What I usually do is stretch out before I WILD and get loose. Try to avoid having any constricting clothes on, anything that's too tight, etc. DON'T do it after eating a meal, because then your body is in the process of digesting and then it's very hard to relax as you become aware of the digestion and it's really weird.... Then what I begin to do is either use my reverse blinking technique alone, or in conjuction with Autogenics. Autogenics is an AWESOME method of relaxation which can be found here: http://www.guidetopsychology.com/autogen.htm but it takes a long, dedicated time to achieve. Anyways what I usually do for an Astral Projection (different from a lucid dream but it's like the same thing) is I focus on my third eye located at the forehead between the eyebrows. I relax and focus my awareness in this spot, sometimes visualizing the letter A (my visualizations are not normal visualizations, they're more vivid, I can see them as if I'm seeing it with my eyes open) and just let go of my body eventually it slips away into oblivion and I have absolutely no feeling of my physical body and this is when I "project" out of my third eye into my astral body or dream body.
Another way I WILD is by Quiescing my mind, and to do this...as you're WILDing just visualize a flash of lightning in the sky somewhere but DONT hear the thunder! You know the sound of thunder is going to come but WAIT for it...everytime you do this your mind goes into a blank state and you're not thinking about anything else..you're just waiting for that thunder.....keep doing this and you'll go down in a trance quick.
