      Lucid Dream Survey

Basic Questions. I'm just curious to see what people say.
      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?

Don't really recall, three weeks maybe slightly less.

      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?

      I don't keep count.

      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?

      Not to my knowledge.

      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?

      N/A

      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?

I have a lot of sex and fly a lot.

      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?

I trick my body into falling asleep and then go straight into a WILD.

Well as my signature says I haven't had a LD and I'm curious as to the amount of time it took and other things. I'm also wondering what's happening with the dry spell many people are in. Also I'm just curious.

After i joined it took me up to almost a month before i had my first lucid. The best technique that works for me is wild. The things i dream about most in my lucids? My old neighborhood in another state, celebrities and girls. Favorite reality check? Looking at my hands, in dreams there will either be more than five fingers or less than five fingers. Hopefully everybody has five fingers in real life.

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
The 2nd night (I had had LDs before in my life though).

      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
I was averaging about 1 per day when I was doing my best

      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
      Yes

      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
Since the week before Christmas. I know why I'm in my dry spell though. I went to visit my parents' and didn't really bother too much with dreams during that time. I haven't really got back in the swing of things since then.

      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
The DV monthly tasks, or try something I haven't before.

      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
WBTB with WILD (and some MILD thrown in). I don't usually end up with a WILD this way, but it seems to greatly increase my DILD chances.

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
Couple of weeks, I think. Could have been less. Might have been more, but I don't think it was.
      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
Per week? (I usually have only a couple of lucids a month, if that, though I occasionally have a lot of lucids in a short span of time)
      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
I'm not remembering my dreams much lately, and when I do dream, I usually don't remember anything more than that I was dreaming. As for lucids, it's not been long enough to tell.
      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
Maybe a week since I had a dream. Off and on for weeks before that.
      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
No common theme that I can find.
      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
Dream-induced Lucid Dream. My dream self usually doesn't care much about lucid dreaming stuff, and I can;t get to sleep in less than a few hours, so most dream induction methods are pretty useless for me.

      Cool

This survey needs some more restrictions or more questions. All people have had LD before they ever come here, and will have them regardless if this place helps them get more of them or not.

I don't remember ever having realised that I was dreaming while still in the dream before I arrived here.

And for the record, I checked my dream journal. It was just under 3 months after i decided to start a dream journal, and within 3 weeks of joining dreamviews, if the dream journal makes any difference.

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?

Ive only had one since I started thinking about it...

      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
Yes, I'm having trouble remembering any dreams at all...

      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
A MONTH...I only remember 3 dreams in the past month only 1 was LUCID.

      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
I usually just find myself beginning to float around the room...bodyless, then get scared and wake up.

      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
      Havn't figured that out yet : D

      That's bullshit.

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
I think about a month but probably a bit less. I'll go with just under a month.
      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
In my prime, 2 was the max.
      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
      Yes.
      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
      About a year
      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
Try to fly and just learn new tricks.
      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
Not sure yet, but they've all been DILD so far. Usually from doing LOTS of RC's during the day I get lucids. My RC's are looking at my hands and squeezing my nose and trying to breathe as well as general awareness i.e Noticing strange things, checking to see if things are the same as they were a few seconds ago; in other words being lucid throughout the day.

      3. No
      4. N/A
      5. I'm still can't stay lucid long enough to do anything. I flown for few seconds, and it felt great, but I didn't had enough time to enjoy it.

1/ one or two weeks I think
2/ I used to have between 1 and 7 per week
3-4/ Yes, been on a dry spell for one year now (after 1 year of LD); [not completely dry, but it dropped to 1LD/month max] due to decline in motivation, more work and less sleep. Currently going back to the basics (dream recall, journal, revisiting this site...)

5/ Not much. LDs are too short to do anything, usually take place in deserted cities. I should focus on stabilizing, but I tend to simply explore and look for people.

6/ Random DILD with no reason or through FA + RC, or morning DEILD/WILD.
      Dec. 2006 - July 2007:
      92 DILDs + 30 WILDs ; 75% too short, 24% decent, ~3 of 2 to 5 minutes
      (I stopped counting after that)

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
I had one before I learned about it. Thats what made me read up on it.

      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?

1 per month w/o trying. 2-3 per week if I try and a motivated about it.

      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
Yea. But I lost my interest. Life is so good right now!

      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
6 months. I'm gonna try ot get back into it. Man..you can do some crazy things!!!

      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?

      Flying, Women, being powerful/strong.

      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
Dream Journal, but it of course requires the most effort.
Besides that, reality checks (just so you think about dreaming often enough.) AND supplements really work good too.

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream? Induced? 8 years only, really short time, right?.
      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week? Silly rooster messing it up... 10-20?
      3. Are you currently in a dry spell? No, unless you count the rooster or baby <.<
      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for? "refers to question 3" Bought him 2 weeks ago, baby 3 months already ;.;
      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD? I generally dream of FA with me doing normal stuff, lucid is exploring and fighting and studying <.<
      6. What is the most effective LD method for you? DILD of course, the only thing I could do at the time.

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
I learned about lucid dreams when I was ten (though I had some before), so since ten I was "attempting" lucid dreams, but only since last year did I really try... but I think it only took me one, maybe two weeks, to have my first both times.
      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
I used to have two or three a week, but since summer that frequency has decreased so that I'm lucky if I get two a month.
      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
Yes (as in, less than one lucid dream per week).
      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
About... damn, five months. I got lazy, and so I recalled less dreams, which hurt my confidence, which led to less lucid dreams, and so on, until I couldn't even record dreams. I'm feeling motivated now, so I should pull out soon.
      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
Flying. I always fly. It has always been an obsession of mine, and I actually remember when I was young (eight to ten), I invented ways to fly including rocket boots and "bobbing" my way up.
      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
DILD I'd say. My WILDs often led to my eyes being stuck closed, and blurry dreams.
My Dream Journal All comments are welcome!
      (Total lucid dreams: 57)
      2009 DILDs: 3
      2009 WILDs: 0

      1. I joined back in march 08, attempted mid afternoon WILDing a few times with no success, and drifted away from the community because of other things. Now I'm back, tried WBTB grab induced lucid dreaming failed the 1st night, tried WBTB FILD + WILD and succeeded 2nd night.

      2. Had 1 lucid in 2 days trying

      3. Smoking was my dry spell, never again

      5. Still in the beginning stages of learning how the dream world works, so I do just that

      6. WBTB(waking up in the middle of the night after having a dream), immediately attempting FILD, if that fails focus all intent on relaxation and WILD/SP my way in.

An old Indian told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, truth, compassion and faith." The grandson asked him: "Which wolf wins?" He simply replied, "The one you feed."

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
NA, my first lucid was natural
      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
Around 2 or more (not many more )
      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
No, I just got over one though.
      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
It was a little over a month long
      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
Depends on the environment, DCs, if I'm planning to do the task, or if I am working on a dreamgoal. Usually fly, control weather/elements
      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
Reality checking during the day for DILDs

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?

I had a few close calls during the first two months of my training, but it wasn't until this afternoon that I actually achieved a true lucid dream. So, that makes it almost exactly five months for me. I work as a programmer so it's difficult for me to break away from my thoughts during the day to consider what is real and such, otherwise I would suspect I'd have had a LD a bit sooner.

      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?

I don't have enough under my belt to establish a pattern of occurrence.

      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?

I was, but I rebounded within a week to attain my first LD ever. I'd say I'm out of it now

      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?

About two weeks. Dream recall went from 1-2 dreams a night to zero. 'Twas frustrating.

      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?

I have crazy nonsensical dreams, that are highly entertaining and a lot of fun. As far as LDs go, I can't say much yet. I realized I was dreaming, did a few simple experiments, and then it was over in a few minutes.

      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?

Thus far DILD has been the only thing that has worked, but I achieved it in a mid-day nap, so I consider that information relevant.

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
The very night, in fact. I had a decent semi-lucid dream.

      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
      >1

      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
      Yup

      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
Since the week before Christmas. I went to Florida for like a month, and essentially forgot about LDing...

      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
      Haven't had enough to answer...

      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
I'd have to say WBTB. I did it on accident once. Got up to pee and went back to bed and had my first "good" LD.
      LD's: 7 [WILD: 1 DILD: 6 DEILD: 1]
      LD Goals:
      Have a Pokemon battle
Meet a couple of historic figures

      1. How long was it after you started attempting did you have your first lucid dream?
      About a week.

      2. How many lucid dreams do you have per week?
2 on average, mostly at weekends.

      3. Are you currently in a dry spell?
      No.

      4. If yes, how long has your dry spell been going on for?
      -
      5. What do you most often dream about/do in your LD?
Fly quite a low. Nowadays I often try to find or see something interesting.
What I call "special effect" dreams, rather than kitchen sink drudgery.

      6. What is the most effective LD method for you?
MILD is a very powerful technique. When I concentrate enough and put the required effort into it, it never seems to fail.
      Lucid Dreams:-
      MILD/DILD: 79
      WILD: 13
      DEILD:13
      (TOTAL: 108 )

      1. I always had Lucids, but since I actively started attempting it took a little over one week.

      2. Can't really answer that as I just started actively pursuing them. So far its been 2 days, and I've had 2 LDs.

      3. Not really, more of a wet spell if you ask me.

      4. -

      5. Before I pursued them, it was mostly just as soon as I went Lucid I would summon people to have sex with me. So far in the two dreams, I have flown, levitated, gone through walls, and jumped out of the sky and started freefalling. Which was amazing by the way.

      6. So far I have had one WILD. Both LDs started in the same fashion though. Woken before my alarm goes off by some outside noise. In a half sleep state I start thinking about LD's.
In the non-WILD, I was awoken early, and went into a dream that I was still in the bed in some hotel room, I got up did a reality check (look at my hands), and boom I'm lucid.
