Question New Idea for an RC.

I apologize if this has been posted before, but I think I have an idea for an RC.

In waking life, you always see your nose in your peripheral vision.

In your dream, I don't know if this holds to be true.

Perhaps an RC is trying to go cross-eyed, or closing one eye and looking at your nose?

      Just a thought.

      Ideas?

Hmm, considering it wouldn't be straying from the norm to have a nose in either reality, or the dream world, I would have to say this wouldn't be an entirely effective RC. Me looking at my nose in real life wouldn't be anything different from looking at it whilst dreaming. So, it really wouldn't arouse any suspicion as to weather i'm dreaming or not. Although, I do like the idea because it is very under the radar, which is kind of a problem with some RC's.

Maybe instead, try say.. 3 times or so at trying to make your nose disappear/change while looking at it? After the 3rd try in real life, you'd be most certain it was reality. However, firstly, we'd have to enter a lucid dream and attempt to see how easy it is to morph/vanish our noses.. new short little task? I think it could just be

It's a well known, established RC, but it is sometimes reported to have reliability issues.

I guess I am an idiot then... Haha.
I feel like it would be reliable for me since I never see my nose in my vision in a dream.

This was in my RC arsenal for a while but I've trimmed it down to just nose pinch and hand check. Nose pinch always works for me, and hand check has worked as well but the 2nd time I did it my hands were "normal" but slightly transparent and a bit elongated. So nose pinch for the win! I will try this next time I remember, though, since I find RCs very fun/amusing in dreams .

Well so far as I know, every reality check has reliability issues. I once had a dream where I did a nose pinch without thinking twice and failed to realize the fact that I was dreaming. I could definitely see this working as a reality check, in fact, I may add this to my tool belt of reality checks.

This is exactly it's job. The nose may not appear in the dream. I like the hand check RC cuz it is meaningful, so it is the easiest to use for having in the dream, so it is great expectation work!

So, you are copying me and coloring your text on every post? Nice.

I only use the nose pinch, as I find it most reliable.

I just thought of this because I was sitting on my couch and noticed that I always can see my nose.
