I'm just putting whats worked for me, gab. As for the HH, several people have confirmed that the SSILD cycle at the core of this tech succeeds in producing some pretty intense HH. Still, you're right that there are people for which it very rare, if at all, to experience HH. However, this does not interfere with the tech, as the cycles still succeed in producing there desired effect(3D void/Pre-Dream state).

Zangetsu, there really isn't a stopping point for this. The great thing about using the SSILD cycle at the core of this, is that even if you fail to remain aware until you've reached the 3D void, you've sort of conditioned yourself to more closely inspect the dream, heightening your chance of lucidity upon actually entering it. It's sort of a built-in fail-safe, and the reason I used the "Cycle" for its core.
