    1. First reality check induced Lucid.

      by , 09-12-2012 at 09:49 PM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
So, I've had quite a few lucid dreams before, but I've just recently gotten into the habit of holding my nostrals together every so often to check if I can still breath. I thought it was a little bit silly until last night.

I was sitting in my house, it was darker than usual. I plugged my nose just for the heck of it, and... was still breathing. "Woah, that was easy." I thought. I stood up, thinking about what I should do now. I stepped over to my bed to see if I would see myself laying there still. Unfortunetly I didn't, but my wife was in her place in the bed like usual. She woke up and asked me what I was doing, I told her dream character, I'm dreaming babe- just gonna try some stuff out. I wanted the entire room to light up, so I thought of LIGHT! The room didn't necissarily light up, but I looked to my right, and outside of the window it was a very- very bright day all of a sudden. I looked at my computer to notice if the writing was morphed, you know how they say that if you look at words in a dream and then look again- they won't be the same usually? That played a number on my brain, I looked at my computers texts and it was literally all hyroglyphs. lol. At first I was dissapointed because I wanted to check the tasks of the month of dreamviews, then I instantly remembered- that's stupid. I can't check real webpages in my dreams. (Haha)

I walked over to my dresser and thought about what I wanted to do. My favorite form in any dream world is a feral beast so I decided to attempt a transformation. My hands turned into long claws and grew fur, but that was about it. For some reason my mind told me that it wasn't up for the full transformation at the moment so I decided to go outside. I flew up and phased through my roof. Once I was on the outside I noticed that I had gone too high. Sometimes when I become lucid in dreams, I dart off into the sky and it doesn't allow my mind to comprehend any of the landscape, so it loses my dream world and cuts off lucidity, so I feel back onto my roof and tried to focus. I was thinking of just sitting on my roof and meditating for a moment. I had the un-nerving feeling that i was almost out of time. I don't remember much after the roof, because shortly after that I had a false awakening where I woke up and told my wife I had a lucid dream, then wrote it down in my phone.

Later I woke up and realized that I hadn't wrote it down in my phone, I was peaved. But altogether, I had a good night. I'm going to continue practicing reality checks from now on, definitly.

    3. I don't want to join the military.

      by , 09-10-2012 at 12:27 AM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
My first dream last night started out in my back yard. I was holding a radio box about the size of a small T.V.- This dream had to do with the fact that in real life, I registered myself for manditory drafting not too long ago. (Even though even if I am ever to be drafted, I can't ever join the military because of my eye disorder)

A transmition came through from the U.S. military informing me that a platoon was in route to my house, and I was ordered to read aloud one of my fictional short stories to them. I pushed the communication button and replied, "Uhm... no, I'm not in the military. I'm not gonna do that."

Right after that, all these transmitions poored in about my federal arrest. Like as if I had just commited treason against the U.S.- they told me the platoon was now on their way to take me in for dissobeying a direct order. I began to panic and went inside my house to tell my wife. I told her and then ran outside to tell my parents, they had just pulled up and gotten out of their car. I hollered at them and told them what was going on, they didn't seem to think it was that big of a deal. My mom pointed out the obvious, that I can't even join the military because of my eye disorder and I ran back inside to say goodbye to my wife. I had no idea how long they intended on taking me. The group of soldiers walked into my yard and began to talk with my parents. I expected the worst. I thought to myself, these guys are probably going to treat me like shit because they think I'm a traitor.
My parents requested they be informed of what goes on in my case and where I'm going to be put. I sarcastically added "And I request the least amount of bloodshed from hazing on the way there, I'll be right back."
I had to go pee, and I didn't want to have to go pee while being taken captive. Who knows when I'd get to a restroom. I went in the bathroom... and was to nervous to go. So I kissed my wife, and let the soldiers take me. The next scene was me, somehow transformed into a video game with the rest of that platoon. We were all lions on a two deminsional screen, playing some sort of game on a football field. That game fucking hurt! Seriously, they kept clipping my sides and I could feel the sting. I could tell they didn't like me. I just had to keep pushing my way through. After a while of that, the dream back up back into a personal point of view and I was standing next to a software engineer. I said, "What the hell was that? I didn't understand one bit of what was going on in there."
He told me that this was a new military software that was testing my psyche, I had to play the game like usual. He told me how to play, I don't remember how but then I understood what was going on, so I went back in as a lion. Somehow, I got a team mate this time. My wife's dad, Mike. We kicked their ass this time. I must say, Mike makes a good lion. I can totally see it.

After that I was released, my charges were dropped. That's the end.
    4. A monster from my childhood. The crazy lady was right this time.

      by , 09-09-2012 at 09:01 PM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
This dream started out down the street from my house. I was going for a walk around the block like I do nearly every day. Nothing seemed out of place, and the begining has very little to do with the rest of the dream. I walked my elementry school that's down the street from my house, and as I passed the front office- my oldest friend Marykate Pennington walked by on the other side of the road. I said Hey! what's going on? She said Hey! I just got back from Washington. And she started telling me about her trip. (Everything seemed pretty accurate, she had been living in Washington for a few months.)
We walked down my street and I felt very very weak for some reason. I told her to go to my house and ask my mom to make her some food and we'll catch up in a bit, she didn't look so good either.
I walked past my wife and her sister Amie laying on the sidewalk on the corner accross the street from the school, and I layed down next to her. We talked for a minute, and I fell asleep even though I wasn't sleeping. She poked me a couple times to see if I was awake, and I was awake then but I was going to turn around and yell BOO! But I tried to jump up and found I was too weak at this point. I lifted my head but then it feel back to the ground. Then I laughed and told her what I was trying to do and that I didn't feel good, then we began walking back to my house. On the way back down my street, I noticed that a few of my neighbors small brick walls had been broken on the edges. A few bricks layed on the sidewalk with no explination, like something big had plowed through them.
As I got closer to my house, I noticed a short elderly lady standing in front of the church across the street from my house. (My house in real life is on the corner surrounded by three churches and a school. It's a weird corner.)
The lady was pointing up in the tree shouting, "MONSTER, MONSTER, IT'S THERE! IN THE TREE! Why wouldn't anyone listen?!"
I started walking towards her while looking into the tree, and just then a huge green worm like creature; probably twenty feet long and three feet wide leaped from the tree and with supernatural speed ran through the church's courtyard. "What the fuck!?" I yelled, still weak- I was holding on to things to keep myself moving. It circled the church and rapidly multiplied into an enormous green Cthulhu looking beast. As big as the building and much too quick for anyone around it to escape. It had dozens, maybe a hundred limbs and each was as big or bigger than the first worm I saw. It made me remember a dream that I had when I was little, I have seen what that worm was doing before.
But in the dream years ago, nobody found out what it was. There was a mysterious death in the church yard with a huge grooved ditch going through the grass. I now realized what it was, and I knew the old lady was aware of that past dream as if it was a reality. I looked up at the beast as it flailed it's limbs and grabbed another man and woman right behind me and slammed the woman into the cement directly in front of me. I knew her, she was the mother of my next door neighbor. It pained me to see but I had to go, she was dead. My wife and I reached my house and informed my family. I was standing in my kitchen panicking when I saw icons come up in front of my face like a game. I needed to choose and option of what to do next, but I didn't know what to do. They didn't even have names on them. That was the last thing I remember about this dream. It was fucking epic now that I'm awake thinking about it, but very intense while I was in it.

One thing that's baffling me is how my mind continued a story from so many years ag at that church- and randomly brought it into a huge monsterous conclusion last night. It's beautiful.
    5. The later scenes of my house.

      by , 09-07-2012 at 02:00 AM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
My wife and I were sitting in bed after that weird bathroom thing happened, when my parents walked in.

I could tell my mom was upset. She explained that she was upset over my sister lying about somewhere she was going. It seemed like my mom thought of her as a child in this dream or something, because my mom has dealt with us lying about where we're going before. And never got that emotional. But anyways, my mom just kind of rested her head down on her hand and my dad told her... something along the lines of, she shouldn't get so upset over it- it's not that big of a deal. Which is strange and completely out of character for my dad.
They left, and I did what my sister and I have always done after finding out that our parents are mad at one of us for something we were unaware of yet. I called her. But the process of calling her was so frustrating. I had a blackberry, but the buttons didn't make any sense.
A while later we found my sister at the park down the street from my house and I told her what was up. Still trying to figure out my stupid blackberry, the buttons were changing. That's why I couldn't figure it out.
My sister looked the way she did when she was... around seventeen, eighteen or so. I don't keep up with her hairstyles in a timeline so I'm not sure, but somewhere around there. Pointing that out because she's twenty and I have a niece that didn't exist in this dream.

    6. My house, made weird by the dream state.

      by , 09-07-2012 at 01:44 AM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
So last night I had probably five different major things happen in my house, so the order of them is a little bit jumbled in my head. As far as I know, the first part went like this.

I told my wife goodnight, she went to bed. Shortly after that, I was alone in the house- but I got a visitor. My old friend Eric came over and we talked a while, and smoked a little bit(Which is a little off, because I quit smoking marijuana a short while back because it was giving me extreme anxiety attacks.). After we hung out for a while, he took off. Suddenly I remembered, "Wow, this is strange. I'm not panicking."
So I called my sister and told her about it, kind of excited even though it made little sense. After I hung up I started to panic a bit(Haha, dreams). But at that point my wife woke up and got mad at me, because she had been trying to sleep in that room the whole time. I realize now that she hadn't, but it was a dream so I went with it. I said sorry, I had no idea why I didn't realize that. My mind made up the excuse that I just wasn't used to our new sleeping arrangements. Anyways, after that- she had to use the restroom. But for some reason, we had an ill feeling that something might be waiting in the bathroom.
So I grabbed the knife off of my desk and walked in slowly to find a small, thin, wooden labyrinth going through my bathroom to the side with the toilet. Of course though, on the thin wooden panels going all the way through were mirrors. I could have sworn I saw something move other than myself when first entering the bathroom. Entering the mirror labyrinth*. Now that I remember my dream, I did see something move. But I attributed it to my mind playing tricks on me. I walked all the way through and found nothing, and walked back out. That whole scene made me pretty nervous for some reason, even after I found that nothing was there. Probably just my subconscious telling me that something in my bathroom looked wrong. lol. That was the end of that dream.

But at one point later, I had a false awakening where I was telling my wife about my weird dreams of this night. She told me that she assumed I was having some weird dreams, because I was yelling "Fuck your mother!" in my sleep. This is funny to me, excuse my language.
