with our babies. In Excitement I was saying "Hello Buck" faster and faster and his name becal "Buckello".

      Any why

I bought the mouse to mutual-dream with. And it happened.

Then I discovered "Tulpa Land" on Dreamviews and BuckHello is my Tulpa. It is Wonder-full.

My real mum turned up in my Tulpa dream of two nights ago.

sorry, I'm rambling, and I forgot the point I wanted to make, sorry.

Maybe it uses a different part of your brain that requires more active thinking? That might be why it wakes you up

Why won't people shared dream with you?

How good is your dream control on non lucid dreams? I use fire, telekinesis, and fly around a lot in mine.
