I've never thought of turning into smoke when I can't do something I want to in a lucid dream. I'll have to try it soon.

As far as I know, it was involuntary. I have noticed gravity 'start' a few times after flying around and going to land. I think being a gas allows you to keep eye contact on where you want to go.

At my new job location, they have a desperate looking fish tank. It contains: 1 Fish, 1 Turtle, and to my surprise, 1 small black Eel.

I could post a few pictures of the area that match up with this dream. Most of the structures, including the dirt hill where I became lucid, were dreamed up. The street layout, view, the "safe apartment" in the distance all match up fairly well.

Of course, I've driven through this area for lunch many times over the years. Until seeing the old phone with the fat megapixel writing on it, I hadn't made a real world connection to this dream. I'm very unlikely to dwell in this area, let alone find a job there.

I suddenly remembered a similar "near hit" future job location: A Day at my Old Job

Very cool MrDreamsX. I love making a real-world connection with my dreams like this. This was a cool dream to re-read as well. It must have been freaking intense to dream in first person.

I may try to forget I'm lucid and let the dream take over a little some time, but I hate to let a good lucid go.

UPDATE: I now work at a location less than 500-ft away from the dirt hill I climbed to escape the smoke and water. Today at work... I saw an older cell phone that had a big 3.2 megapixels on it. I froze in my tracks.. I felt nervousness in a flashback like way. Very, eerie.

Sorry about the poor recall.

It's worth noting that the "score of dreams" I remembered are fragments and visual/emotional impressions. I'm certain most are dreams I did recall at the time. I didn't spend a huge amount of time in that house until I was about 8-years old. Many of the fragments are apparently from that period.

I never had eels in my fish tanks, and I don't think I would try to care for such an exotic pet. Apparently my dream had introduced them to shock me. I saw an eel while snorkeling in Hawaii IWL, it was yellow, and I was not alarmed. --My companion immediately left the water.

I know why you were so determined...I think. If you know it's a dream, it is kind of an insult to not be able to do something, so you try again to show yourself you can do it.

Fantastic that you remembered this much DC speech. That is one of the most important things in dreaming to me.

A beige cloud formed around the desk, then quickly dissolved. Two delicious plates of food were left placed. (See: Stealing Mexican Food.) We both dove in without thinking twice. I noticed that there was something pulsing at the bottom of my plate. Thinking back, it seemed the only thing to make food from was... maggots. With a sinking feeling, I looked at my GF's plate. She only had a few crumbs left.

This is good enough to be in a movie.

LOL! I have lucids with nothing at all in them--vacuums, or with virtually nothing in them. My lucid powers are limited, so I have a hard time conjuring things to populate my dream. Sux.

Mr. Sandman mentioned he recalled several dreams a night and that night I recalled two dreams. Thank you auto-hypnotic suggestion!
