If you're genuinely interested, you should read it now. Don't think it's goofy at your age to read in your free time. I know that most 15 year olds would rather text asinine things to their friends like "kewl" or "lol" than read a book, but don't let that stop you. If it was for another reason, sorry about that rant.
And no, I haven't read the book in question, but reading is something that more people should get involved in (myself included).
No, I meant that you know... I'm still living with my parents and I don't have job. My mom doesn't let me use my money and it be complicated getting the book and lets just say... I'm not a spoiled child and I don't get things just by asking, plus my mom doesn't like me lucid dreaming. She thinks its stopping me from being present in my real life. So whenever I start living on my own, have a job and I'm more independant (I don't have to ask anyone if i can go out) I'll get some books. And don't worry about it.

I read a lot too, anyways

Go to a library, or just hang out in Chapters and read it.

Do you think they'd have it in a library? I'll look. And for Chapters, whenever I do, i'll look for one and read it while I'm there.

IBs can't lie so you'd be able to find out. I guess.

What is it like to give out energy. If its not too dangerous, i'd ask them for a bit of knowledge or something for a bit of my energy.

Personally, I probably would not say "Yes" just to be on the safe side, though I usually try to get skeptic side (if this possible). But in this case we should consider that not only Castaneda but a lot of mythological legends tells us about such sort of encounters (fairies which lure mortals to their kingdom, they spend a couple of days there, return back and found a lot of years passed), and in my opinion mythology takes deep roots in dreams. It would not be funny to say yes, spend some time with girl, and then wake up IRL and found that one spent two years in coma! Or what's even more terrific (but even more speculative) that he actually lived all this time but have not memory about this time (i.e. his consciousness was not active).

At the other side, this theme of being given a choice to stay in other reality is rather common in Salvia trips. I remember a message on one forum in which a member described such experience and said "yes". Nothing happened - the trip ended and he was back IRL .

That reminds me of something i read on another forum. I guy said he astral projected and spent 4 years fighting monsters or something in the astral plane.

I don't know if the 4 years was in waking reality, probably was only 4 years in astral and a couple hours or something in RL. Time can be dilated.

I neither say you what you may to do nor encourage you to think or do something I'd do. Ok?. But however yes I'll give you an advice: never allow anybody castrate your mind or censor your knowledge because only into our mind we are really free (that's dreams are so amazing for anybdy)and is the only thing they will never be able to take from us... 15 is a very good age to take own decisions.

Anyhow if you can't buy the book and you want it... download the ebook (yes... the god emule xD) I've some Castaneda's books in ebooks format but in Spanish :SSS but I'm sure you can find it in English

haha When I've read your post I've thought: if it would be possible to establish contact with IBs with another methods like ouija??

Well my dream carry on, I think I should be post it, though I think its nothing significant , but maybe someone wants to read it

Before I say "no" to that girl I remained alone thinking in my decision. Then I decided to ask for advice to the being more wise than I know: Odín (yes is a not conventional man).I looked at the sky of a night loaded with clouds and I called to Odin twice, the sky seemed to tremble and I listened to a noise, Then a militar helicopter appeared, and landed 40 meters (131 fts) from myself. A cowboy went out of inside and threw a rope with a slipknot, the rope crossed the 40 mts (131fts) in straight line. I avoided it and the cowboy gave an order to the rope and she started moving again. I looked at the rope and I gave her an order: "not!" and the rope stopped moving. Then appeared another man from inside the helicopter and he started running towards to myself. Then I began to run, I turned into an eagle (I do this often in my dreams) I beat quickly my wings and moved away flying. Then I woke up.
      ---

thanks for your replies, it's a great forum

Wow, this is amazing, you guys look at reality in a whole different point of view. When I first read that post, i was thinking to myself "pssshh, his mentality is really living it to the maximum... of course its just a simple dream!" It makes logical sense. But as I kept on reading, it really gave me a whole different aspect of reality.

One thing I cannot figure out though, is if he had said yes, whether she had enslaved him or whatever, what would happen to the world we know as reality? Would he stay asleep? Would his spirit like transport into that new realm or something?

This is baffling, I'm hungry for the answer to this, if anyone has an idea or the answer, please reply.

According to the books, they can bring you there physically, body and all. You'd just disappear without a trace.

I wonder if that might account for some of the cases where people just vanish. never to be heard from again.

I don't think your actual body goes in the world the inorganic beings bring you. If yes.... That'd be weird to see someone vanish... Oh! There was story about people who've have randomly bursted into flames and nothing has been damaged except for the body which has completly dissapeared.

Maybe your Dream Guide or a certain DC has the answer to this. Living ing the mind themselves may hold some knowledge.

I think this thread is fascinating, but not correct.

I can't go live inside the internet, tempting though it may be, but I can spend time here and learn things here.

I can't go live inside the telephone system, even now that they have visual as well as audio, tempting as it may be, but I can, if I choose, spend time there.

I can't go live in my dreamspace, which is, really, in part, a Universal Communication System, full time, tempting as it may be, because well, there are a lot of important things and people in my outer reality too, and it's simply not possible, but I can, when I choose, spend time there.

Sadly, some religions seem to base their ideas of the Afterlife on the dream plane, and those are the ones that always leave me scratching my head.

I believe we will always have both inner and outer realities. We don't have to give up one to have the other. Both teach us things, give us knowledge. It's about balance, you know? Everything is...

As for asking my spirit guides, I did, and this is what he agrees with!

One other comment: people can come back after death. It's called reincarnation. Their spirit just comes back as an infant, in a new body. At least, I believe that to be true!

      Hi BAMitsLauraX

The IBs are beings narrated in the books of Castaneda, I don't know if the DCs of my dream are IBs or not, according to the words of Castaneda it's possible and they can give you some extraordinary knowledges in return for a part of your energy. And yes the proposition they did me was take me into the dreamworld forever... maybe it was true or just a simple dream, now I'll never know.

Welcome to LDing and good luck.

What do you mean by energy? Like physical energy in RL?
I think If I ever meet one I will ask them some questions and probably say yes to go into dreamworld just out of curiosity because I'm hard core . Only joking, I would probably wake up
And thank you, I was really lucky, I had 2 LDs in basicly the first 2 weeks of reading about it

Castaneda talks about a necessary energy to get lucidity in dreamworld, every day you've a quantity of energy and this energy can be neither increased nor diminished, however you can organize it to take advantage of it better in your dreams ¿how can you do it? Even I haven't come to this part of the book . This energy is very priced for IBs. But well, all of it is just a theory, you can believe it or not, in any case experiment before believing.

The next time I dream of with them I'll say yes, if I don't post it my experience... xD
PD: you're welcome and congrats for your LDs. An advice: the more conscious you are in real life of your dreams the more conscious you will be in dreamworld of your real life, it's like a channel you're opening.

Its very confusing, i think if I ever meet one I will take my chances and say yes
Make sure you tell us if you leave for a while, then we wont be thinking that you have been took away by the IB's
      What does PD mean?
Your advice: That is good, i like it, thank you

I recently had an LD where I ran around asking all these DC's, "Are you a DC? Are you a DC?" None of them answered me, until a met a beautiful red-haired woman that was staring at me.

I stopped at her, and repeated my question. She smiled and slowly shook her head no. We kissed. She felt like a real person. Some... other stuff happened, and then I woke up.

The first post: damn, that would freak me out. "I'd be like, Hell no, beeyotch!"
