I only met my dream guide once, he was a native american. I don't remember a lot of the dream just that it was a deeply spiritual one and when I woke up I felt I had discovered something very important about myself. I think a true dream guide leaves you with a feeling of connection or self-discovery.

Does this sound something like a dream guide?: I'm extremely curious...

Most clear/intense lucid dream I ever had - involved a dream character like no other I've met. Was an old lady with an apron, running a restaurant, who sat across from me and said:

"You can do what ever you want, this is your dream - fly away, turn me into a better looking woman and fuck me. But, there's so much more to see. So why don't you stop acting like a child doing all this trivial stuff, huh? I could show you things beyond yourself, beyond anything you could ever imagine." (her bluntness really caught my attention lol)

So I followed her to the back room, that really did turn into a scene that I felt was beyond me, like I had nothing to do with its conception - consciously or subconsciously. But I woke up from the excitement. This deeply disturbed me, it felt like my dream had been invaded.

Sounds like it. Try to summon her in other dreams.

I always said that Freddy Krueger is my dream guide / guardian. Is possible to have more than one and I would like to find out. It has been ages since I've seen Krueger. He only appeared when I was in a pinch (in a nightmare) he would help me out and slay my enemies for me ending my nightmare. However, he only comes when I need his help, but I never talked with him.

The other day, in a dream, I was in a forest and I heard, "She is Azea" I also saw the name AZEA engraved in my hand. I have a feeling she might be another Guide. My goals are now to summon both Freddy and Azea and talk with them. I've never met Azea before, so I just can focus on her name and call her. Freddy will be way easier to summon, as he helped me out already a lot of times.
Click the door... and welcome to my dream world!

On that note, sometimes when I gain control of a LD there's a little black girl staring at me who is maybe 8 or 9 years old. She's not always there, but is the most commonly reoccurring.

Haha how epic, Old lady apron and a little black girl. I mean compared to Vampires, and Freddy. Definitely going to try a summon now though.

Yeah, it might be your dream guide. Note that you summon the same person, and if you change her, be sure to stick with that one. Otherwise you might just end up summoning random DCs all the time.
Oh yeah. Whatever a DC says, it can not be a dream guide simply by saying something. True, DCs can be very smart, but when you meet your dream guide, you will have some feeling that is really hard to explain. You will just know it's your DC. Don't fall into the old lady trap! Maybe that DC is jealous coz your real DG is Megan Fox!!

I may have found my DG, but I'm not very sure.
Some DC in a dream taught me how to fly, perhaps it was him/her/whatever.
I couldn't really see what is looked like directly.

thats weird, how do you come across a dream guide? do you simply ask for it, or imagine one while your lucid dreaming and it appears?.. i dont think i ever asked the question before, but its just another dream character right? so why is a dream guide more responsive then just a regular dream character? is it because you give that character the ability to respond more intelligently because you want them too?? the only experience i've had with contacting and getting a verbal response from asking a question is when i had a dream in which i asked the question "what is the meaning of life or universal" forgot which word i said but i got a response of a voice thats sounded like a whisper but very clear, sounded neither man or women, and it said something to this description, "your body does not understand virtues/values and your soul does not understand values/virtues, not sure how it was put into context but it said something very similar. Really thats the only time though i've gotten a response, but next time i have a lucid dream i will try to ask the question.

My dream guide fluctuates. It is always male but not always visible. Most times my DC takes on the form of an older teacher or sage. Other times it is simply a presence that interacts with me telepathically. When this is the case I can sense the approximate age. When my DG is visible it very often is a wise old man. I never overtly control my DG either. I just realize he's there/ has been there for some time and we share the dream experience or we talk. Often I do not remember what my DG says, especially if it is a particularly long conversation.

I've only met her once, and failed summoning her twice. In an LD I ran around screaming at all my DCs to show me my dc. This one person with bright yellow hair who looked around 20 years old smiled and said, "Well... you have a few." I got really excited and asked her if she was one of them, and she said yes. Right away I had that 'oh, I just KNEW it was here' feeling. I found out her name was Yellow (like her hair, hehe) and I asked her a couple questions about myself to her. After that I was only partly lucid and she hung out with me and my dc friends.

Cool. Next time, ask HER about herself. Good luck!

Well... I've met DCs ... but since I've never been lucid I've never known if they were actually a dream guide or not..

But... I will say that I have seen two distinct spirits while meditating or just felt out of nowhere... When I was younger, I always remembered seeing a very very tall man, with a soothing face, but always wearing light clothing(I thought at the time that this was God... but since I got older, my ideas shifted)... and recently I have been 'seeing' a woman, young, playful aura, with long orangy-blonde hair. So... I guess thats all I really have to post on the subject.

I consider my Dream Guides to be the reoccurring antagonists that I face while dreaming. You can learn a lot from your enemies.

Also, apparently I'm playing DG to one of my DCs. It would be hilarious if the guy turned out to be an actual dreamer.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

My DG isn't very keen on meeting me. I once spent a whole 1 hour long dream looking for him/her.

I think my DG is just a voice which sometimes explains to me why i dream certain things. Otherwise i have met several beings and animals who gave me some important lessons about life and nature itself. But i do not think they were my DGs.

I met a DC once that acted like a dream guide, but I wasn't sure whether they were or not. I still don't know who/what mine is.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I haven't had a formal meeting and gotten about to chat or ask names or anything. But I reckon she is around there and I have spotted her time to time but not really realizing who she really was.
I often have this voice to come from somewhere to answer questions or ask me what I'm doing if it's no good. I think it's her but these times she is staying out from view or for others reasons that makes me unable to see her.
I need to figure it out and also to meet her sincerely to have a short chat to confirm these things.
