my question is, do you count, watch the HI, focus on your body (61 point relaxation), or what.

Any tips would be helpful. Ive tried 20+ times and i have yet to reach any form of SP.

Another problem is my body can function with almost no sleep. So even if i wake up after 5 hours of sleep, will still have trouble going BACK to sleep, probably from an active brain.

Please help, i have made NO progress in my 20+ times

Try my reverse blinking technique: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=34017

What I usually do is stretch out before I WILD and get loose. Try to avoid having any constricting clothes on, anything that's too tight, etc. DON'T do it after eating a meal, because then your body is in the process of digesting and then it's very hard to relax as you become aware of the digestion and it's really weird.... Then what I begin to do is either use my reverse blinking technique alone, or in conjuction with Autogenics. Autogenics is an AWESOME method of relaxation which can be found here: http://www.guidetopsychology.com/autogen.htm but it takes a long, dedicated time to achieve. An easier method can be found here called:
      Progressive Muscle Relaxation : http://www.guidetopsychology.com/pmr.htm

Anyways what I usually do for an Astral Projection (different from a lucid dream but it's like the same thing) is I focus on my third eye located at the forehead between the eyebrows. I relax and focus my awareness in this spot, sometimes visualizing the letter A (my visualizations are not normal visualizations, they're more vivid, I can see them as if I'm seeing it with my eyes open) and just let go of my body eventually it slips away into oblivion and I have absolutely no feeling of my physical body and this is when I "project" out of my third eye into my astral body or dream body.

Another way I WILD is by Quiescing my mind, and to do this...as you're WILDing just visualize a flash of lightning in the sky somewhere but DONT hear the thunder! You know the sound of thunder is going to come but WAIT for it...everytime you do this your mind goes into a blank state and you're not thinking about anything else..you're just waiting for that thunder.....keep doing this and you'll go down in a trance quick. Goodluck.

      Now here is Nowhere

I woke up this morning and got into bed. Went up to the roof and swam down the chimney to the mall. They had a special on meat so I poured some into a glass and watered the milkman. Then I drew myself home and found the fish had ate the cat the cat had ate the dog and the dog had been eaten by the mailman. Then I got out of bed and went back to sleep.

Try staying up for over an hour also.

For me, if I wake up after only 4-5 hours of sleep, I'll feel like complete garbage for the first 5 mins, and then only if I get up I'll feel supercharged - otherwise I'll fall asleep almost right away. This lasts for maybe an hour or two. After that, when you start sort of getting a light headache, lay back down, get comfortable, think about something - a memory will do - and you'll feel your physical body crash right before your concious mind

After I get about 4 or 5 hours of sleep I go back to bed and focus on the HI's. Usually they will turn into full dream scape images and I have entered the dream lucid.

the only problem with that, titan, is the REM periods are spaced far apart at that amount of sleep. You will probably give up after 45 minutes or so, but its worth a shot!!!

I never focused on anything. I keep my eyes shut and imagine myself floating. Sometimes I find myself trying to break SP ( which is the most uncomfortable feeling to me ) but I try to continue to relax. Once I project my sensations to floating then I just mostly relax and listen to all the strange noises. I also focuse alot on my breathing well I can't help but focuse on it because it's all funny sounding and strange. After what feels like forever I open my dream eyes and I find myself in my room on the floor maybe 95% of the time. From that moment I'm Lucid and I'll usually walk through the wall so I can go outside and have some fun.

The following is a technique/game I would play in the car when i got bored...but actually last night I thought of how this would help when you go straight into a dream after falling asleep.....

What I do is I close my eyes (if you are not the driver and if you know which way - at least WHERE- the driver is going - preferably a short enough distance) and you must pay attention to your 'photoghraphic memory' and your memory in general of how long/short streets are - and you must imagine it and pay attention otherwise you'll get lost...Try it and if you still don't understand send me a PM...

This can be applied in the sense that you are having your eyes closed while not falling asleep or daydreaming, you must be present - in a sense - or you 'lose' the game...

I think this might help focus, maybe you need it maybe you don't, I just wanted to put this technique out somewhere....i hope this helps

I have the same problem. Sometimes even getting up and going to the bathroom is enough to keep me up for hours, I guess I just have an active mind that doesn't shut off easily. A million things will pop in my head while lying there after being up for a while and it makes it very hard to relax enough to sleep. What I've found helps is not to get up at all. After you wake up after 4-5 hours, try not to move much or open your eyes. Realize that you've woken and try to be still and concentrate on HI that will come eventually. It's a good time to briefly turn on the light and write in your DJ if possible but otherwise just lay there. Don't worry about SP too much - not everyone experiences it. The only times I have is when I've awakened from a dream. Good luck!

I have that EXACT same problem. Except with me, anything after 4 hours of sleep, and im up for good until that night. No matter how hard I try to get back to sleep, how relaxed I get, or what sleep aids I take, I don't fall back asleep.

I'd like to WILD, but this little problem of mine prevents that from being possible.

I usually think about like walking up a flight of stairs, which each individual step saying...
      "I"...then
      "will"...then
      "Lucid"...then
      "Dream"

Basically every step I go has one of those words and I just repeat until I'm in a dream. Works pretty well for me.

Well if an Hour wakes yu up to much try staying up for 30 minutes. If that still wakes you up too much try staying up for about 15 minutes. Untill you've found the exact right wakefullness/Sleepy-condition desired for WBTB+WILD.

However I highly recommend you to try Synthix's Reverse Blinking Method.
It works wonders for me. At first you don't really notice the sleepy trance it induces, but after a while, when your eyes become too tired to open them up every now and then and you keep your eyes closed awaiting the Big sleep, you'll notice how ''deep'' you suddenly are.

I tried it on many restless, insomniac nights and it got me to sleep within 30 minutes.

Really Great technique Synthix. I find it Briljant.
