      My Prep.

      Hi everyone, I'm new here

I was just wondering if I could add something to my sleep preparation to achieve lucidity.I always end up remembering the dream, but never know that I'm dreaming and... you know...

So I have this diamond that I use that I call "The Rock of Thoughts" that I examine carefully before finally going to sleep. I say to myself what I want to dream about and try to picture it in my head, and then slowly drift asleep.

Usually I see my "Rock of Thoughts" in my dreams, but don't realize that it is what it is I don't do much else to prepare or anything...

Can anyone suggest anything I could change?

BTW THIS IS MA 1st POST

The term that will be most useful to you is MILD. Look for tutorials and threads refering to MILDs. Thhe basic idea is anything that you can do while awake or going to sleep that will encourage lucidity. Your ritual with the diamond would be an example of a MILD technique. You should be able to find dozens of ideas by following up on MILDs in tutorials or threads. I would start by adding to the diamond ritual a part where you say to your self that you will know it is a dream.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Welcome to the forum! Try visualizing the words 'I am dreaming' or write 'Dreaming' on the Rock of Thoughts. For me, lucid dream induction is all about visualization.

When you visualize the dream you would like to have, be sure to imagine yourself becoming lucid. Imagine performing a reality check, becoming lucid, and stabilizing the dream. If you have had a lucid dream in the past, try to recreate that feeling you get when you first become lucid.

I like to review an old dream journal, sometimes, too. It helps put me in the right state of mind.
