A new experiment I am going to try.

For those of you that believe (such as my self), that Lucid Dreaming is just a form of an out of body experience, I'm going to attempt something new over the next few weeks.

When I lucid dream, it's normally a WILD that occurs after getting up for a few minutes after a full night's rest and going back to bed, normally around 5:00 or 6:00 AM. Lately I've been seeing what I think is my body as I transition into my WILD. (I always start off in the room I fell asleep in and the last two times I did this I saw my self sleeping on the bed.) I don't know how many of you have read Robert Monroe's books, but I'm of the belief (as was he), that with practice you can maintain a level of focus that will allow you to essentially OBE in the "real" world, seeing things that would correspond to what was actually taking place in real waking life.

Now I'm not good enough to travel in this state... yet... because the moment I leave my room I slip into a dream, but it seems as long as I remain within the general vicinity of my body, (my room), I can maintain a certain level of focus in the OBE state. In the last week this has improved significantly.

I have a set of neon, colored markers and a little coffee table in my room. I'm putting all of the markers in a dark drawer and from now on before I go back to sleep to induce my daily WILD's every morning, I'm going to blindly reach in, grab a marker out of the drawer, and stick it on the coffee table without looking at it. From there I'm going to climb back into bed and go about my WILD attempt as usual.

My goal is to maintain a level of focus to the point where I can see the color of the marker on the coffee table after I leave my body... consistently. I believe this can be done, after reading others' experiences and Robert Monroe's books. (Those should be required reading for anyone interested in this forum, I swear.)

Anyone else ever tried anything like this? I'll let you know how it goes, but it might take a while to see any results. We'll find out, soon!

      -K
