      so is this possible?

I was very very high last night as a result of smoking cannabis. It was a fun night
But anyway for one reason or another, I began to think, I really ought to give lucid dreaming another shot. Then I remembered there is a section of this forum were people talk about rather odd things, things that are honestly intimidating to me. Now fellow dreamers I ask, have I come to the right place? I want to use lucid dreaming to achieve a state of psychedelic awareness. I've read things were people meditate inside a lucid dream and transcend their body, visit other universes. Is this possible? Is it real? Is it safe? Dont get me wrong I'd also be into just regular ld'ing but something about getting into a lucid dream and meditating sounds friggen awesome.

If you believe that it can be possible then it is - if you treat your Lucid dreams as a place that is just inside your head - then you will more than likely stay in your own private world - but if you open your mind and go and explore then I believe anything is possible... BUT ... it takes practice and perseverance to get anywhere, and the more open minded you are then the easier it will be.

I like what floatinghead said. That was probably one of the best pieces of advice that you could give to any lucid/beyond/deep dreamer.

But can it be dangerous? I've heard about crazy stuff like inorganic beings which sounds pretty heavy.

well you can't die... so it can't be that dangerous

All sort of crazy shit happens when you sleep and you probably forget most of it, being lucid is just being fully aware of whats happening

100% percent yes. the best way to start is just by observing your surroundings while sitting down the next time you become lucid. set yourself dreamgoals that are more oriented to meditation than to just having fun and eventually you will find whole new realms of fun quitening your mind and just observing while everything is telling you to just go off and fly or have sex has to be a good level of control to aim for, which will also help you remain calm in tough situations in real life. the only danger is getting slightly scared which probably wont happen. even if it does it is still positive because chances are you will just wake up, or even better turn and face your fears and see where they come from

I would advise trying to stop smoking weed it can make your dream recall near to nothing. I quit smoking weed a while back did me a world good (Y) even though i do sort of miss it but i feel better not to smoke it now
im not saying dont smoke it because i know some people love it too much haha, Just freindly advice piece out

Thanks for the advice, but if I ever stop smoking weed it will be for monetary or legal reasons. Besides I can always take a break if I notice my dream recall is shit and focus on ld'ing for a while
