Question Anyone interested in Shared Dreaming?

Hi, I've been looking at shared dreaming for the past couple of days now, and I've become increasingly interested in trying it out for myself! I'm looking for someone else who's also interested in shared dreaming, and wants’ to try it out for themselves. I've never attempted to share dreams, so all I know is what I've read up on over the past few days. I've kept my DJ ever since I joined DreamViews, and would say I have a good knowledge on the general themes of Lucid Dreaming.

I'm looking for someone who wants to attempt to share dreams with someone; you don't have to have any experience at all. I live in the UK, but with what I've read up on, that doesn't seem to matter - it would only matter with regards to reading posts etc. I guess the only things I'm looking for are; a mature person who has a genuine interest in trying Shared Dreaming out and someone who's going to be active/show commitment/not give up after one attempt!

Anyway, if anyone is slightly interested and wants to talk about anything, please leave a post or PM me. All the best, Jakku.

I am really interested in this, however I have had a huge ass lucid dry spell (despite having such numerous and vivid dreams -.-). You can count on me to not give up after the first few days. I'm totally open to it, but if you want to attempt with someone else that gets lucid more often (or for any other reason) I understand.

Funny enough, I was thinking about posting something like this earlier today, lol.

I spent the last 3 to 4 months trying shared dreaming. On two occasions there was an unexplainable link. But all of my other tests failed. While I don't have enough data to conclude whether or not its possible, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Frankly, shared dreaming experiments are more for the journey and not the destination.

From what I observed, WakingNomad often posts about seeing Raven when Raven can only remember fragments of the dream, or simply not at all. "Poor recall" is becoming an overused excuse.

I suppose I can't argue with that. But I want to try anyways. Like you said, even if it's not for the destination, I'm sure I'll still learn along the way.

I accept your point loaf, some people think it's possible, others think it's a waste of time. I don't know if it's possible or not, and untill I try it and find out first hand I'll keep an open mind. And like ReachingForTheDream said, I'm sure I'll learn stuff, even increase my skills in Ld'ing along the way.

Well of course, thats the only reason I don't regret doing it myself. And WakingNomad, RavenKnight, MoSh, and WarriorTiger are great fun to talk to.

Don't doubt it or you won't be able to do it. I personally know it's really possible because I have shared a dream with my lucidity-talented cousin Gabriel. I remembered only saying Goodbye but we confirmed the same location, setting, location of me, etc.

More than just the same (or near) timezone, I would think you would actually have to know the person and have at least some kind of emotional connection. What would be REALLY cool would be to meet a stranger in a dream and maybe trade E-mail addresses and actually make a connection that way. Would be extremely difficult though. I have a very easy e-mail address and no-one (IRL) has ever remembered it and contacted me when I'd just given it out verbally.

      Anyone that's interested

If anyone is interested in trying Shared Dreaming out, then just send me a PM. Me and ReachingForTheDream have been trying, so I can tell you a bit about what/where we tried to meet etc

We're going to make a post to compare dreams on, so we/you can see the success/failure (you can decide if it's working or not!). We agreed to try to meet on Mt. Fuji, but so far we haven't had any lucid dreams to try to get there .

However, we did have a dream each that was very simlar, in which we were both on a roof in Japan, ReachingForTheDream saw a few ninja's, who were training and in here DJ she wrote how it was like urban ninja - while in my dream I was a ninja character who was jumping along the roof tops in Japan, in which I was looking for someone.

This was only one of the first dreams we had after attempting to meet, so I wouldn't count it as a success, but it's something - luck or a dream meeting?, I don't know. . .

I also wanna note that I've been sick so my attempts to dream have been thwarted... I'm surprised we were able to get any correlation at all in the first night, and almost no effort on my part.

Not bad for a first attempt I'd say, thanks for sharing.

There are loads of examples where both Nomad and I remember the same shared dream, or MoSh and I, or Allison and I, or Nomad and MoSh... etc... and they are listed in the shared dreaming thread. Some of them have matches with three or more dreamers. Accounts of these can be found here: Shared Dreaming Thread

Yeah i can say that so far on the journey, my dreaming recall and abilities have grown in leaps in bouds within the last 6 months. That's way more progress than i have made in my 3 previous years here.

That's awesome! I would definitely call that a hit. You two didn't meet up, but she saw you. Keep working at it, and your dreams will sync up more and more.

Well, I don't think its hard to understand that over the last few weeks my belief in this slipped dramatically. My patience stretched thin.

I'm very interested in it as well. It's kind of like ghosts and other paranormal activity. I'm just not sure, but a part of me really wants to believe it. I often wonder if unfamiliar dream characters I encounter are sometimes real people from other parts of the world dreaming the same dream. It's a ridiculous but fun concept.

I have a wish for shared dreaming but I have lacked the commitment to try and do so this month. Mostly just drifted to to mindless things.

Hopefully I can manage to rebound this time. I might have forgotten my intent to try and dream share but I at least didn't forget about trying to advance my skills at times. But the progress is so damn slow.

I have more will now than I did for these past 2 weeks to try again.

The idea of shared dreaming is interesting, but you need an advanced dreamer to share your dreams. I would love to join, but I guess I still have a long way to do. I am still in the DJ phase.

Do you have to dream at the same time? Then WBTB followed by WILD would be the most accurate way do achieve this.

I don't really know how you're able to fly to the moon. Always when I fly anywhere close to space I accellerate incredibly fast and then wake up. Though, I'm still a beginner.
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.
