    1. Log 1: 359 Days Later...And onto a new format.

by , 05-16-2021 at 06:22 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
Seeing as I cannot maintain a self-imposed schedule for more than a couple days at a time, I have decided to move onto a new format. Because adding the number of days I missed to the day counter takes too long and actually requires me to use my brain (Or a calculator). I will post a new 'log' whenever I feel like, just to make things easier on myself. The dream counter will stay the same however.

      Fell asleep at: 2:00 PM

      Dream 121: Magical Mutant Madhouse

I'm in a place resembling the interior of the Spencer Mansion from RE1 mixed with a cheap Rio Grande Valley home. The lighting is both yellow and white, presumably coming from different sources. The dream is in the first person, and I believe that I'm actually playing Resident Evil 8, and that I can pause the game, save, and load a previous save whenever I can.

I "spawn" in what I believe is the entrance of the house. An L-shaped counter towers over me as I crouch down behind it. A dog is prowling around behind me, and a whole bunch of crazy mutated residents (A la RE7) are wandering around in front of me. I believe that this spawn point is needlessly unfair and try to reload the save numerous times. On one of these attempts I try to sneak around the evil residents when one of them, the mother (Resembling Lady Dimitrescu AKA 'tall vampire lady') spots me. I manage to reload the save before I die.

On my final attempt, I decide to just bum rush my way towards a steel door to the rightmost corner of the room. I accidentally tumble into one of the Lady's daughters (None of the family members resemble the characters from the game, by the way), a college age girl with a black t-shirt and long black hair. As she falls forward, I see that she "melts" into a puddle of gray goo as she hits the ground, and I nearly fall face-first into the puddle. I assume that this is her "power." Behind me, another one of the Lady's daughters uses what I assume to be magic to 'hulk up' as she notices my presence. I pick myself up and keep running whilst crouched as she barrels towards me. I manage to open the steel door and shut it behind me, locking it from my side.

Before I say anything, I spot three more young women behind me, huddled around a steel desk (In fact, everything in these corridors seems to be made of steel). They seem to be talking amongst each other about the other members of their family. I hurriedly sneak past them, further heading into the unlit steel hallways.

I take a left, and as I reach the end of this hallway, a mysterious person grabs and restrains me from behind. They claim that they're going to set the both of us on fire using the two exposed wires in their hand. I struggle and try to turn the sparking wires back on my assailant, while also trying to reload my save (Apparently, in the dream, reloading saves is a manual process, and having both my arms restrained was interfering with the process).

My attacker manages to set my jacket sleeve on fire, which I shove into their face, managing to break free of the grab. I turn the wires back on them, and they are now completely wreathed in flame. I barrel through the door leading outside. I immediately throw my jacket off and lock the door behind me, and only then do I notice I'm on the roof of the building.

It looks like the roof of a school or office, not a house or a castle. The sky is cloudy and pouring rain. I find myself walking up a spiral staircase leading to another roof while being accompanied by two police officers. I explain to them what happened in the house. I get an overpowering sense of dread, as I'm being reminded of Ethan Winters' interactions with the police during RE7.

A while after getting to the roof of yet another building, open another door, and we see that we are inside of a schoolyard. It is here where I see a kid expend purple energy whilst throwing a baseball to another kid. I panic as I think the kid is another one of those psychotic magical mutants, and that he was going to murder the other kid. The other kid catches the ball, though, and continues playing. I ponder this, "Why is this kid not a raging psychopath like the other 'Magic Mutants?' Maybe not ALL of them are evil after all."

I then turn to my right and see an already bulky guy in a tight red shirt and white shorts 'hulk up', and charge towards me. Just great.

I nonchalantly walk into the gym (using the same door we used to get in the schoolyard, for the record) and see another kid use purple energy to throw baseballs.

      Then the dream ends.

Spencer Mansion Interior: From the PS1 version because, as I said, the mansion in my dream looked incredibly cheap.

Schoolyard: I swear the courtyard from my dream looked almost exactly like this, although not quite as JPEG-y.

    2. Day 823 --> Day 827: Sycophant Supreme

Don't recall anything leading up to Day 650.

      Woke up at: 10:00 AM

Dream 116: Fawning Over A Psychotic AI

Inside this broken down facility, everything is some shade of brown with the odd red hazard light. Pipes, broken down machinery, with the foundation of the building in severe disrepair. I am talking to an artificial intelligence that was formed from the consciousness of a recently deceased woman. Think Handsome Jack from TFTB, that kinda scenario. I come to the conclusion that she has uploaded herself to the factory's computer systems, as she communicates to me over an intercom.

In order to save my skin, I start giving her undue praise. Apparently, when she was alive, she was quite a sadistic ***** that caused trouble to a lot of people. I never quite understood how or why her consciousness turned into an AI postmortem, but that seemed like something that would provoke a reaction from her, so I didn't ask.

I then spent the rest of the dream trying to bootlick this AI until I was on its good side.
      Then the dream ended.

No dreams to report. Had a nasty headache before going to bed, while also having listened to Silent Hill 1's main theme earlier in the day. I don't know which made it harder to fall asleep.

      Dream 115: Fragment

I remember having some semblance of a dream. Hushed voices, blurry pictures, that's all I can remember.
My dogs woke me up when they saw a police car with floodlights in my neighborhood. That same car enforces the 10:00 PM to 6:00 Am curfew in my town.

    5. Day 820: Spectator Mode

Dream 114: A Totally Unassuming Cult

I seem to be a spectator to the dream. I am able to feel and move my dream body while the whole of my field of view is dominated by the dream.

The dream starts out in medias res; A twenty-year- old or so girl is seeking admission into a vaguely Christian cult, and is being interviewed by two recruiters, one an old man, and one around her age. At some point, she catches onto the fact that the people running the operation are a bunch of nutjobs and that their adherents are similarly sinister. She starts to back away from the conversation, but as she does so, two kids in a little play area start pointing and yelling at her. They say something along the lines of "Witch!" and "Heretic!"

She backs away even further, and bumps up against a waist-high bookshelf. At this point, the recruiters make no compunctions about harming her.

I (As the spectator) notice a ceramic globe on top of one of the bookshelves. I yell at the girl, "The atlas! Throw the atlas at them!" I mistakenly called the globe an "atlas!" She then chucks the globe at the old guy and he goes down like a ton of bricks. Now it's just her and the younger man. They stare down each other fiercely, and I am on the edge of my seat.

This goes on for a minute, and I got bored. I draw my attention away from the dream for a second, and then...

A newspaper clipping shows up, talking about how this same girl somehow joined the psycho cult anyway. I am flabbergasted, and I yell at the dream some more.

    6. 643 Days Later...

by , 05-11-2020 at 07:24 PM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
Good lord, HOW did I not go without posting for upwards of two years? Well, stuff happened, is all I'm going to say. So let's get into this.

      Fell asleep at: 3:00 AM

      Woke up: 12:15 PM

      Dream 113: Old Faces

Daytime; My house. The in-laws have come over, and they brought their dogs with them. A dachshund, a terrier mix, and some others I can't remember. One of the dogs, wearing a grey shirt and orange/yellow suspenders walks into my room and jumps on top of me in my bed. I play with the little guy for a while, and one of the in-laws chimes and in says that that's actually the father of all these other dogs.

I say something along the lines of, "Well, he can do whoever he wants then--" then retract that statement and I say "That came out wrong."

As I'm playing with the dog, a female DC keeps tugging at his shirt collar, for whatever reason. The dog looks mighty uncomfortable when she does that, so I tell her to stop tugging at it.
The dream ends not long after.

Upon further reflection, the dog in my dream looked remarkably like another dog I had, though that one passed away not two years ago. It was nice to play with the little fella again, even if it was just a dream.

This makes the bible more interesting to read.-s-l1600.jpg

    7. Day 154: The Most Realistic Not-So Realistic Dream

by , 07-15-2018 at 07:24 PM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
      Fell asleep at: 1:00 AM

      Woke up at: 12:00 PM

      Dream 106:

I wake up in the bed of what is an exact replica of my parents' bedroom-- nighttime-- when a blonde woman walks up to me and tosses some terms of affection my way. I get confused for a second,"Wait, I don't have a wife. Do I? Wasn't I just?..." I seriously start questioning my reality at this point. I start thinking to myself,"Was everything that happened to me before just a dream? Did I really forget I have a wife? Husband of the year I guess..." I walk around the living room, dazed. It's nighttime so I can't really make out any specifics, but I can tell it was close to Christmas seeing as we set up a tree in the living room. My daughter, a black-haired teenager it looks like, tries talking to me. She is wearing a black tank top with red writing.

Then it jump-cuts to my high school years.

I'm at a high school alongside some of my friends and a younger version of my DC wife (At that point my DC girlfriend). I take a look around. Orange and silver are the two primary colors, as with my high school, but things looked marginally different. There were gates everywhere (None of which were higher than 4-5 feet by the way) and everyone was packed together like a can of sardines. A really odd design for a school.

We have received word about an unknown zombie-like virus that is spreading throughout the country, getting worse and worse as the days go on, but nobody seems to be understanding what's going on. My girlfriend, my friends, and I all decide to skip class and wait near the entrance of the school just in case something decides to kick off.

I sit next to my girlfriend with many of the same facial features as before, looking like a young version of Elena Fisher of Uncharted fame. I try putting my hand on her arm, but I notice her pulling her arm away so I leave it at that. Stressful times I suppose.

One of my friends decides to have some fun, and is playing a video game on his phone alongside the guy next to him. The volume on their phone is absurdly loud, and I start getting concerned that one of the staff may hear it and separate our group.

Nothing of the sort happened though, except I spot a misty, erratic shadow in the distance. All of us know exactly what it is. In an instant we all storm towards the exit, but it's too late. School security must have seen it too, seeing as there is a smorgasbord of them lining the entrances. Kids are hurriedly cramming themselves into buses, and we also decide it's our best course of action.

I get pushed towards the back by a flood of 9th graders, but I can still see my friends in the bus. My girlfriend is sitting right in front of me.

Somewhere along the way we manage to get off the bus and tour an abandoned neighborhood. The four of us are scavenging for just about everything: food, water, medicine, Band-Aids, clothing, weaponry (Kitchen knives mostly) and whatever else we feel is necessary. The "camera" then pans upwards towards the sky, as if it were the end of the episode or something.

I think the main thing that got to me in this dream was the 'reality' of it all. Like, sure, I don't have a wife and a daughter in the real world, but it's the details that got to me. The first genuine crush I had was with a blonde girl, very similar in complexion to the DC wife in the dream. I did end up spending a lot of time with her, so a bond definitely was brewing (At least my perspective). I myself have jet black hair, so having a daughter that has the same color hair I have wouldn't be too far off. And with me owning the house my parents have now? Pretty much all of my siblings have moved out in some form or another, so that just speaks for itself.

I gotta say, the thought that all my years of life were completely untrue and waking up into a completely new one kinda broke me on the inside.

    8. Day 74, 75, and 76: Bleh--Again.

by , 04-27-2018 at 03:46 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
No recall on Day 74. I did remember some figments of a dream on Day 75, but having to take the puppies out kinda wiped that clean from my memory. Day 76 is where I finally had and held onto my dreams long enough to record them on my phone.

I also think my awareness practices are becoming stale. I have a feeling I'm not doing them right at all. Then again it could just be that feeling of fatigue associated with ADA, along with the stress of having to write a two page essay (Still not done yet), so that's...good.

      Day 76:

      Fell asleep at: 10:30 PM

      Woke up at: 7:00 AM

A storm rolled in before I went to bed. The streets were flooded, my brother was outside recording the whole thing, and bright flashes of lightning illuminated my bedroom (Along with my Super Mario Galaxy poster, but that's besides the point). It was a bit difficult to fall asleep, thunder and pounding rain kinda got in the way. Funnily enough, recall has drastically improved from my last outing.

      Dream 82: Inferiority Complex

My mom is driving into the church paring lot when she sees what is supposed to be French people in the parking lot. She talks about they have so many interesting things they're doing, almost in an envious tone. As if I were being compared to them, she looked back at us.

I rolled my eyes at her conversation. I don't like it when I'm being compared to another person, especially those who people think are superior to me. It felt like a very real dream.

Dream 83: Top 5 Best Trucks In Zombie Apocalypse Media

A sort of "thinking to myself while making stuff appear" dream. I was thinking about the top five best zombie survival trucks, because of course. In the list were a taco truck, a regular ass pickup truck, among others. I then went over the reasons why trucks were the best option, none of which I agree with now that I'm awake.

Dream 84: Inside Rick's Supposed 'Shelter'

I saw a house in the distance. It had a large tower diagonal from it, which was spewing water. I went inside. In my mind, I thought it was house belonging to a guy named Rick, who apparently built it for the sake of surviving the zombie apocalypse.

Inside it was flooding, an inch of water on the floor. The house was brightly colored, almost like a children's' play area. All around me water was spewing from every angle. I saw a black cage where my two puppies where, I went over to pet them, but I didn't think to get them out. They were sopping wet from the water.

I also saw my dog Apollo not too far away. I pet him and scratched him under his chin, and looked back at the pups.

      Dream 85: Dreamviews Dream

Some vague imagery of me using the Dreamviews site. Nothing much other than that.

    9. Day 53-->Day 61: Further Dry Spell

by , 04-12-2018 at 04:40 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
Nothing much to report on the days leading up to day 61. Exams really did a number on my 'mental stamina', so to speak. I was too mentally drained to even think about my awareness practices. I didn't even remember any fragments along the way.

      Day 61:

      Fell asleep at: 11:30 PM

      Woke up at: 6:40 AM

Dream 65: Who Turned The Ego Off?

I'm walking through a dark, gloomy version of the band hall. The lights were either not on or emitted some putrid shade of green. My friend shows up wearing a tank, look like he's been working out. Immediately I start judging myself, feelings of inadequacy loom over me.

I break away from the conversation, and head towards the restroom. What I instead see is again a dark, twisted version of my surroundings. There's a HUGE row of bathroom stalls, but all but a few of them are unoccupied. I walk into the unoccupied one in the middle, and the dream ends soon after that.

    10. Day 52 and 53: Lazy Daze

by , 04-08-2018 at 05:43 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
Nothing much happened Day 52. For some reason, the Balloon Trip theme comes to my head whenever I think of that day. It could link to some fragment, but I'm not quite sure.

      Day 53:

      Fell asleep at: 12:00 AM

      Woke up at: 9:42 AM

Dream 64: Sadly No N64 References...

I'm exiting from my Art ll class, headed towards and out of the cafeteria, when my friend Ace stops by. Our exchange was...awkward, to say the least. It's been a while since we talked and I just wanted to extend the conversation. No matter what I did, she and I always just acknowledged each other awkwardly throughout.

She brings me to a table of several of her friends. I don't remember what they were talking about for the most part (Something about role playing? Idk). I left shortly after that.

    11. Day 50: Continued Practice

by , 04-04-2018 at 12:52 PM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
      Fell asleep at: 11:00 PM

Woke up at: 4:00 AM & 6:30 AM

I wanted to break the trend of me getting real lazy after getting just one LD, so I kept on going with my awareness and logic practices. Needless to say, I got another lucid, albeit a short one.

I woke up around 4:00 o' clock, and then went back to bed only to wake up two hours later.

      Dream 62: Walking Around

I suddenly got lucid inside of my house after wrangling the rhinocelope inside of my living room by way of the nose RC. I didn't really know what to do at that point. I completely forgot about the TOTMs, there were no clear objects to interact with, just a really low level lucid in general. I remember walking out of my house and walking around for a little bit, but I'm not quite sure.

As a result, it ended up getting buried under a whole bunch of other dreams which I can't quite remember. I'll pick it back up, as long as I don't get lazy.

    12. Day 48 & 49: The Calm Before The Lucid

by , 04-04-2018 at 04:12 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
Didn't recall anything on Day 48, except for some vague imagery. Fell sleep around 11:00 PM and woke up around 7:00 AM. Dream counter: 59.

Day 49 is when things start to pick up. I guess thanks to reading up on both Sageous's 'Lucid Dreaming Fundamentals' and FryingMan's 'Unified Theory of Lucid Dreaming', as well as Sensei's 'Thanks For All The Fish', Dolphin's 'Essentials to Having A Lucid Dream', and some ancient, long-forgotten DJs I found in the grandfathered DJ forum. Needless to say, this couldn't have been possible without them. So, thanks if any of you are reading this.

      Day 49:

      Fell asleep at: 11:00 PM

Woke up at: 3:00 AM and 6:30 AM

      Pre-WBTB

      Dream 58: Lucid Once More!

Riding with my family in the large SUV. From where we're going, I can recognize that we are going out of downtown and headed towards the high school, but we're going in the completely wrong direction from where we should be going. Usually we go towards the intersection on the way to school, and out of the neighborhood caught in between the school and downtown. Immediately, I get that "feeling" that Sensei elaborated on in his post, and I just went with it. No further questioning required.

I open the car door and gingerly step out. I think the car might've stopped on my way out. Everything was super vivid and really bright, too--something someone would associate with a bright summer day. I don't exactly take in the time to soak it in, I'm just so excited to have gotten this far.

I spot a girl by the side of a building, some stuff happens, and I then try to change up the dream environment. I woke up shortly after. Not because of a sudden "jolt" of excitement (If that were the case I would have woken up a whole lot earlier), but I think because I caught the LD near the end of a major REM period, that and I lost my train of thought sometime near the end of my lucidity.

I have a system set up where, whenever I get lost in my thoughts, I interrupt whatever's going on and either observe my surroundings or do an RC. It's a really efficient system, mostly because I tend to fantasize about things on a regular basis. This is basically the only way I RC now, when I'm not being observant/aware. I really regret not having this system down-pat, as I feel it could have helped me not to lose track of myself at the end of my LD.

I woke up subsequently after that LD. I walked around a little bit, pondered whether to write down the dream in my DJ, and just decided to use a mnemonic technique to remember it in the morning. I thought having a really bright phone screen in my face during the middle of the night would only keep me up.

      Post WBTB:

Dream 59: False Awakening and an LD in one night? Nice.

Pretty much what it says on the tin. I had a FA where, during the middle of the night, I got up to record my previous LD, alongside a dream I don't remember happening at any point.

      Dream 60: Tantalizing Trump Towers

I'm in this barren, empty room with pillars and a kitchen set in the back. Everything was colored pink, or a really faded red--one or the other. Then I lost my train of thought (Or, in the context of this dream journal, pulled into the Thinkspace). It was about Trump Tower, the one situated at New York City. Apparently, the design of the tower has this window that, if directly shone upon by the sun, would then blast concentrated solar energy upon Central Park, setting it ablaze. Pretty...interesting to say the least.

      Dream 61: Tower Defense-Os

Nothing much to this one. Just something about a tower defense game only with classes duking it out on top of a sea of milk and corn flakes.

      SIDE_NOTES:

      1. To make this less of a headache to read, I bolded the titles for each dream. I'm always for convenience (Maybe because I'm really lazy), so I hope this helps for people who want something easier to digest.

    13. Day 46 & 47: April Fools...

by , 04-01-2018 at 10:31 PM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
Nothing much happened on Day 46. I fell asleep at midnight, and woke up around 9:00 o' clock. I do recall some dreamlets, so let's bump up that counter to 57.

      Day 47:

      Fell asleep at: 2:00 AM

      Woke up at: 9:30 AM

Dream 58: The Ultimate April Fool's Trick

Happy April Fools, SubC, I hope you like it.

So, the dream starts out with me in a classroom. The lights are on, though I still have trouble seeing. I have an enormous sense of presence within the dream, what with it all taking place in the first person. I lose myself in my train of thought as I'm exiting the building--something about a detective and his status.

Once I do exit the building though, a little, teeny tiny thought comes into my head. "What is so dream-like about this? What shouldn't be here?" And so I look around.

To my right I see two busses on top of each other blocking the entrance, to my left I see a guy in a clown costume wrangling a half-rhino-half-antelope thing by its leash. The Rhinocerope is tugging really hard on the leash, and the clown can barely hold on.

For some reason, THAT doesn't trigger any lucidity. I then went over to the area in front of the band hall, and I see my dad talking to about two or three people. The dream ends soon after that.

      Side-notes:

      1. I had a very apathetic feeling throughout the entire dream. Though my sense of presence that I achieved is honestly unprecedented. I hope I can get that feeling going so I can achieve a proper DILD next time.

      2. I tried using MILD before I went to bed. Repeating the phrase, "I am present in my dreams" and (I believe) "My dreams are vivid" before going to sleep.

    14. Day 39 --> Day 44: A Change Of Attitude

by , 03-30-2018 at 05:32 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
      Yes it's been five days.

On days 39 to 42 I pretty much fell asleep at the same time (11:30 PM) and woke up at the same time (7:00 AM) so nothing much there. They were not very eventful honestly as I was really busy with homework and family issues I can't exactly discuss. Nevertheless, I have sought to change this.

About a few days ago, I read up on Fryingman's Unified Theory of Lucid Dreaming post and Twoshadows' Dream Journal before going to bed. I'm implementing Fryingman's awareness and reflectiveness principles in order to feel more 'present' in my dreams, thus leading to a higher chance for lucid dreams. And what do you know, that leads us to Day 43, the day I took back my starring role in my dreams. Because ironically, even in my wildest dreams, you still have to work for what you want.

      Day 43:

      Fell asleep at: 12:00 AM

      Woke up at: 7:20 AM

Dream 54: A Robot Named Chew & Crap, Forgot My Belt...

Mom's driving, I'm in the large black car. It looks like we're driving back from school, towards where the bridge over the canal seems to be. I'm watching something on my tablet, a cartoon very much in the style of Danny Phantom or Fairly Oddparents.

A humanoid, muscular man-like robot is spouting some menacing dialogue. His voice is deep, almost like a deeper take on Grim's voice in how he talks. In particular, he seems to be talking about his teeth, and the chomping power they possess. The little girl (Who he's apparently talking to) asks him if he can drink water or fluids. He reprimands her by saying, "Of course! That's what the pink tooth is for!"

In an attempt to gauge out my mom's reaction to any of this, I always have one eye focused on the screen, and one on my mom. Right after she hears the 'pink tooth' bit, she looks back with this sort of half-shocked, half-disgusted pace. I immediately get flustered by that and just focus my attention on the scenery.

My mom parks in a nondescript building near the canal, in the general area where an apartment complex should be. We get off and I notice something:

One: It's early morning, and kind of chilly, as well as humid.

And Two: I forgot my belt.

"Ah--dang it! I forgot my belt..." I rush back to the car, trying to hold up my pants, and tell my mom the news. I have the faintest feeling that she has gone back to the house before to pick something up earlier on, and right after that my mom tells me she'll get my belt.

As she's leaving she tells me to sit down in front of the building until she comes back. Looking below me, I see a wet puddle, and I briefly reconsider that notion. "It looked like it might've rained earlier in the morning." I thought to myself.

Then, out of the blue, I see my two puppies, Nemo and Kleo. They walk out of the building, jump around on my legs for a little bit, and go back inside, playing with an old woman (Who actually kinda reminds me of my grandma).

      Dream 55: More Random Nonsense

Some dream with a Terraria aesthetic. I don't remember much about it, honestly...

      Dream 56: Huddle 'Round...Me!

I'm in an orange-walled house. I'm sitting down in an awesome large wooden desk, using the laptop. My sister is crouching down next to me, and so is her boyfriend.

A whole lot of my family is there, actually. Though I can't recall any specifics.

      Day 44:

      Fell asleep at: 11:40 PM

      Woke up at: 7:10 AM

Dream 56: More like Google Instant Transmission...

I remember being with my brother a lot in this dream, even though we had a particularly intense argument that day, but that's not what I'm concerned about.

So, my and my brother are deciding where to go to on our trip. We pull up Google Maps on my phone and start selecting designations at random. I particularly remember going to some Middle Eastern "beach" area with one beautiful sunset.

    15. Day 34 & 1/2: ""Midday"" Nap

by , 03-21-2018 at 05:04 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
      Day 34 & 1/2:

      Fell asleep at: 7:50 PM

      Woke up at: 10:30 PM

I tried to induce a WILD as I was falling asleep, but then I got too excited and ended up postponing my sleep ten minutes ahead. I decided it was better to just leave it up to a couple mantras before I went to sleep. And, prepare yourself, this entry is going to go real dark real quick.

      Dream 40: Wonder Science

Me and my family were coming back from HEB when we see a large van with about a thousand large cables running out of it. A large scientist-type figure (Who just vaguely resembled my old Chemistry sub) comes riding on his bicycle, which I can only assume gives power to some of his instruments inside the van.

He gives us a lecture about the power of following your dreams, how he's currently doing, and tells us to do the same. He calls his particular brand of science "wonder science", in reference to how he researches and tests things that he is passionate/wondrous about. He hands us all business cards and then the dream ended.

Dream 41: This is where it gets dark.

Again, my increased daytime awareness has almost completely transferred into my dreams. It really feels like I'm there and that I at least have partial control over my surroundings. My vision is also no longer as blurry, a tell-tale sign of awareness.

So, I'm in my sister's room, just talking to her about...Well, I can't quite remember. I even notice that my elbow is very pink-ish, and I joke about myself being a half-gum-half-man hybrid. In any case, I come to realize one of the pillows has three blood stains on it. I ask my sister about it, and when she turns around, I knew exactly what was going on.

She had three cut marks on the underside of her arm. She told me something about how, specifically, she does this, and I immediately tune her out. I don't need 'that' in my life, I'm gonna go see if someone can help. I go out the door in a terrified stupor, and then the dream ended.

      Dream 42: Miscellaneous Nonsense

A bunch of random, interconnected chaos. One scene has me (Along with two other friends of mine) descending a large well. I pull out an HUD similar to most video game creation tools and build platforms below me as I go down the long, winding well.

In the bottom of the well lies a magma dome. A large, circular platform made of solidified magma surrounded by a lake of lava. For some reason, the temperature doesn't kill me within 20 seconds of being exposed. I have to connect three 'keys' into this large black obelisk before the lava rises. I do just that, plugging in three stone keys into their designated slots.

I am then booted into a dark hotel room. I see silhouettes, but I can't quite make out who it is exactly. I'm guessing a man, about adult age, just sitting around in his chair.
