I have a pretty terrible habit of not recording my dreams. I started this as an attempt to finally get back on track with my dream recall and general interest in LDing. Let's hope it works.
Fell asleep at: 12:00 AM Woke up at: 9:00 AM Dream 109: Yet Another Apocalypse Spectacular A minute in and I'm rocking the boat already. Well, not figuratively of course. It was probably a bad idea, scaling a massive (And rusty) tugboat near the river when I myself don't even know how to swim, but, eh, I'll find a way out. As I shift my body weight from one side of the ship to another I find a box filled with medical supplies. Before I could find out what's in there I have to get out of the massive boat due to the fact that it is leaning 60 degrees towards the rapidly moving river. After hopping down from floor to floor, I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't acquire a medical kit of any sort. But I'm still alive, so that's enough of a miracle for me. "Shenandoah" by Tennessee Ernie Ford starts playing in my head for a bit, as I reflect on what had led up to this point. I had always thought I'd wind up as a plucky scavenger in the post-apocalypse, the kind that involved near total societal ruin. I didn't revel in this atmosphere, nor have I ever asked for it, but it's here now and I'm doing fine. Suddenly during my reverie, my friend JJ drives up to me in a busted up red car. He asks me what I'm doing and I respond with an "Eh, nothing." He offers me a ride to which I don't pass him up on. He drives us towards a largely barren settlement with a few people and kids running about. I'm amazed/suspicious at how well this place was holding up. We park in front of a gas station/grocery store with a few people inside of it. Some of the aisles were picked clean, but I find myself some lawn chairs and take them along with me. JJ tells me that the town was throwing a birthday party for him, and asks me to join in. I accompany him to a sort of mobile home (Bigger than any mobile home I've ever seen) here there are people dancing and talking and such. I begin to get paranoid. "What if this is a set-up? Perhaps some Mexican church bishop had poisoned the party-goers or something (Like in Fear the Walking Dead)?" It's all too much to handle at once. I walk outside and just set up my lawn chair, taking in the bright blue skies. Then the dream ends. Dream 110: Just A Bunch Of Random Nonsense I'm in this coffee-brown room with a guy who looks like one giant marshmallow (In the shape of a human, of course). He asked me and a colleague of mine to help rescue his girlfriend, whom I assume is also a marshmallow. Along the way we end up getting lost and forgot our objective altogether. Then the dream ended.
Day 18: Fell asleep at: 10:30 PM Woke up at: 6:40 AM Dream 14: For Dear Life I remember exiting out of my grandma's neighborhood during the dead of night. My brother and brother-in-law and I are sitting in the backseat of an oversized truck, which my sister is driving. None of us are wearing our seatbelts, nor did I find any around. I'm clinging onto my seat as my sister swerves around town. The seat is straight metal, so even trying to maintain a grip is impossible. We stopped by a water fountain as a red light mercifully saved me from falling off the car. Dream 15: Expected Laziness I'm in an unidentifiable interior setting. It resembles a library, combined with some sort of coffee shop. It seems some people from school are preparing for a race. All of them are getting into position, and I manage to sneak my way past them and into another room. Two people I know are there, N.Rio and Mike. Both of them are sitting on a black couch in front of a window. Looking out the window, there was another white cuboidal building off in the distance. N.Rio and Mike are both on their phones. And since mine was (And still is) broken, I just stared at what they were watching. I remember coming across as awkward and nosy, but beyond that there wasn't much else. Dream 16: Rolling Chairs are Awesome Now it's lunchtime. Talking to some DCs, I bring up the undeniable fact that rolling chairs are the best thing one could ask for. To demonstrate my point, I tell them I can get from place to place without even getting out of my chair. My destination? The other side of the cafeteria. Rolling around at the speed of sound, I race my way past the cluttered cafeteria and to a table where the lunch ladies are sitting, across from where I was at. I hand them my chair, pretending that there's something wrong with it, and I ask them if I can go to the restroom. I guess I thought it was weird that I'd show up there for no reason and head back, so I improvised a reason for doing so when I got there. Day 19: Fell asleep at: 4:00 AM Woke up at: 7:30 AM Dream 17: Dang it... I remember having a really vivid dream today, but my two puppies woke me up so I forgot all about it. They bark when they're hungry, thirsty, angry, happy, jealous, or when they feel anything at all.
Fell asleep at: 12:00 AM Woke up at: 8:30 AM Dream 08: Hello Mr. Pianta Touring Bianco Village from Super Mario Sunshine. It looks like the place has also gotten its fair share of gangsters, since there's a lot of graffiti plastered on the walls. Funnily enough, like the actual game, this 'graffiti' is largely just arrows, telling the player where to go. I'm monologuing to myself about imagery in regards to poetry. I think about how there are only so many ways to describe the color black, but a million ways to describe color. Pretty thoughtful stuff. Dream 09: Almost Breaking Double Digits I'm at school this time, again, though now I'm outside the band hall and talking to my friends. One of my friends is talking about something I can't quite hear, when they call all of the band students in. I'm guessing we have a performance, and so everyone was going inside to grab their uniforms. Then something screwy happens... As I'm climbing up the stairs, I can feel the steps getting higher and higher. I'm using all of the upper body strength I can muster to get up there, making a complete full of myself since I don't really have any upper body strength. That and my pants were falling down. The people are waiting behind me, as if taking pity or looking at me fail to climb these stairs. Eventually I find my way inside. Inside the band hall, people are grabbing their instruments and putting on their uniforms. One of the band directors is talking to a student about the weird, red, plastic thing she has on a stool. He said it looked like a fruit, but I thought it was... Moving on. Across the hall, two girls and one guy, one of the girls' boyfriends, are playing football. Right outside of the uniform room. The girlfriend licks the football for whatever reason, and throws it back at the guy. Inside the uniform room, there's this big, fancy chair. There's also a TV right in front of it. Me and one of my friends are arguing about who gets to sit in it first. I win, of course, and then the dream ended.

Fell asleep at: 2:00 AM Woke up at: 10:00 AM Dream 01: I remember being in a white and sterile environment, much like an empty doctor's office or some high-tech research facility. I think in the dream I was fighting some monster, a theme that hadn't been present since I was, well, 12 years old. I seemed to have god powers in the dream as well, and the fight is heavily one-sided. I feel a sense of deep empowerment and relief as I slice up the enemy Kingdom Hearts II style, and finishing it off by slicing it with light powers. And that is the end of it. Dream 02: I'm in high school again as I spot my old friend, Ace. It's an awkward introduction at first, since I kind of, let's say, burned a few bridges with her that I'm not proud of. A wave of embarrassment runs down my face, stress sweat, blushing, heating up, you get the idea. In the dream she has completely black hair for some reason, and she is wearing a faded dark-grey jacket. She always seems to dye her hair (Even when I knew her way back when) so I didn't really catch on and do a reality check. Anyway, I start talking to her. She's still her usual chipper and weird self, and she kind of doesn't really care that I had burned bridges with her. Though her proportions have changed (AKA her butt was bigger for some reason). I begin to wonder "Why am I still so worked up about it after all these years?" but brush that aside to continue having a conversation with her. We were at the cafeteria, but for some odd reason the lunch ladies and food aren't there. They always seemed to have a habit of setting up after the students got there anyhow. NOTES: 1. The whole theme of fighting god monsters and reuniting with old friends is quite weird all things considered. These are all things that have never happened to me in recent years, due in part to me having wanted to forget about them. Maybe my subconsciousness is trying to tell me something here. 2. This is the 5th dream in a row where I was in some kind of foreign or fantastical environment. Being in my room used to be one of my biggest reality checks and now I'm barely even inside my house in dreams anymore. Perhaps I'm getting slightly more detached from reality? Could be.
Fell asleep at: 2:00 AM Woke up at: 5:00 AM Fell asleep again at: 6:00 AM Woke up AGAIN at: 10:00 AM Old Macdonald Had A Farm I remember I'm on the farm in my backyard. I'm sitting inside the fence that blocks the outside perimeter of the farm, yet in the waking world there's no fence to speak of. I think I remember taunting and messing with some of my friends and acquaintances inside the farm who, again, aren't even farmers and don't correlate to my real world understanding of them. I think I remember talking to a couple of my friends in the farm, but I'm drawing a blank. Then someone I know (Let's call her Carla) comes up to me and...sits on me. Uh huh. She's trying to sit down it seems, but she's really clumsy at doing so. I see up her shirt, and she's oddly chubby compared to real life. I scoot over so that she may sit down, and two more friends (An effeminate male named David and someone else I forgot) sit down with her. I don't bother talking with them, as I was... Well, too "flustered" to have a normal conversation after that. Damn Dirty Apes This dream I don't remember that well. It turns out I own a whole bunch of little monster things and I had to raise them akin to a pet. I hurriedly run around the house looking for something for them to eat, and I eventually find a book that covers just that. I open the book, it's a yellow hardcover book with instructions on how to raise those little cretins. As I read find the 'Creatures' Diet' page. Turns out they eat glitter. In disbelief, I read on, not fully convinced anything can eat glitter. As I do so however, one of the gorilla-like monsters escapes. I cower in fear, scared of the possibility of the ape coming back to, I don't know, kill me or something. I go to one of the windows and find an orangutan just chilling there. Suddenly it gets pulled away by a large black ape, and my panicked state increases ever more. I hide behind a couch by another set of windows. Suddenly the ape escapes the premises, and I read the cookbook again. The ingredients for monster food are as such: Bananas Lemons Flour Water Mix these up and cook em' like a pancake and BAM! Monster food. Probably doesn't taste very good though. SIDE NOTES 1. I had watched a lucid dreaming subliminal video not long before I went to sleep. So that might've had an effect on the vividness of these dreams or their premises in general. 2. This is the first time I've been able to recall a dream in days, so progress i definitely being made.
