So I visited your moon base last night, but I didn't manage to make any changes to the environment. I have to say, it was one of my most long and fulfilling LDs to date.
The structure of the tower is magnificent. I was completely dumbstruck..
I also find some vibrant purple portals outside, I was completely surprised on how rich the colours were on it. It was amazing

Anyways. I am defiantly going there again! Last night was the first time I successfully teleported and the first time I've landed on the moon (I have tried a few)

      Went something like this:

I was on my front porch. My friend Kevin had been over and his dad was coming to pick him up. When his dad arrived he drove (pretty fast) right up my driveway and out of sight. When I went over to the side of the porch by the driveway I noticed my dad's truck was there, along with his friend's car. I either thought or said (can't remember which) "th['s wierd, how did he drive past the other cars?" Kevin said it wasn't that wierd but I decided I should do an RC anyway. I turned to the side and found that Kevin was outside, walking next to the porch towards my front door. I pinched my nose and I could breathe. Lucid. I flew through the porch wall (it's an enclosed porch) and into my front yard. Then I remembered I wanted to go to the moon and try to find Nomad. At some point, about now I believe it changed from day to night. My first thought was to fly there, probably since I was already flying. I started rising up, but before I got too high The ground started to fade away, and I felt myself waking up

I think it was my alarm clock, I'm not 100% sure though.

Gotta remember to try making a portal next time.
      Awesome, man!!!

Really, wow! Well, I checked your DJ, and I was disappointed to see the dream was not in there. Are you going to update it? I'd love to read it!

Unfortunately I have no time during the day to keep a dream journal. I haven't journalled properly in weeks, which is a shame really. I need to get back into the swing of things.
However, its not like I don't remember my lucid dreams. I always commit all my dream to memory and I go through every dream in my head while I do my daily tasks. I just think I will remember more once I get journalling again

Speaking of shared dreaming, I believe I recently had one with a girl on this forum. A few LDs back I had a LD where I was on a train, and the dream began to fade. So I grabbed onto this girls hand to anchor myself back into the dream (I find that if I touch something and take the time to appreciate it, my dream lasts longer). I then left the train and later woke up.
Well yesterday I was speaking to this girl on DV chat and she was telling me about a LD she had recently, where she was on a train and a random guy grabbed hold of her hand... She then went onto describing what I looked like and the environment. All of it matched! I was completely took by surprise.

Tried again, but was semi-lucid by the time I tried, so the whole portal thing didn't work out too well

      Getting closer...

Please at least journal these two dreams. This is amazing.

Have you ever thought about adopting people and being sort of like a tutor and teaching some control techniques?

      I'd be interested.

Man, I'd love to share a dream. Having a coffee or organic juice with some guys from the DV community in a dream world would be epic. I can't say I am 100% sold, but I find it hard to believe someone would spend a lot of time and effort trying to promote and help others accomplish a shared dream if it was all a lie.

I had this dream last night where I was trying to go to the moon to see if anyone was there (inspired after visiting that chatroom the other day - you showed up brieftly). The door appeared on the ground. I opened it and it was pitch black like space. I was too scared to go into it (I am still trying to get over the fact its a dream) but a bunch of people helped me open the door because it was locked. I talked to them as if they were actual people. They all noticed me and helped me get it open, whereas all the other DCs stood around and did their own thing. I can't confirm if it was actually other people there - but again, as some say, it felt like a presense was there. Whether they were DCs or not, I found the experience amusing. Even if they were DCs, I'd like to meet them again.

If anyone wants to try and meet up I'm all for it (in a dream only). Just no weird places like space.

Just keep telling yourself, "This is a dream," and the fear will fade.

Wow, i've always wondered about the idea of shared dreaming, think it would be pretty amazing to experience one.

I do believe shared dreams are possible, but not with other people here on the forum that I have never met in my life and that live miles away from me. I really want to try having a shared dream with my friend who is also an experienced LDer, that would be awesome.

I do have some issues that concern me. Firstly I can’t say I really believe the whole “time is an illusion” thing and that you can have a shared dream with someone who is awake. I sort of understand what they are saying, but they make it sound as if the dream world is a reality in itself and has its own timeline. I also noted WakingNomad claiming to have regularly dream with some person who was his lover in a past life. I can’t say I believe in that, being an atheist in all. But what I do believe is that our minds have amazing abilities we don’t even know of yet. Its a fact that we don’t use a lot of our brain, so what can the rest of it do? So maybe our minds can connect psychically (bare with me nay-sayers). Maybe shared dreaming is possible, but its been cheapened by crazy claims and assumptions.

My claims are crazy? Look in the mirror man, you're also a nut trying to share dreams with other people.

I understand how you feel. I used to feel the same way too.

Listen, I used to think The Cusp was a total fucking wackjob when I came to this site. But, the thing is he is one of the few true oneironauts on this site. What I mean by that is, explorer of the dream world, not just a lucid dreamer. Not that he or I or anyone else is better, it just means we have a desire to actually explore the dream world, and push limits. Almost every single post he made, I thought, "wow, what a nutjob," but I was somehow fascinated by what he wrote. Since then, I have learned a lot from others, especially people that sound the most insane.

I had viewed someone's dream once, and she freaked out on me.
When I tried to share a dream with Raven, it worked the first time. I was shocked.

Since then, I have became an explorer of the dream world. My experiences in this dimension have totally forced me to change my views of the world, life, and the nature of reality itself. You will experience the same.

The farther you go down the rabbit hole, the more insane you sound. That's just the way it works.

      Loaf,

I agree that you should remain skeptical. It's a very sensible, mature way to be.
Of course, retain your open mind, but demand decent proof before you go accepting wild claims. Just makes sense really.

After all, threads like this one:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=85650

Do, make you realise just the levels of deception people are willing to stoop to, just to make themselves appear special or to try and "prove" their abilities.

And, also, notice, in that particular thread, the believers such as Nomad, just take everything on face value. Yes it's sweet and trusting of them, but also a hell of a way to be taken for a ride... which is exactly what happened.

Personally, I think that thread in itself, should be a wake up call to us all to not believe everything you read.

Even if I did manage to recount a dream similar or identical to a friends, I don't think I could go as far to say I could dream with someone from a past life or escape my body. Just my views for now.

You've got to admit he has balls for doing that, and admire his bravery for putting himself out there.

I do think that Nomad can dream share, but you've got to remember he's still pretty new at it. I'm looking forward to seeing how his views on this develop over the next year or two.

He does. I wouldn't post something like that, because I wouldn't want to get harassed by members via PM.
