Problem with my eyelids when trying to WILD or DEILD

Hi there, this is my first post on the forum

I wanted to ask help about an issue i have when i try WILD or DEILD.
I didn't find anything here or elsewhere on the internet about it, so i guess it is a quite unusual issue.

Here is the problem : Whenever i feel like im getting close to have a LD (heart beating fast, body numb and warm...), my eyelids start blinking (opening and closing) really fast for approximately 30 sec to 1 mn (it can start again after if i keep trying to have a LD), which is really annoying.
This disturbs me because I want to make my eyes keep shut in order not to break the process, but it doesn't really work and it makes me lose my concentration.
However if i let it happen, it still somehow keeps me from having a LD (maybe because it makes my eyes get some daylight, i don't know...)

I am really lost and don't know what to do to avoid this.
I would be really thankful for all your help, thanks

If your eyes are bugging out like this, you are already asleep. It is time to enter a dream. Direct your attention away from your body, and into a dream scene. The weird sensations in your body are going to be distracting, but be patient and persevere. Imagine a new dream scene, with a new body for yourself. If you bounce back and forth a few times, don't worry. With your racing heart, you might even feel like you have ruined everything, and are now totally awake. You are not awake. Don't be fooled. If you've made it this far, you just need a bit of patience to make the last jump. Sometimes I get two or three rounds of vibrations, racing heart, body distortions, ect, before I can enter a dream. Just be patient.

That happens to me too when doing nap wilds. I haven't done that in a while now though but I think you need to learn to not pay it any attention, let it happen, have the room really dark and then it doesnt matter so much.

      Thanks for the quick answers!
To Robot_Butler : I'm nearly sure I wasn't asleep yet, the dream scene wasn't strong enough and I could still feel my body. I'll try to be more patient next time, but last time it just felt like this eyelid bugging totally screwed the process, i had no more "sleep-announcing" sensations after it (warm body, racing heart).
To daban : Ok, but the thing is my room can't be dark because I have no shutters, so I always get some daylight into my eyes anyway. Do you think it's the daylight that ruins it all?

Anyway, I'll try not to pay attention to this eyelid issue tonight and I'll tell you how it went tomorrow (if i manage to do DEILD since i stopped trying WILD).

Yes and with DEILD it shouldnt be a problem because you will find yourself in the dream before this happens I think.
When I do naps, I have that problem but when I do DEILDs I just go instantly into a dream within like 1 minute. I just get the vibrations and I dont even notice my eyes because next thing I wake up in my room(dream).

Well, my DEILD experience of last night (which was also my first DEILD experience) lasted something like 5 mn, ending with this eyelid bug. Don't you have any idea to help me solve my problem?

No I'm sorry I don't.. Are you sure it was your eyes waking you up? Maybe your not tired enough. When I do deild and wild in the night I'm too tired to notice my body at all. If you can't focus away from your eyes, try to be really tired and use a strong anchor instead.
For example if you WILD, and you notice you usually are too alert, try to not getting up in the wbtb and instead try focusing hard on keeping your mind awake. Adjust that focus depending on how tired you feel(how fast you think you'll fall asleep).

Also, do dream stabilization for longer dream next time.

Ok, thanks for the hints, although I think I'll try to stick to DEILD from now on
I couldn't do dream stabilisation since I haven't had a lucid dream yet. What I called my "DEILD experience" was the attempt to do DEILD, not the LD in itself ^^
Anyway, I'll try DEILD tonight so I'll give you my feedback tomorrow (I'll try not to pay attention if my eyelids start bugging)

I've seen many many many posts concerning when to LD and I have reached this point at the time when i am going to bed anytime between 10 or 1:00 in the morning. I gave up after achieving this state, the only time i had reached it was before going to bed rather than in the middle of the night =/ so i am curious to know whether or not I should continue practising b4 bed, cause evrytime i try something in the middle of the night it either doesn't work or i sleep through my alarm some how..

Actually, I was too tired to try it last night . I'll give it another go tonight.
Simplicity0, it seems like you are not on the right topic here, we're talking about eyelid problem.
However, I think that (from what I read) you should do WBTB to WILD, otherwise it is much much harder. Just put your alarm at a higher volume

      Haha no problem
So I tried to DEILD again last night and not to pay attention to this eyelid issue but just as last time, it kept me from having a LD (though it still felt like I was very close to it), and after 5mn I felt totally awake and couldn't get back to sleep.
Anyone got an idea to help me?
Otherwise I guess I'll just try DILD, but I really liked this DEILD method, which was very effective for me (got me very close to a LD within a few days)
