Ah that was it.
I'm thinking "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury.
idk just a story we read in school where they go back in time to hunt dinosaurs and the main character steps off the path and steped on a butterfly and when he goes back to the future everything is different.
The Butterfly Effect? I can't think of anything else...
Very nice dream refrence to that one story that I can't remember the name of.
I'm not moping. I'm looking out the window, plotting, when Serenity slams open the heavy wooden double-doors to my study. She looks around and hurries into the room, explains to me that she's hunting after an enemy DC. I thought I might be able to find him in your dream, I guess
Scare Factor: off the charts I look forward to it. I plan on getting caught up with everyone's journals; work's been a little hectic this week.
While you are messing around with pillows, I am getting some good non-lucid battle practice against warehouse thugs. I've got you in my crosshairs. Now ain't that a bitch? I'm coming to get ya! Scare Factor: off the charts
Great ending! I'll have to remember to be careful when accepting tuna sandwiches from strangers from now on though...
"During a half-asleep almost-dream, I become convinced that I am a pot." That just made me laugh for some reason. I like your DJ, I'm going to try to read it more regularly.

I've seen, in dreams, what the same energy does to actual dark-based DCs; I'm somewhere in the middle. I'm thinking it has more to do with the scale of "Order vs. Chaos" than "Light vs. Dark"? I really don't have a problem having dark side powers, though. Originally Posted by Hazel You could seriously write a book based on that dream. I know I'd read it. Wow, that's the perfect dream to mark your 100th entry! "Mom... isn't your cousin doing the catering?" I ask. She looks at me suspiciously. "He is. Why?" I let a smile form. "Have you ever heard of Chalk Tuna?" You could seriously write a book based on that dream. I know I'd read it.
That was a highly enjoyable read. I really like how you shift focus from Mr. Burke, to Matilda, and then finally to yourself, as you shove a blade into her head. It really helps drive that everyone-is-out-to-get-everyone-else-feeling home. My mom's eyes narrow as she gets her bearings, and I can feel her light-based aura sparking unpleasantly. I try not to flinch. Haha, you remind me of Walms. Although, I doubt even he has that much of an aversion to light energy.

I don't feel pain in my dreams, but usually if something is going to attack me, I just wake up I'm actually trying to work on staying in the dream when that happens, cos I've gotten lucid off being "killed" once, before!
I'm a guy with a mullet Nooooooooo!
Hey, that might work. I was thinking claws. Or just pointing my hand and making a gesture to rip it open. You could always try to find the Subtle Knife...
How do you rip the hole? I need a reliable method of transportation/teleportation too. Maybe take some sort of gadget from your pocket, press the button, and watch the portal open?
I'm a guy with a mullet Are you sure that this wasn't a nightmare?
Definitely, although I actually didn't catch the it the first time I read your entry. That's a pretty significant similarity. ETA: There's an idea. We could use McDonalds as a meeting place. Why not use dream-meshing to our advantage?
