    1. I Love (Killing) the (un)Dead

      by , 08-06-2010 at 12:44 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      I love my dreams. ^^

1- Venting (aka: Annoying Younger Brother)
Steven has made me angry before, but never like this. And he actually has the nerve to attack me after what he did? I snap, kicking him in the groin repeatedly and then stomping on his face when he collapses to the floor. Blood everywhere, running out of his eyes, nose, mouth... Maybe I went a little overboard. ((Haha, and we were getting along so well yesterday. IRL he'd be able to beat me up.))

      2- I Love the Dead
The dream starts with a game of Star Wars Battlefront. "We've gotta get a move on," I say to my brother, nudging the body of a recently killed Storm Trooper with my toe. "We've only killed three of their men so far, and there're eight hundred left! If we don't hurry, we're going to lose for sure!"

But as soon as we walk outside--- plot change! Now we're fighting zombies instead of the Empire. I prefer to use my sword, but Steven insists that my gun is the best choice. Whatever, he'd know best when it comes to things like this. We shoot down a ton of zombies as we make our way to a large building at the end of the road. Some of the zombies are actually quite conversational... But any zombie is better off dead.

Once inside the building, we are immediately surrounded by more mindless undead. Easy kills. It's the three "sane" ones we have to look out for. There's a young girl, fifteen at the most, and a couple of lovebirds. To my disgust, the girl vomits everywhere. "Nasty little thing," I mutter, putting a bullet through her head... At least, that's what I attempted to do. But the bullet turns to water as soon as it makes contact. What the...?

"The scent of my puke acts as a shield against bullets," she giggles.

"Oooh, can we get some of that shield?" her blond companion asks.

"Of course!" she breathes all over the tall blond zombie and her lover.

"That's just gross!" I say, drawing my sword and hacking at the teenage zombie. Damn, that shield is pretty tough. My sword, which should have beheaded the girl in a single blow, has embedded only about halfway through her neck.

      "Hehe, that tickles!"

I end up only chopping one of her arms off before we're forced to run.

      *time lapse*

Steven and I split up; I am now traveling with my friend Brigitte. We are having a conversation with a guy who would be gorgeous... if only he weren't a zombie. I end up fighting him, but it is only half-heartedly and mainly out of habit. About halfway through the fight we just sort of get tired of it and wander off.

A little bit later, that same zombie comes and rescues us from a bit of trouble with that loony zombie girl from earlier. Brigitte has an obvious fondness for the guy, and they suddenly start kissing.

Ugh, I don't know which is worse. Zombie puke, or kissing a zombie. Either way, I can't stop myself from singing some Alice Cooper:

      I love the dead
      Before they're cold
      Their blueing flesh
      For me to hold...

The two get annoyed with me and break it up. Brigitte and I leave.

We find a zombie "safe spot."

"Zombies don't like rows and rows of trees," Brigitte tells me. "We should be safe here."

But we're not, because one tree is missing. (One freaking tree!) In the place of where the tree is supposed to be is a small tv screen, which is allowing me to see what Brigitte's zombie and this dark haired zombie girl were discussing earlier. A rebellion?

The two of them walk up just as I am watching this, but
I don't remember anything after that.
    2. Some Fun

      by , 06-25-2010 at 01:10 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      6/25/10

Yay! I got a stripe on my belt! Anyway, for my dreams:

1- In Which Hazel Does Not Act Her Age
My brother comes into my room with this old (fake) sword that he used to have. He begins knocking things off my shelf and just being a pest in general. When he doesn't stop like I tell him to, I throw a temper tantrum like a five year old. O.o After it is over, I wonder why I am acting like this... Oh, it must be a dream. I reverse time and handle the situation more maturely.

      2- A Family Outing
I go out to a really strange restaurant with my family. I don't trust these people, something isn't right... As predicted, the owners are up to no good. They are locking people in cages out back. Well, they certainly aren't going to get ME. The only problem is, they have some kind of strange machine that makes them not feel pain. "We'll take care of it," my parents assure me as they allow themselves to be locked up in the cage. "You act as the decoy."

No problem. I take off, and the crazies are quick to give chase. Hm, if I could just run a bit faster... But no, they're still catching up to me. Time to fight. I fight like an expert, but it doesn't matter. They can't feel pain and I can. Just as I am beginning to think I will lose, the one standing in front of me suddenly crumples to the ground, crying out. "Ah, shit, they broke the machine!"

I grin in triumph as my parents and my brother arrive on the scene. "Took you long enough!"

    3. My Misadventures in the City of Bedlam

      by , 06-21-2010 at 12:08 AM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1- A Chase
I leave the school after a rather rough day. Oh great, our bus isn't even here. Perfect... I am waiting with my brother, when I realize I must be dreaming. Everything is suddenly underwater... "We don't need a bus, we can swim home," I say.

Once home, I take Steven into an incredibly dark forest. This would be a good time to see if I can overcome my "darkeness=lack of control syndrome," but Steven gets scared and starts attacking me, forcing me to take him back to the house. He continues to chase me, as an evil demon voice resounds from all around us. I'm not really paying attention to what the voice is saying, because I am enjoying my run.

I fly up onto the house and find some really cool coins. I start to pick them up, then remember, "Oh yeah, it's not like I can keep them." Plus, Steven is still attacking me. This is getting annoying.

He throws some large blocks of wood at my head, but I slow them down using telekinesis and easily catch them. I don't bother attacking him; I have some stuff I need to do... Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be looking for Samael. I prepare to fly away, but my brother grabs ahold of my foot and nearly breaks my toe off. "That doesn't hurt," I tell him, rolling my eyes. "It's a dream, you idiot." It does hurt, though, and I wonder if I kicked the wall or something IRL.

My brother disappears, and I turn to go find Samael. I am just about to try a summoning spell, when the dream deteriorates and I wake up.

2- City of Bedlam, pt I
In the early 1700's, my dad and I own a small shop off the coast of Charleston. We sell all our wares, and must make the long and perilous journey across the Atlantic to stock up on supplies. We are poor; so all we have is a small rowboat. It will have to do. "Getting there is the easy part," I tell my dad. "But we still have pirates to worry about. At this statement, I notice two things. 1) Another rowboat ahead of us, and 2) a pirate ship (namely, the Black Pearl) sailing our way. The girl in the rowboat near us is a young Elizabeth Swan. To rescue us from the pirates, she flings salt water in my dad's eyes and makes us crash on some island.

We are greeted there by the island's inhabitants. They allow us to stay, provided we follow their rules. (And they have many, many rules.) They show us a specific room of the castle that we are not allowed to enter, because it holds some of their most treacherous secrets.

I walk around, getting to know everybody.

Before we know it, we have been staying in the city for weeks. It becomes my duty to vacuum the castle... with a very small hand vac. First I must pour some white cleaning liquid all over the floor, then vacuum it up. I am still working at this when
      I wake up.

3- City of Bedlam, pt II
Back in the city, I notice that I have done a very poor job of painting my nails. I have nail polish all over my fingers, and I even missed two of my nails altogether. I decide I'd better redo them... But I can't remember where I put my fingernail polish. It must be in one of the bathrooms, but there are just so many!

I begin my search. After a while, I accidentally enter a really dark, creepy room that with holds a talking shrunken head. Realizing that this is the room I am not permitted to enter, I shriek and run out. "What are you doing?" a girl asks me as I nearly run into her. I recognize her as one of the shop keepers on the shore of this island.

"Oh, I'm just looking for my fingernail polish," I say hurriedly and keep looking.

Outside, I notice a tree that seems to be a Christmas ornament... but it's June. Taking a closer look, I am shocked to see a fairy staring back at me. "Uh... do you know where my fingernail polish is?" I ask dumbly. She says something in sign language. "I don't understand that," I say. Suddenly more and more fairies appear in the tree. I begin to worry that they will cause trouble. "We have a problem," I tell the man who walks up behind the small tree.

"What's that?" The fairies abruptly disappear, and he never notices.

I was going to point them out, but I quickly change my mind. "Um, I can't find my fingernail polish," I say instead.

      4- Fire Ants, pt I
I "wake up" with fire ants in my bed, biting me. I hurriedly leave the room and tell my aunt about them.

      5- Fire Ants, pt 2
I "wake up" again. WTF? Fire ants are biting me! So that other part was a dream? I go and tell my aunt about the fire ants, then ask her if I had already told her. She says that I did. But... why would I go back to sleep in a bed full of ants?

6- City of Bedlam, pt III
A hurricane is attacking the castle. I am nearly swept away by a flood of water as one of the guards leads me up to the balcony. We are all clutching on to the sturdy bars of the balcony to avoid being blown away. Suddenly, the ocean starts throwing things at us: refrigerators, pieces of wrecked ships, all kinds of stuff! It sends it directly at us!

I am dodging as best I can, while trying to knock the others out of harms way. After what seems like forever, the storm ends.

7- City of Bedlam, pt IV
((I don't know why I kept re-entering this dream. It wasn't that fun, and I was getting rather tired of these weird people.)) I decide I must leave this city. I've had enough of the wackos who live here. They tell me that the only exit is through Pointer Street, so that is where I go. Or at least, that's where I TRY to go. I end up turning onto Clutter Street instead, which is against the law. Apparently Clutter Street is where they throw all the dead bodies when they execute someone, and no one is allowed to go down there. They kill me, but this is only a temporary punishment. In this City, if you make a contribution (such as vacuuming the castle), you will be brought back to life after execution.

This time I make sure to turn on Pointer Street. Unfortunately for me, a man is out shopping with his wife... butt naked. It is illegal to see someone naked unless you are married to them, so again I am killed.

Frustrated, I walk all the way back to Pointer Street, making sure to keep my eyes averted from the naked man. As I am trying to avoid him, I accidentally bump into one of the guards. I immediately apologize, not wanting to be executed again. He just smiles at me and keeps walking. I pass by a man, who comments on how I was sucking up to the guards to avoid punishment.

I am now faced with a problem. The naked guy is blocking my path... How am I supposed to get out of here without looking at him? An idea comes to me: I take out my sleeping mask and use it as a blindfold, feeling my way along until I make it out of the city.

    4. Samael, Serenity, and Loaf

      by , 06-19-2010 at 12:04 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
It's only a bit after 6:30 as I begin typing this, so I suppose I should still be sleeping. I'm just way to amused at the dreams I had to get back to sleep, though.

      1- A Final Deed
Samael and I are roommates at some apartment. I am not myself; I am an ex-vigilante woman who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer. Samael asks me why I don't help people anymore, and I say that I have lost faith in the world.

There is a new girl who has moved in next door, and something about her interests me. I suggest to her that she should speak with Samael. The next night, I am sitting on a bench outside our apartment when the new girl and Samael arrive together from a date they just had. I am delighted to see how well they are getting along; they're practically soulmates! I'm glad that I got to do one last good deed before I die.

      2- Annoying Class
We are supposed to be taking some test, but nobody is following instructions. I am talking to my friend Samantha, but she keeps switching back and forth between herself and Serenity. "Hey, I was reading your dream journal, and we both dreamed about a lemonade stand last night," I say to her. (Actually, I say tennis court to start with, then correct myself and say lemonade stand.)

"Oh yeah, I read about that."

"Oh, you did! I remember now that you already commented on it."

In the middle of our conversation, the teacher comes over and says I need to be checked out by the dentist. They strap me into a chair, give me laughing gas, and perform rather painful tests on me. After it is over, one of Samantha/Serenity's friends is laughing at me, saying that the gas made me act retarded.

      3- A Slice of Loaf
I tell my brother that I am excited to get home, because my friend Loaf is going to be staying with us for a while. I explain that he just had his tonsils removed, so he probably won't feel much like talking.

I walk into the front door, and Loaf is laying across my couch eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream. He looks like he's about 15 or 16, possibly older, and he has no hair. My mother has been taking care of him. "Hi Loaf, how are you feeling?"

"I'm in pain," he says happily.

"I would imagine so. Did the surgery go well?"

      "It hurt."

"You mean you could feel it while they were operating on you? Didn't they put you to sleep?"

"Yeah, but I could still feel it." He explains that while they were operating, he dreamed of a woman stabbing him in the throat.

My mom begins to as him a lot of questions about lucid dreaming, such as what got him interested to begin with.

Later, I get attacked by some creatures in a cave, and Loaf rescues me.
    5. A Lot of WTF Moments

      by , 06-18-2010 at 01:51 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
All day yesterday I felt sort of drained. Even when I was doing active things, such as Karate, I felt like it was a struggle to keep my eyes open. Not sure what that was all about, but it made recall throughout the night a bit difficult.

      1- Fading to Nothingness
The first part of the dream is indecipherable. Something to do with... karate, maybe. The vague feeling of failure. A convenience store? Or some place with a lot of shelves...

Later, I am lucid, but everything has gone weird. I am watching the dream from above; it looks more like a map than a scene. There is a circle of colored squares; each square represents a dreamer. The big blue square beside me is WakingNomad. He is giving us all instructions of some kind, possibly about shared dreaming. ((If I hadn't had my sun sound mp3 playing in my ears, I wouldn't have even realized that I had woken up a few seconds after this.))

      2- The WTF Ghost Race
In school, but class is a video game. Our eventual goal is to dispel some nasty ghost pirates, but first we have to do a lot of random tasks. There is a map in the top right corner of my vision that has our goal markers on it. First, we are in a hallway that forks off into three other hallways. They all loop back around to the central one. Our goal is to run through these hallways in the right order for quite a good number of times. If we get the order screwed up, we have to start over. Our instructor tells us that the pattern is center, left, right. We run around for ages until we have achieved our first goal.

Next we have to meet up at the pirate king's gravestone. I am no longer paying much attention, because I have a major problem. For some reason, I accidentally brought a pocket knife with me, and I am worried that the teachers will find it and I'll get expelled.

      3- Poor Undead Kitty
We are riding our bikes along the interstate, of all places. I am going faster than some of the cars, which surprises me. Am I really going 60 miles per hour on my bicycle? I abruptly lose balance and topple over, sprawling out face first in the emergency lane. Uninjured, I leap to my feet and move my bike from the middle of the road. Wow, I'm glad that didn't kill me.

My dad and brother have stopped to make sure I am okay. Hey, look! A cat! I walk over to the edge of the woods where a pitiful looking cat is standing, mewing helplessly. I notice that she is missing all her fur... Her skin is pink and purple like the Cheshire cat. "Aww, we can't just leave her here! Let's take her home with us!"

My dad looks at me skeptically. "I'm not taking care of any cat."

"You don't have to! I know Chris can't turn down a stray, so we'll be able to keep it."

My brother picks it up. It now has white, fluffy fur, but I don't notice the difference. We start walking home ((what happened to our bikes?)) when suddenly Steven freaks out. "Uh... we have a problem." Concerned, I go over to him to see what he's talking about. He holds the cat up, showing me it's underside.

Holy crap! The cat has a huge slash going all the way from it's chest to it's belly... AND IT HAS NO ORGANS! It's completely hollow! "How can she still be alive!?"

      4- Hospitality and Time Warps
I am not myself; I am a guy who is aspiring to be a magician. Something terrible happens, and I end up staying with a kind old woman and her husband until I can fix what ever went wrong.

I think I just end up making it worse. I get stuck in some kind of time warp, and now I am apparently a famous hero. People who were supposed to be my companions now have no clue who I am, and they seem to worship me from a distance. A man named Fable, who I had gone to magic school with and who had beaten me numerous times is now a member of some sort of gang. He tells me that he's always admired my strength and wishes that he could become like me.
    6. June 16, 2010

      by , 06-16-2010 at 01:47 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I don't remember waking up AT ALL last night.

      1- Sumo Wrestler
This dream takes place several years into the future. What ever endeavor my brother has set out to do didn't work, and he has returned in hopes of moving back in with my parents. They say that they were planning on someone else moving in, and he'd have to compete with the other guy to see who gets the extra room. "Fair enough, who is he?"

Suddenly this HUGE sumo wrestler comes into the room and sits down at the table. I burst into laughter.

      2- Elephants
I am trying to get up a hill for some sort of quest, but there are predators all around, waiting to eat me. The only way I can get to the top is by traveling underneath a herd of elephants. ((What is it with me and elephants lately??? At least these weren't trying to kill me.))

      3- Mortal Mist Dream Games
I make a post on MM, describing some dream games I came up with. I say that the games were inspired by The Cusp, because of a post he made about something similar.

      4- Serenity
Something vague about Serenity. We were talking about something, but I can't remember what.

The annoying thing is, I remember having that feeling of excited realization that comes with being lucid, but I can't remember having a lucid dream at all! Maybe something during the day will make me remember.

I live in a community where doing magic is the norm. A lot of weird things are happening, though. For one, there are these giant black beetles everywhere, attacking random animals. One of them is attacking a baby crocodile, while another has attached itself to a turtle's foot. The turtle "runs" around frantically, trying to get it off.

Also, someone seems to be out to get me. My heart was stolen and locked away somewhere. After a bit of digging, I find a large, hollowed out book. My heart is there, beating as it normally would. But I read some of the writing on the pages that remain, and learn to my horror that if my heart were removed from this book, I would die.

I rebury it, but the patch of dirt doesn't blend in with the rest of the ground, and I don't want my brother digging it back up out of curiosity. Someone I am with (that looks a lot like Simon Baker) points his wand at the ground and yells, "Summersand!" Nothing happens. He sheepishly explains that it was a very complex spell, and that he isn't powerful enough to cast it.

"Maybe I could try?" I ask. He shrugs, so I point my wand at the spot where my heart is burried and say, "Summersand!" Some "sand" starts to form all over the ground, though it looks more like styrofoam. Some styrofoam palm trees also form. I have to continually guide the stuff to spread out with my mind, though, or else it willl start to wither. Finally I can't hold it anymore and it withers away. But the spot where I'd been digging did look like it blended in slightly better.

"Very impressive," the guy said, nodding and giving me a pat on the shoulder.

A bit later Shelby informs me that school is starting up, and that we need to head over there before we're late. What? But I don't even have my schedule yet. I haven't gotten any supplies...
Duh, I'm dreaming. ((Isn't it odd how all that abnormal stuff was happening, yet I become lucid from something much more mundane?))

I inform Shelby that there's no point in going to school, because it is all a dream. She looks doubtful but doesn't argue. I walk up through my back yard with her, and someone who resembles the lady from The Devil Wears Prada says a lot of hurtful things to Shelby, then stalks off to the front yard. I decide to have a little fun, so I sneak to the edge of the house and try to use a levatating spell to send a golf ball flying into her head. It doesn't work, and after a bit of trying I decide it's not going to.

Later I am telling my brother that it is a dream, and I think it would be cool if this were really him and not another DC so that we could say we had a shared dream.

I am about to take flight, but something happens and I wake up.

      2- Competitive
Someone challenges me and another person to see who can collect the most muskadines. The person I am competing against won't even let me pick any, so I travel to all different locations (I can see myself on a map!) to get them. End the end, though, I only get ten, so I lose miserably.

Eventually someone else sees it too, so I know I am not just imagining things. I somehow find out that it is a type of ghost, and I end up absorbing it's energy into my MP3 player.

Later, I am running with my brother late at night along the side of the road when it starts to rain. We take shelter underneath a bridge. It feels really cool being under there with cars speeding past and rain clouding the air. Suddenly some cops show up and jump out of their cars, about to arrest us. Stevie takes off, but I have the feeling that they think we're squatters, and I want to explain that we're just taking shelter from the rain.

Instead, one of them grabs me and says, "You are under arrest for the murder of ((name I cannot remember))." I am about to protest that I haven't murdered anyone, when
I suddenly realize I'm dreaming. Finally, I think, a dream that's not boring. This should be fun.

The cop drags me to the station house, and as soon as we get there I break free and make a run for it. I am doing flying jump kicks into the cops' heads and punching them fiercely, and although they cannot get a grip on me I am doing no damage to them whatsoever
. ((Can't remember what happened after that, but there was more.))

      2- Little Kiza
I am talking to a little kid who happens to be Kiza from the past. He is already on DV with another account, and I am giving him advice on how to seem like he meets the age requirements. He is a short, red-headed 7-8 year old who is missing his two front teeth. ((Awww!))

      3- Trek to Ohio
I am trying to take a shower, but it is not working out very well. It is way too small, and I can barely move.

Later, we have to go to Ohio for some reason, but we can't take any vehicles. My mom is leading my brother and I along the road, asking me to guess which direction we should go in. I point out one road, and she says it's getting too dark to go that way, because it leads to a bad neighborhood. Instead, she takes us to the railroad tracks and tells us we just have to follow them.

As we walk along the tracks, I say, "What if a train comes?"

"It's too late for trains to travel," she says.

Just as she says this, a train is suddenly headed right towards us, and another is coming from a place where the tracks split. "Well that's ironic." I say, doing my best to side step the danger. This seems like something that would happen in a dream," I remark offhandedly.

We make it past the trains and
      ((I remember nothing afterwards.))
