Demons In My Room Choking Me

the dream began where i was working in a department store much like Toys r Us. me and my boss were fighting over the control of the music. then, the dream skipped and i was watching from afar as a thief krept into a bedroom of a woman and was talking to me. it said, "how would you feel if someone snuck into your room at night as tou slept and began taking things off you one by one..." and begun removing the womans jewellary and clothes. then, just as they got to the necklace, i realised it was my body they were taking things from and then i suddenly was the woman and the thief turned into a demon and tightened their grip on my gold necklace and started choking me as i put my hands to my neck to protect myself. the demon was now in my room and as i continued to struggle it laid down next to me and its eyes took on a whole new form amd said "... and then you wake up and realise its you but its too late and they start to choke you" and it started shaking me, staring at me with bulging eyes. i started screaming in tne dream out for help and the demon said "no one can hear you scream and get you out of this". but i was screaming in real life and Frank woke me up. but as i woke - all around our bed there was 3 demons. two on franks side and one smaller one next to me. they didnt go away until i turned on the light.

Woah, wait, so if I understood this right, when you actually woke up, there were demons next to your bedside? Are you sure it wasn't a false awakening you were experiencing? False Awakenings are dreams where you dream that you wake up, but really its just another dream. This is probably what happened. Are you positive that you were really awake?

thats scary shit. sorry you had that dream.

i hate nightmares, i can never become lucid in them through intense fear, if you can become lucid, you stand a better chance of slaying them.
that being said, if anything is stressing you out, or depressing you as late, or feel ill, it could account for the nightmare.
and if like oneupboy71 says, you had a false awakening, then that would explain the fact that they were still visible in the room.
I was once sure that there were demons in my bedroom once, squeezing their way through the wall, i was sat on the end of my bed, convinced i was awake, when in truth, i was having a false awakening.
don't worry yourself about it, just work at lucidity

Like two months ago I had a similar nightmare like yours so I know how you feel. But don't worry, try to think positive and forget about the dream. If you end up having a bad dream about it you can find a way to defeat your fears. That is exactly what I did. Also, remember that they can't hurt you cause it was just dream characters. (Assuming you don't do any ghost/Demon/Magic related stuff) Im going to write my dream so you see how it went down.

      Day 1 Of Nightmare

I was in sleep paralysis and a invisible character wanted to get inside me. I thought it was a friendly dream character so I just let it go inside me.(I wasn't lucid) But when it entered me I appeared in my living room and the window showed a view of a really vivid garbage dump and a old house and newspapers and books. The dream character began narrating the scenery. Talking about a little girl's story. I got really scared as I saw the scene getting closer to a bag I thought had a dead body. I started screaming for God to help me but I appeared in Sleep paralysis. To my side was a girl spirit and a doctor spirit. The bed was small like a child's bed and there was balloons to the side. The girl spirit told me a little girl felt stomach pain one day right where my hand was. She took my hand and put it on my stomach. I felt bandages and a bumpy feeling there. She said the doctor and mother tried to help her when she said she wasn't feeling well but the little girl died. I got so scared I screamed and woke myself up. I'm guessing I had that dream cause my two cousins said their stomach was upset and they went to get it checked out. I was also thinking about the little girl who died a long time ago because she went into the pool after eating a lot and got a terrible indigestion. Whatever it was that nightmare scared me a lot.

      Day 2

I fell asleep with some light near my room and recall being in SP. I got out of it and was going to go out the front door and a little scary girl with two other dcs appeared. She said she was back but I started praying so I could be brave and face my fears. I think I punched her and I appeared in SP again. I got up and was ready to confront my fear again. I went out but when I got out I saw she had exploded and was just liquid on the ground. I was so happy I jumped and was going to start flying but I appeared in SP again. By than I was annoyed by it all but woke up feeling happy that my fear was diminished.

      Last Dream About The Nightmare

I was having a cool adventure dream with my sidekick dc. We stumbled upon a castle and olden day looking world. We were trying to blend in but suddenly something invisible bumped into me and my dc friend pointed it out. I than heard a loud stomping noise and decided to try waking myself up. But I appeared in SP. I prayed a little so I could be brave and grabbed the thing trying to scratch me. I twisted it up as it screamed and it disappeared. After that I woke up and haven't had it come in my dream since.
If I overcame it I'm sure you can too.

One more thing, I don't believe in ghosts so the spirit thing only scared me cause I thought it was a real demon thing but it was just scary dream characters. I doubt it was real cause if you have strong faith and a good relationship with God Demons shouldn't be able to go in your dreams or possess you.

People often don't tell others that this can happen. Withing a minute or so of waking up, your mind is in a half awake half asleep mode. If you look around your room, the autofill function of your brain can create scary images from this, so it may not look like a demon, but because of the dream and the state, your mind shows you a demon.

I had a similar experience when I was about 8, I woke up and my teddy bear got off the floor, he had angry eye brows and got up and hit me in the arm and went back to where he laid. I put the bear in the closet and went back to sleep. When I woke up the bear was in the closet. So what I originally thought might be a dream scared me even more because now I shoved him in the closet for a night and ticked him off. lol. I didn't find it as funny back then. freaking scary.

Look up sleep paralysis or rem atonia, these both explain what happened to you. Sleep paralysis more accurately describes a disorder in which you have this happen to you many times throughout your life--it is normal for you to experience it a few times in your lifetime, but if it happens more than once a month you need to speak to a doctor. Rem atonia is the mind and bodily state in which the disorder of sleep paralysis occurs. It is a regular function of sleep and should not worry you. If it is induced, it is in my opinion fine to be called either, but ever since more information on the subject has come out, people on the website tend to be a little anal in the terminology you use, and so I guess it is more technically correct to use "rem atonia" when speaking about times you have induced the state. In the past, I induced it many times, I'd say a good 15 to 20 times. When I was actively lucid dreaming, I would also occasionally wake up in the state after dreaming, but I liked the experience so it wasn't scary to me. Then again, I've never had a demon or old witch hag sitting on my chest and choking me so I guess it's only natural I did not ever find the experience scary. However, especially when you do not mean to induce it, the "old hag" or demons that prevent you from breathing and pretty much send you in a state of terror and being unable to move your body but move your eyes is very common.

I agree with snoop. You shouldn't worry too much about it.

this really sounds like a false awakening even though the false awakening may have been closely matched to the true awakening. i wouldn't worry much either. you were fine other than scared when you woke up right? demons or a creative subconscious, there was no real harm done after waking up. practice getting some confidence and power over these kinds of situations. take control of your own mind and your own spiritual space.
