So its not technique but Memory that is the key???

The more I read on this, the more I am starting to believe it...

The "Holy Grail" for all of us has been to find the "just right technique" when in fact most, if not all of us, OBE every night... 99% of the time we just never remember it...

In reading such authors as Robert Bruce, this is what they believe.. That the hard part of OBE is not having them, but remembering them...

Roberts whole Mind/Body Split theory is interesting... I am not sure I am 100% on board with it but in a lot of ways it makes sense and explains why most of the time we dont remember our OBE's..

When it talked about have you ever had vibrations etc and then thought you failed and just feel back asleep??? This has happened to me several times.. Where I felt I was on the verge but then failed... Well according to him we did not fail but just failed to remember...

So my question is if memory is the key, why dont we see this stressed more than actual technique???

Does anyone have any good recommendations, besides Robert B., that teach how to remember your OBE's???

      Thanks!

Kuroth, I think part of that is right..the other part is lucidity/awareness/attention

I believe the reason most of us don't remember our dreams is because we don't have enough energy. If humans stayed on a 100% alkaline diet, you'd most likely remember every dream of every night from start to finish not to mention you wouldn't catch so much as a cold, let alone a disease because you would have much more energy.

The food we eat in society is mostly acid and it keeps you in a state of low-energy, I forgot the exact science of it, but something about pH level and acid foods tell your body to decompose, hence diseases and illnesses.

I'd say 90% of the food we eat is acid and keeps the senses dull, the diet is supposed to be 85% alkaline and 25% acid.

Also, most people aren't lucid in waking life, so in turn aren't lucid during dreams. We dream every night, we just don't pay attention to it, or our logical side of the mind is not awake during sleep time. We must constantly PAY ATTENTION and wake up.

If you can't change your diet, there are other ways to increase energy. I was reading something interesting a couple of months ago, but you can gain energy by appreciating food more, not wolfing it down quickly while watching t.v. or on the pc, but to actually sit down at a table and take your time and savor food. Appreciate it. Also, breathing from the diaphragm(stomach) instead of shallow breathing increases energy also. Exercise.

Not to mention meditation, meditation increases attention, concentration, and energy also. You can achieve a 100% lucid WILD by practicing meditation, where you concentrate on an object for extended periods of time. This wakes up your senses. That way when we fall asleep, our attention/logical mind stays on longer than usual and we stay awake during the wake-to-sleep process. The main thing is keeping the mind awake.

I've never fully attempted to have an LD or anything. But the last couple of days before i go to sleep i've been focusing on my pineal gland to hopefully get some insight on these things, or try having an OBE.

Now , the thing is i fall asleep every night and when i wake up i forgot everything. And i don't remember stopping my focus on the pineal gland or drifting away from expecting an OBE.
