That seems to be pretty functioning technique. Robot_Butler said this would be especially effective technique, when you are superb tired. Maybe even opening of the eyes would make you even more tired (just remember the reverse blinking technique).

Please, SKA one potentional disadvantage of technique written after first use would be, you have not covered most of the details. As you will gain more experience, please update this post, so it will reflect your current knowledge.
