Thread: I dont like my dreams somehow.

Cool. I should try that when the opportunity comes. But there is one difference in my control and control you are talking about. My control is unconscious. I can move dream world, i can let things explode, but I am not lucid most of the time. As I always wanted to have such kind of dreams before {when I didnt have recall at all}, now I should be happy, but I am not.

In my dreams, it seems, that winning against a monster or using some superpower is not satisfying. I would like to create my own town and enjoy some really peaceful dreams within it. I would like to experience piece in my dreams. Is there any way?

Maybe you should be using your dreams to help you resolve your real life issues? Dreams can make these things much clearer and help you see things you couldn't in waking life. Maybe find something you want more clarity on and focus on it before sleep.

I can understand the empty dream thing, even though they may sound exciting the real magic in the dream is how they feel.

I feel the same way. After a few months of intense dream recall I sometimes just can't be bothered recording more of the same. I let my dreams lie fallow for a while. Ideally I work on putting the lessons I learnt from them to work in life and trust that when my dreams are ready they'll get my attention again.

I can sympathize with you, Adraw. I have a similar problem when I recall boring or hollow dreams. It is hard to stay motivated when you don't see the meaning in your dreams.

Do your dreams leave you with a bad feeling in the morning? Like you feel depressed because you realize your life can never be as epic as your dreams? Or are you just exhausted from all the action?

Maybe you could try doing something in your waking life to influence your dreams. Similarly to how you can form habits in your waking life that will carry over into your dreams to become lucid. Maybe you can develop some habits or meditations that will influence your dreams and make them more to your liking? I've had lots of success with incubating dream content, so I know it is possible.

My dreams are always full with emotions, which i usually dont express during a day. And probably the excess of emotions makes me feel so bad in the morning often. The less I like the dream content, the more accurate it seems comparing to my real world situation. Things i would like to supress are taking full proportions in dreams. I guess I really should take a big breath and actually should enjoy discovering sides of myself i always wanted to supress.

it seems i couldnt be given a better doctor. yet sometimes it is really hard. This or that way. Thanx for encouragement. It helps to persist.
