I have a pretty terrible habit of not recording my dreams. I started this as an attempt to finally get back on track with my dream recall and general interest in LDing. Let's hope it works.
Seeing as I cannot maintain a self-imposed schedule for more than a couple days at a time, I have decided to move onto a new format. Because adding the number of days I missed to the day counter takes too long and actually requires me to use my brain (Or a calculator). I will post a new 'log' whenever I feel like, just to make things easier on myself. The dream counter will stay the same however. Fell asleep at: 2:00 PM Woke up at: 3:15 PM Dream 121: Magical Mutant Madhouse I'm in a place resembling the interior of the Spencer Mansion from RE1 mixed with a cheap Rio Grande Valley home. The lighting is both yellow and white, presumably coming from different sources. The dream is in the first person, and I believe that I'm actually playing Resident Evil 8, and that I can pause the game, save, and load a previous save whenever I can. I "spawn" in what I believe is the entrance of the house. An L-shaped counter towers over me as I crouch down behind it. A dog is prowling around behind me, and a whole bunch of crazy mutated residents (A la RE7) are wandering around in front of me. I believe that this spawn point is needlessly unfair and try to reload the save numerous times. On one of these attempts I try to sneak around the evil residents when one of them, the mother (Resembling Lady Dimitrescu AKA 'tall vampire lady') spots me. I manage to reload the save before I die. On my final attempt, I decide to just bum rush my way towards a steel door to the rightmost corner of the room. I accidentally tumble into one of the Lady's daughters (None of the family members resemble the characters from the game, by the way), a college age girl with a black t-shirt and long black hair. As she falls forward, I see that she "melts" into a puddle of gray goo as she hits the ground, and I nearly fall face-first into the puddle. I assume that this is her "power." Behind me, another one of the Lady's daughters uses what I assume to be magic to 'hulk up' as she notices my presence. I pick myself up and keep running whilst crouched as she barrels towards me. I manage to open the steel door and shut it behind me, locking it from my side. Before I say anything, I spot three more young women behind me, huddled around a steel desk (In fact, everything in these corridors seems to be made of steel). They seem to be talking amongst each other about the other members of their family. I hurriedly sneak past them, further heading into the unlit steel hallways. I take a left, and as I reach the end of this hallway, a mysterious person grabs and restrains me from behind. They claim that they're going to set the both of us on fire using the two exposed wires in their hand. I struggle and try to turn the sparking wires back on my assailant, while also trying to reload my save (Apparently, in the dream, reloading saves is a manual process, and having both my arms restrained was interfering with the process). My attacker manages to set my jacket sleeve on fire, which I shove into their face, managing to break free of the grab. I turn the wires back on them, and they are now completely wreathed in flame. I barrel through the door leading outside. I immediately throw my jacket off and lock the door behind me, and only then do I notice I'm on the roof of the building. It looks like the roof of a school or office, not a house or a castle. The sky is cloudy and pouring rain. I find myself walking up a spiral staircase leading to another roof while being accompanied by two police officers. I explain to them what happened in the house. I get an overpowering sense of dread, as I'm being reminded of Ethan Winters' interactions with the police during RE7. A while after getting to the roof of yet another building, open another door, and we see that we are inside of a schoolyard. It is here where I see a kid expend purple energy whilst throwing a baseball to another kid. I panic as I think the kid is another one of those psychotic magical mutants, and that he was going to murder the other kid. The other kid catches the ball, though, and continues playing. I ponder this, "Why is this kid not a raging psychopath like the other 'Magic Mutants?' Maybe not ALL of them are evil after all." I then turn to my right and see an already bulky guy in a tight red shirt and white shorts 'hulk up', and charge towards me. Just great. I nonchalantly walk into the gym (using the same door we used to get in the schoolyard, for the record) and see another kid use purple energy to throw baseballs. Then the dream ends. Spencer Mansion Interior: From the PS1 version because, as I said, the mansion in my dream looked incredibly cheap. Schoolyard: I swear the courtyard from my dream looked almost exactly like this, although not quite as JPEG-y.
Day 829: Fell asleep at: 3:00 AM Woke up at: 9:00 AM Dream 119: Tooth-Conscious I'm in my house, possibly a FA, and I go over to the restroom to look at myself in the mirror. I find that my two front teeth are horrendously mangled, crooked and with a wide gap in between. I begin to freak out, wondering how my teeth got this bad. Then I woke up for real. Day 830: Fell asleep at: 3:00 AM Woke up at: 1:00 PM Dream 120: Monster Hunting I'm in a house, a moderately expensive one it looks like, almost certainly not my own. I'm sitting on the couch playing a Monster Hunter game with my family, which is odd, as MH doesn't support split-screen nor is it the kind of game my family would play. My dad, who usually wouldn't play anything more complex than Mario Kart, is complaining how we've only been killing easy monsters. So, in retaliation, I select a mission involving hunting a Tetsucabra and Glavenus at once. It absolutely wipes the floor with the rest of my family, but at this point I'm too involved with my performance to really care. As I'm soloing the Glavenus, I find something...off about it. Every now and then it will let loose a stream of blue Pikmin from its gaping maw, sapping my health away. I'm juggling between slashing it with my Great Sword and guzzling Mega Potions and getting nowhere real fast. Then the dream ended.
Fell asleep at: 3:00 AM Woke up at: 11:00 AM Dream 117: The Non-Zombie Related One In what seems to be a cheap hotel with concrete walls and poor accommodations. It has a window and a minifridge at the very least, so there's that. Not five minutes before I begin settling into my room, a young girl (She looks no older than 15 to me) barges in my room and starts coming onto me. I get massively uncomfortable, thinking someone's going to see me with a minor in a fleabag hotel. Next thing I remember, we're both lying on the bed (Fully clothed, but still). And now I want to give my dream self a SERIOUS talking to. I swear my dream self and myself are two completely separate people. Dream 118: The Zombie One In what seems to be a high school in the middle of a zombie epidemic. I'm sprinting through a series of tight hallways with a shotgun in my hands trying to seek shelter. I spot a female zombie that looks massively decayed, basically just skin and bones now, as she convulses on the floor. Turning a corner, I find a door ajar with what looks to be human survivors in it. I get inside, and lock the door behind me. Now I'm inside what was once a computer lab. Low ceiling, but a wide enough area to stretch your legs in. I start to converse with the survivors, one of which resembling my sister and the other resembling her husband. My brother-in-law has decided to keep watch, guarding the entrance with what looks to be an assault rifle. I go over to another survivor, a teenage girl chewing on a laptop. I don't remember much of the conversation, to be frank. My brother-in-law then announces that he's going to set off an electrical grid that will shock all the zombies in the school to death. After a three second countdown, he does just that, and we make our escape from the school. An epilogue then plays out, explaining that our group of survivors were able to clear our town of zombies and rebuild. And that's about it.
Don't recall anything leading up to Day 650. Day 650: Fell asleep at: 3:00 PM Woke up at: 10:00 AM Dream 116: Fawning Over A Psychotic AI Inside this broken down facility, everything is some shade of brown with the odd red hazard light. Pipes, broken down machinery, with the foundation of the building in severe disrepair. I am talking to an artificial intelligence that was formed from the consciousness of a recently deceased woman. Think Handsome Jack from TFTB, that kinda scenario. I come to the conclusion that she has uploaded herself to the factory's computer systems, as she communicates to me over an intercom. In order to save my skin, I start giving her undue praise. Apparently, when she was alive, she was quite a sadistic ***** that caused trouble to a lot of people. I never quite understood how or why her consciousness turned into an AI postmortem, but that seemed like something that would provoke a reaction from her, so I didn't ask. I then spent the rest of the dream trying to bootlick this AI until I was on its good side. Then the dream ended.

Fell asleep at: 11:00 PM Woke up at: 3:30 AM No dreams to report. Had a nasty headache before going to bed, while also having listened to Silent Hill 1's main theme earlier in the day. I don't know which made it harder to fall asleep.

Fell asleep at: 10:00 PM Woke up at: 3:00 AM Dream 115: Fragment I remember having some semblance of a dream. Hushed voices, blurry pictures, that's all I can remember. My dogs woke me up when they saw a police car with floodlights in my neighborhood. That same car enforces the 10:00 PM to 6:00 Am curfew in my town.
Fell asleep at: 5:00 AM Woke up at: 2:00 PM Dream 114: A Totally Unassuming Cult I seem to be a spectator to the dream. I am able to feel and move my dream body while the whole of my field of view is dominated by the dream. The dream starts out in medias res; A twenty-year- old or so girl is seeking admission into a vaguely Christian cult, and is being interviewed by two recruiters, one an old man, and one around her age. At some point, she catches onto the fact that the people running the operation are a bunch of nutjobs and that their adherents are similarly sinister. She starts to back away from the conversation, but as she does so, two kids in a little play area start pointing and yelling at her. They say something along the lines of "Witch!" and "Heretic!" She backs away even further, and bumps up against a waist-high bookshelf. At this point, the recruiters make no compunctions about harming her. I (As the spectator) notice a ceramic globe on top of one of the bookshelves. I yell at the girl, "The atlas! Throw the atlas at them!" I mistakenly called the globe an "atlas!" She then chucks the globe at the old guy and he goes down like a ton of bricks. Now it's just her and the younger man. They stare down each other fiercely, and I am on the edge of my seat. This goes on for a minute, and I got bored. I draw my attention away from the dream for a second, and then... A newspaper clipping shows up, talking about how this same girl somehow joined the psycho cult anyway. I am flabbergasted, and I yell at the dream some more.

Good lord, HOW did I not go without posting for upwards of two years? Well, stuff happened, is all I'm going to say. So let's get into this. Fell asleep at: 3:00 AM Woke up: 12:15 PM Dream 113: Old Faces Daytime; My house. The in-laws have come over, and they brought their dogs with them. A dachshund, a terrier mix, and some others I can't remember. One of the dogs, wearing a grey shirt and orange/yellow suspenders walks into my room and jumps on top of me in my bed. I play with the little guy for a while, and one of the in-laws chimes and in says that that's actually the father of all these other dogs. I say something along the lines of, "Well, he can do whoever he wants then--" then retract that statement and I say "That came out wrong." As I'm playing with the dog, a female DC keeps tugging at his shirt collar, for whatever reason. The dog looks mighty uncomfortable when she does that, so I tell her to stop tugging at it. The dream ends not long after. Upon further reflection, the dog in my dream looked remarkably like another dog I had, though that one passed away not two years ago. It was nice to play with the little fella again, even if it was just a dream.

Fell asleep at: 11:30 PM Woke up at: 7:40 AM Dream 111: Hitchhiker's Guide For Getting Whatever You Want Nighttime; Grandma's house. A raging party is going on outside. I'm in the living room, watching Spanish television, thinking to myself "Wow, Latino TV is lewd as hell. There are also a lot of clowns." Then I pull a tablet out of my pocket which resembles the Guide from the Hitchhiker's Guide, though a yellow one and slightly extended. It has three LED lights on the side, red, green, and yellow. It turns out to be a genie in a bottle, so to speak. And as is turns out, the three lights stand for something. Red is for 'Evil', Yellow is 'Neutral', and Green is 'Helpful'. Under the Red section one of the wishes is 'Create a clone and kill it/Create life then kill it'. I decide to use the machine to stop the party outside. Everyone leaves but they leave all their trash on the patio. Then the dream ended. Dream 112: Not Really The Last of Us The dream starts with a zombie covered in some dark green goo--which I presume is the cause of the apocalypse--chasing down a woman in her house. It pins her down on the floor and bites her ear off. I see the lights flickering on and off in the house. Now suddenly in the house, I bolt it and run away as fast as I can from the goopy monstrocity. Then the dream ended.
Fell asleep at: 12:00 AM Woke up at: 9:00 AM Dream 109: Yet Another Apocalypse Spectacular A minute in and I'm rocking the boat already. Well, not figuratively of course. It was probably a bad idea, scaling a massive (And rusty) tugboat near the river when I myself don't even know how to swim, but, eh, I'll find a way out. As I shift my body weight from one side of the ship to another I find a box filled with medical supplies. Before I could find out what's in there I have to get out of the massive boat due to the fact that it is leaning 60 degrees towards the rapidly moving river. After hopping down from floor to floor, I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't acquire a medical kit of any sort. But I'm still alive, so that's enough of a miracle for me. "Shenandoah" by Tennessee Ernie Ford starts playing in my head for a bit, as I reflect on what had led up to this point. I had always thought I'd wind up as a plucky scavenger in the post-apocalypse, the kind that involved near total societal ruin. I didn't revel in this atmosphere, nor have I ever asked for it, but it's here now and I'm doing fine. Suddenly during my reverie, my friend JJ drives up to me in a busted up red car. He asks me what I'm doing and I respond with an "Eh, nothing." He offers me a ride to which I don't pass him up on. He drives us towards a largely barren settlement with a few people and kids running about. I'm amazed/suspicious at how well this place was holding up. We park in front of a gas station/grocery store with a few people inside of it. Some of the aisles were picked clean, but I find myself some lawn chairs and take them along with me. JJ tells me that the town was throwing a birthday party for him, and asks me to join in. I accompany him to a sort of mobile home (Bigger than any mobile home I've ever seen) here there are people dancing and talking and such. I begin to get paranoid. "What if this is a set-up? Perhaps some Mexican church bishop had poisoned the party-goers or something (Like in Fear the Walking Dead)?" It's all too much to handle at once. I walk outside and just set up my lawn chair, taking in the bright blue skies. Then the dream ends. Dream 110: Just A Bunch Of Random Nonsense I'm in this coffee-brown room with a guy who looks like one giant marshmallow (In the shape of a human, of course). He asked me and a colleague of mine to help rescue his girlfriend, whom I assume is also a marshmallow. Along the way we end up getting lost and forgot our objective altogether. Then the dream ended.
Fell asleep at: 2:00 AM Woke up at: 11:58 AM Dream 107: The White Room At my grandma's house, midday. I accidentally walk into an all white room with a weird green light on the ceiling. I ask one of my relatives what the purpose of this room is, and he says it's a mind erasing chamber, used for wiping bad memories. Only downside is, it wipes out your entire history and personality. I ponder about it for a second. All of my fears and anxieties will be gone if I stay here, but isn't it my experiences that make me who I am? Isn't that basically mental suicide? With only little time remaining I bolt it out of the white room and into the living room, only barely escaping the eponymous White Room. Dream 108: Nostalgia I wake up in someone else's bedroom, early hours of the morning. It seems to me that I'm lying next to my girlfriend (Not any real girlfriend just a DC). Her bed is just a mattress on the floor with possibly way more blankets than she needs. The lighting is moody and dark, you can pretty much figure out what happened last night. I lie in bed for a couple minutes, waiting for her to wake up, and try to remember how it got to this point. I have a flashback to the first time I met her. It was at a Wal-Mart, she was walking past a food court and I was just passing her by. She was carrying a hell of a lot of bags and she accidentally dropped her purse. I pick it back up to her and I tell her, "Maybe you should've gotten a cart while you were here, huh? Here, I'll help you with your bags." After that it was just a bunch of conversations on the way to her car, things about family, friends, and other stuff. She told me about the place she works and recommended that I visit her sometime. As you can guess it took quite a while from getting to 'I'll help you with your bags' to being in bed with her. And it seemed like something I was pretty nostalgic about in the dream. As for the girlfriend herself? She was Hispanic, had tan skin, and had black curly hair. She carried herself like a confident and peppy woman, and wasn't afraid to speak what was on her mind. That's about all I can remember.
Fell asleep at: 1:00 AM Woke up at: 12:00 PM Dream 106: I wake up in the bed of what is an exact replica of my parents' bedroom-- nighttime-- when a blonde woman walks up to me and tosses some terms of affection my way. I get confused for a second,"Wait, I don't have a wife. Do I? Wasn't I just?..." I seriously start questioning my reality at this point. I start thinking to myself,"Was everything that happened to me before just a dream? Did I really forget I have a wife? Husband of the year I guess..." I walk around the living room, dazed. It's nighttime so I can't really make out any specifics, but I can tell it was close to Christmas seeing as we set up a tree in the living room. My daughter, a black-haired teenager it looks like, tries talking to me. She is wearing a black tank top with red writing. Then it jump-cuts to my high school years. I'm at a high school alongside some of my friends and a younger version of my DC wife (At that point my DC girlfriend). I take a look around. Orange and silver are the two primary colors, as with my high school, but things looked marginally different. There were gates everywhere (None of which were higher than 4-5 feet by the way) and everyone was packed together like a can of sardines. A really odd design for a school. We have received word about an unknown zombie-like virus that is spreading throughout the country, getting worse and worse as the days go on, but nobody seems to be understanding what's going on. My girlfriend, my friends, and I all decide to skip class and wait near the entrance of the school just in case something decides to kick off. I sit next to my girlfriend with many of the same facial features as before, looking like a young version of Elena Fisher of Uncharted fame. I try putting my hand on her arm, but I notice her pulling her arm away so I leave it at that. Stressful times I suppose. One of my friends decides to have some fun, and is playing a video game on his phone alongside the guy next to him. The volume on their phone is absurdly loud, and I start getting concerned that one of the staff may hear it and separate our group. Nothing of the sort happened though, except I spot a misty, erratic shadow in the distance. All of us know exactly what it is. In an instant we all storm towards the exit, but it's too late. School security must have seen it too, seeing as there is a smorgasbord of them lining the entrances. Kids are hurriedly cramming themselves into buses, and we also decide it's our best course of action. I get pushed towards the back by a flood of 9th graders, but I can still see my friends in the bus. My girlfriend is sitting right in front of me. Somewhere along the way we manage to get off the bus and tour an abandoned neighborhood. The four of us are scavenging for just about everything: food, water, medicine, Band-Aids, clothing, weaponry (Kitchen knives mostly) and whatever else we feel is necessary. The "camera" then pans upwards towards the sky, as if it were the end of the episode or something. I think the main thing that got to me in this dream was the 'reality' of it all. Like, sure, I don't have a wife and a daughter in the real world, but it's the details that got to me. The first genuine crush I had was with a blonde girl, very similar in complexion to the DC wife in the dream. I did end up spending a lot of time with her, so a bond definitely was brewing (At least my perspective). I myself have jet black hair, so having a daughter that has the same color hair I have wouldn't be too far off. And with me owning the house my parents have now? Pretty much all of my siblings have moved out in some form or another, so that just speaks for itself. I gotta say, the thought that all my years of life were completely untrue and waking up into a completely new one kinda broke me on the inside.
Fell asleep at: 5:00 PM Woke up at: 10:00 PM Dream 105: Walmart Circuit Inside a Walmart--daytime. A couple of my friends dare me to roll around (Sitting down) on a skateboard all the way to the exit. I take the dare, of course. Though, for some reason, the skateboard is circular rather than its normal skateboard shape. Exiting the clothing aisle, I preform multiple sharp turns, almost falling out of my skateboard on multiple instances. I pass by several of the other buildings inside of the Walmart (The eye glasses place, McDonalds, etc.) and almost make it to the exit until one of the security guards stops me in my progress.
Fell asleep at: 11:00 PM Woke up at: 5:00 AM Dream 104: Check Please Started off in my grandma's house-- nighttime. Several family members are sitting with me on the porch. I move upwards a bit so that I'm not cramped, but for some reason I spot a goat/dog headed towards me. I move behind my sister as a shield and eventually walk away from the porch. Out on the road, I notice something odd. The moon to my left is bloated and looks especially off, more like an asteroid than our own moon, it's in it's first quarter phase. The moon to my right meanwhile is way off in the distance, and is in its third quarter (Or waxing crescent, whichever). I notice this, but I don't think of it as odd or even think to question my state. I think the moon to the left is some sort of hologram or something and the dream goes on as it would. I eventually go back to my family and have random talks over things I don't remember. We do go to the backyard, though. Where I ask my dad if he finds what we're looking at to be strange. He doesn't and finds a way to focus our conversation on something else.
Fell asleep at: 3:00 AM Woke up at: 7:30 AM Dream 103: Humiliated By My Uncle...Again Inside my house--early hours of the morning or approaching nighttime, can't really tell. My aunt pulls me and several of my family members aside to talk to us about an upcoming trip they have planned for us. As she's telling us this, I zone out and ask her what we're talking about. My uncle points this out and gets everybody in the room to laugh at me. No one else's fault but mine perhaps... I try to hold my anger and embarrassment in, and ultimately just consider walking out of the conversation. Even in my dreams I tend to bottle up my emotions. Several hours pass and I'm in the living room with my yet-to-be brother-in-law watching something on our phones. My brother walks behind me to check out what I'm playing.
