Hey Nomad, question; with the books you've read, could you put a small review (even one sentence with a 1-5 * rating or something) and whether or not you'd suggest it as reading material? Thanks!

      Communion by Whitley Streiber

Rating: Freaky Chills. It's about his experience with alien abduction.

      Psychic Warrior by David Morehouse

Rating: Must-effing read. Chronicles his recruitment and training into the US government's remote viewing program.

I have read so many books... I forget their titles and authors!

Here's another: Astral Projection for Beginners by Edain McCoy
I love this book! Highly recommended. It explains it so easily.

Conscious Dreaming by Robert Moss, right? I've read it, and it's very good.

I recommend Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. It's as big as a phone book but it has a lot of really great information and preparation that are, imo, extremely helpful for AP.

      No problem!

I know that Jeff is reading through Bruce's other book, it's supposed to be a 30 day guide to astral projection. So it's more of a workbook, where you actually do certain things every day and (hopefully) have an AP experience a by the end of the 30 days. I haven't read that one, but it sounds like Jeff has been having some successes with the exercises so it might be worth checking out too.

I highly recommend Adventures Beyond The Body by William Buhlman. It's about his discovery of OBEs and his mindshift from skeptical athiest to a very spiritual person. Very inspiring!!

I second the recommendation for Robert Bruce's books.

Also, check out "My Big TOE (theory of everything)" by Thomas Campbell.

Robert Monroe's books are very interesting, also. He has a few, such as "Journeys Out of the Body" Any book by or about the Monroe Institute is worth a read. They were pioneers in OBE research.

Oh yes, I've read the books Chayba mentioned myself and they are absolutely BRILLIANT. Seriously dude you should get these books if you can and read them. Don't know about the geometry one but the others are great especially the Don Juan stuff.

Oh and Astral Voyages is pretty good too as another member recommended.

Ive got an old book, Psychic Voyages i skim through every now and then, as well as the other books in the set. Of course, when they talk about OBEs, sometimes it seems similar to WILDing. The books where published late 80s and early 90s so the accurateness is debatable but they are still interesting. they are more of a compilation of info than a story

Books in the set that i have and plan to read:
      Psychic Powers
      Psychic Voyages
Mind Over Matter (already skimmed through and is the most believable)
      Spirit Summonings
      Visions and prophecy's

Books in set i don't plan to read:
The UFO phenomenon (i don't read because i personally think most UFO stuff is BS for attention)
Mysterious creatures(don't read for the same reason as the UFO one)
Phantom encounters ( too much misinformation on ghosts for me to be able to believe it)

And there are lots of other cool ones i wish i had. here is the list of all the books

That book has my name written all over it! Going to have to find it. Archetypes and sacred geometry? That's like christmas!

Another book is Emmanuel Swedenborg's "Heaven and it's Wonders and Hell", first published in 1758.
      http://www.theisticscience.org/books/hh/hh00toc.html (Available free here)

Just keep in mind the time it was written, and the influence the church had over people's lives. He writes with a heavy religious slant, but if you take that into consideration and think of it as a metaphor for the unknown, filter out the religious crap, there is a lot of good stuff in there.

Swedenborg actually figured out the cause of tooth decay from some Hypnogogic Imagery he had. He saw a decayed tooth that morphed into curdled milk. Pondering that afterwards, he came to the conclusion that since milk curdles because of bacteria, that must be the cause of tooth decay as well.

      I recommend:

Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton

      http://www.brucelipton.com/

It's both a dvd and a book. Bruce Lipton is an actual scientist, and through the scientific process (in other words not through channeling or something new age) he has come to believe it is our thoughts, our beliefs that control/activate DNA.....! Bruce's findings is already changing our understanding of evolution, diseases, and the cures to them.

A recommended in-your-face for your skeptical friends who think they are nothing more but victims to DNA!! Take that!

but if you watch the dvd, ignore the second half which is PsychK. It's crap!

      Hidden Truth, Forbidden Knowledge
      By Steven M. Greer

This is the guy who started the Disclosure Project, and this is one of the most insane books you'll ever read. Even if you refuse to believe a word that comes out of his mouth, that's okay, just sit back and enjoy the insanity.

In this book Greer takes us back to his childhood, his atheist family, his explorations into spirituality, meeting an alien, and becomming one with the universe. Actually, you can read all of that on the website for free

The book goes on to explain how this 'country doctor' gets in contact with all of these top clearance officials. Eventually uncovering a world order, with an evil scheme involving aliens!

The con side of this book is not everyone he mentions in the book agrees with his version of the story. And his CETI project is seriously expensive, which makes you think it's all about MONEY. Rather than spirituality, as suggested in the book............

so if you like your UFO's, or astral projections or astral aliens - read this one with a grain of salt

and how could I almost forget? My most favorite book of all. Sometimes I carry this book with me, it's like a little ball of sunshine

      Creative Visualization
      By Shakti Gawain

If you want to learn Creative Visualization, this is the only book you'll ever need. Forget that crappy ass book the Secret. Shakti is a true flower child. Readers agree, she'll take you back in time with her soothing everything-will-be-all-right attitude

Shakti believes we are co-creating all the damn time, might as well learn to co-create consciously and be happy. While Shakti will make you believe Creative Visualization is 'easy' and 'natural', she also understands that to do so consciously involves carving your head open. (you won't understand until you practice it)

For those of you spiritual seekers who were disgusted by the materialism of the Secret, then you'll love Shakti's book even more. Shakti gives simple meditations, clearing techniques, and affirmations directed at individuals who want to grow in spirituality.

While Shakti believes her book is neutral enough for non-believers, I disagree. A lot of her language would discourage individuals who are less than spiritual. However, her book is friendly enough for christians and buddhists alike.

All three authors have something in common, they were all once either atheists/skeptics/or materialists

But if Ur into meditation, silencing the mind and stuff i'd recommend Osho.

The Conscious Universe - The Scientific Truth of Psychic Phenomena - Dean Radin, PH.D.
This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.
