    1. #247 - A man shot dead / Beating up a dinosaur

      by , 06-12-2016 at 09:42 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
These 2 dreams are from about 4-5 days ago, I had a pretty hectic week and kept losing the time I needed to write them up.

      Dream 1 - A man shot dead
I'm in a courtyard, there's a few buildings around it and it's a nice sunny day. I'm confronted by a man in a suit wielding a gun, he isn't a bad person though. He opens fire on me from the other side of the court, I start doing cartwheels, flips and all sorts of crazy evasive manoeuvres. I'm somehow dodging every single bullet, I remember thinking how lucky I was and how unlikely this is. Another man shows up, similar attire but maybe wearing a red tie and he gives of the impression that he's evil. He starts shooting at both me and the other guy, but I don't get hit. He lands 7 solid chest shots in the first suited man, the guy is lying on the ground bleeding out. I'm not sure but I may have beaten up the second shooter or he just disappeared. I go to the dying man, I feel so sorry for him... He's going to die and there's nothing that can be done to save him. "I know how you feel man, getting shot feels fuckin' horrible" I say. The feeling of what it feels like to be shot, the pressure, the cold, the hole oozing out blood.. It all flashes through my mind in a memory, I've experienced this myself in dreams and now I'm watching it happen to someone else. "Keep fighting man, that's what life is, make the world feel your will to live until the very last moment!" The guy goes limp 2 seconds later, the light fading from his eyes.

      Dream 2 - Beating up a dinosaur
It's probably the Jurassic time period, I'm in a dense forest sitting the upper boughs of a tree with a brontosaurus next to me. I'm not sure how it was in the tree with me, since they're huge.. But it was just chilling next to me, it was both big and small at the same time. The context is that we're hiding from predators, but I'm new to this (I assume I've just travelled here through time maybe). The brontosaurus is teaching me how to hide and I'm following its example, copying the way he camouflages himself by staying still. We hear a carnivorous dinosaur on ground hunting, it doesn't know we're hear so we're safe. But then.. I snap a twig or something by wriggling to get a better view of it. Oh shit... I have to make a run for it, god damn it. I jump up and land on the ground, immediately bolting off in a sprint. I end up in a bigger more open area, I get the impression there are walls around somewhere.. Almost as if it's all just one HUGE cage. I decide to fight the predator back, it looks a bit like a tyrannosaurus. As I'm running I grab a vine and swing up, as the momentum brings me to peak height I prepare to swing back. Gravity pulls me down and I arc towards the predator. I kick it right in its face and jump off. I then do some CRAZY acrobatic kicks and beat the living crap out of it.

      Dream fragment
I remember some dream about being in my bed, I had woken up and was just pretty pent up from not 'doing the deed' because of the Brainbuddy app. Some stuff happened and I was annoyed because I convinced myself to do it despite knowing I didn't want to. I had watched Rick and Morty season 2 about a week ago which I think had some influence. When Little Rick is around and is like "a teenagers worst enemy is his own mind" or something along those lines - felt like I was under a similar influence.

Yesterday was my first day doing ADA (and some more meditation), I felt like at the end of the day I had some intense mental fatigue. My head ached slightly whenever I brought my attention to focus on the things I was doing instead of slipping into autopilot. I slept pretty well, it didn't take too long to fall asleep (an hour I think, which is really good for me ). I think it was a combined effect of the mental fatigue from ADA and physical fatigue from running... But during the night I just had absolutely horrendous dream recall. My mind was just too exhausted to have the mental capacity needed to recalling a dream.

I decided I'd like to write up a dream from my book when I first started, before I transitioned to posting online.

Throwing around a rugby ball, I think with someone else? - the first dream I ever recorded I've come a long way lol

#2 - First death in a dream / Shapeshifting weretigers

Dream 1 - First death in a dream
I was some kind of official who had acquired some information, and I had some friends who decide to protect me by confessing to my crime for me and taking the blame. They then weren't in the room (I had left before) that I returned to because I had a bucket that had my shoes in it or something... O_O? I left again and went up a flight of metal spiralling stairs. I waited there thinking for a bit and then a high ranking official in a military uniform (kind of reminds me of a Gestapo) walks in and shoots me right in the heart. I can feel the blood warming my chest.. I'm lying on the ground still. The man walks away. I reach around and touch the wound and I'm overwhelmed with disbelief. Some part of me seems to think that everything will be okay though.

      Dream 2 - Shapeshifting were-tigers
Shapeshifting were-tigers take over the town in part of a conspiracy. It's a place to use these funny flying things to take over the world (I drew a picture here, it looks like a cross between a manatee and a puffer-fish that is 15 inches long with brown skin and spots on it. It looks really weird). Third-person style dream, it follows a kid who is a were-tiger that is shocked to see so many were-tigers killing the human townsfolk mercilessly. Then the view shifts to a bunch of campers in these large double-decker bus-sized vans, some of which have colour patched up blankets all over them. The main camper-van leader sees what's happening and tells his friends to run and his wife to start the van so she can take the kids and escape.. He plans to be a voluntary scapegoat. Were-tigers approach in a gang-like style, and by this point it has become first person with me as the camper dude standing his ground. I punch the biggest were-tiger straight in the nose and start brawling to divert attention so my family can escape. The boss were-tiger makes a comment to his friend like "Haha you got socked in the face!", to which I add "Yeah he's the biggest so I figured I'd start with him". I seem to realise that I won't live if I continue fighting (since I'm outnumbered and well.. They're were-tigers O_O). I decide to cool it down and hang with them, biding my time. They're apparently cool with this and maybe I earned their respect?
    3. #110 - gang violence + killed in my dreams

      Dream 1 - Gang violence
I remember being on a sloping suburban street that curved around as it went uphill. I was hanging out with some friends from high school. Their families were there, and I noticed that they were a pretty rough folk. Most of them were Mongrel Mob members wearing leather jackets, drinking beer and just hanging out and stuff. They seemed so normal to be honest. I was standing by a white car just talking with my friend when I noticed a car driving slowly past.. They were looking out their windows at the people around me (I guess it was some kind of barbeque get-together) but they looked sinister as hell. I saw one get a gun out and point it towards everyone, they started shooting and I was absolutely terrified. I saw a bullet ricochet off the concrete near my feet and I huddled my head down and tried to crouch behind the car for cover. My friend wasn't too phased by the event, she had an expression that I interpreted as 'geeze their so lame, a driveby while we're partying? wankers'. The car drove off uphill and around the bend and I woke up.

Dream 2 - Killed in my dreams
I think at some point in the dream I was involved in some gang related murder, we killed a friend of Snoop Dogg's (Can't seem to remember it anymore). I was driving at night down a well-lit street, the orange glow from the street lamps lit the red-brick apartment buildings that were common in this lower class area. A car drove up next to mine with the windows rolled down, I look over and see Snoop Dogg. I know what's coming next, and I know there isn't any way I can escape. He gets a gun out and puts it to my chest, I try and explain it wasn't my fault but he clicks the trigger. A gasp of breath escapes, my mouth is open and I look down in shock to see the hole in my chest and blood flowing out. It felt so real, the profound feeling of death lingered. Then the dream reset.
I see Snoop Dogg in the car next to me, I know what's about to happen. This time I explain "wait! I didn't want this to happen! How could anybody want that to happen?!? Nobody should have died, and there's nothing I can do to change what happened" the feeling of tears seem to well up inside me. Snoop Dogg lowered his gun, but I had made a crucial mistake. Snoop Dogg's friend didn't hear my plea. He appeared in front of me (somehow in my car he just popped up in the space where my legs go (I didn't seem to be in the drivers seat anymore as well)) and pointed his gun at me. Bang. A gasp of breath escapes, my mouth is open and I look down in shock to see the hole in my chest and blood flowing out. It felt so real, the profound feeling of death lingered.
Next thing I know I'm awake.

The last dream was pretty scary to wake up from, kind of shocked me.
