Actually, it's not really the RC that makes you lucid (although sometimes it does, when you do it out of habit and get lucid). It's your awareness that initially lets you know something's wrong and it's a dream. THEN you do an RC to prove it. I'd say keeo working on your awareness and questioning your waking reality. The more you get used to it, the more you can also naturally tell the difference between waking and dreaming reality, and that makes you more inclined to get lucid when you are actually dreaming.
