      Great idea about opening your eyes. I often use reverse blinking, so I think I have an idea of what you are talking about. I can see this working especially well when you are super tired and losing consciousness. I'm going to try this tonight. I haven't even attempted a WILD in over a month

      Light and Darkness are the switches that toggle your state of consciousness between the Sleeping and the Waking state of consciousness.

      A bit of light would reawaken you somewhat I figured.

      Nice idea there, I also use reverse blinking and it works wonders so I can see this helping me keep my focus. I'll give it a try tonight and post results.

      huh i find that i lose focus too i will definitely have to try this thanks!
      my only question is if there is light in the room will it take you out of focus and ruin all of your progress?

      That seems to be pretty functioning technique. Robot_Butler said this would be especially effective technique, when you are superb tired. Maybe even opening of the eyes would make you even more tired (just remember the reverse blinking technique).

      Please, SKA one potentional disadvantage of technique written after first use would be, you have not covered most of the details. As you will gain more experience, please update this post, so it will reflect your current knowledge.

      Well yeah it is a new, experimental technique. That's why I want more people to try it with me and give feedback on results. This still needs some tweaking.


      Reversed blinking seemed to do SOMETHING right for me too. Never had an LD because of it, but I somehow noticed it made me fall asleep far more consciously and experience dreams thereafter that were much clearer and easier remembered.

      My method however requires you to open your eyes and keep them open for some time. Like 6 - 20 seconds. Something I added up to this yesterday night is a Zypher.
      A friend of mine taught me how to write down my intention and use the letters to create a magical looking symbol. This symbol then contains your intention in a powerfull way.

      I made a Zypher symbol of "Lucidity" which looks really Magical. I'm thinking of putting a big version of it on my ceiling so that when I open my eyes I will see the Lucidity-Zypher, focus on it and be brought back to my Lucid Intention.
      I'll soon post a pic of my "Lucidity" Zypher.

      And, no Lance_r, I don't think a light in your room will hinder. In fact I think it will help.
