I find the WBTB / DILD early morning to be the easier or more 'natural' technique, so this would suit anyone who wanted to 'learn' how to LD.
However I do agree with Freda that attempting to WILD firstly would be like running before you could walk.
I have attempted WILD on the 'odd' occasion, only as an exercise to get to know my own body. E.g. How it feels to relax & see imagery with the different but subtle levels of conciousness.
Anything 'more' from me trying it out would have been a bonus, obviously.
Regarding age. The younger you are then the more imagination you have, I think, which helps. However the older you get then the more experience you gain.
I also agree with louie54's recommendations.
Take it slowly & don't do too much as it is (very) easy to get discouraged & give up whatever the technique - I quote from MY own experiences.
You will find lots of help, info. & encouragment here on DV, etc.
Good luck Sarimdesert.
