    False Awakening

    1. One of the strangest nights yet.

      by , 09-16-2012 at 02:00 AM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
I'm writing this entire night a second time, because I accedently pushed 'Back' on this page after I wrote it the first time(rage). So, I'll start out by saying that I have definitly had some strange dreams. We've all had some pretty strange dreams. Dreams are of the nature of being strange usually, but last night I honestly don't know how they got so out of the ordinary. There were about six to ten different scenes in total, I'll start with the first I remember.

The first scene began in some sort of fantasy land. It was night time, but the night time here glowed. The glowing setting of this place was a dark shade of blue, it was peaceful. My body was in the form of a centaur. But not only did I have the four legs of a horse, I had a pair of wings on my back as well. This dream had a great deal to do with magic, although I don't remember what I was trying to accomplish with magic per say. All I really recall fondly is that I was a flying centaur, and that is badass.

The second dream was in a fancy room. The walls were red, and the carpets, plants, and sofas matched it well. Also there were a few nice paintings along the wall that I noticed. My sister and a few of her friends were sitting on one of the couches talking as I lucidly flew around the room inspecting it. I wanted to continue the scenes, so I made a door in the wall and told everybody to follow me. I didn't know where the door led to, I wanted it to suprise me. So I opened it and walked into the hall way of a mall. On the right side was a marble wall and then a corner that went into the main sections and on the left was a wall made of glass that allowed you to see outside. I don't think this dream continued any longer- it shifted to another scene.

My sister and I walked out of our house with our dog, Chiquis. We walked across the street and said hello to our niece. We talked to her for a bit and let Chiquis walk around the grass. There were a few dogs walking around as well that I didn't notice before. They started to surround Chiquis and sniff her. She gets really nervous around other dogs, and she looked scared shitless to be frank. I was in a sort of strange half lucid state at this point, so I grew out my claws and fur and grew a few inches. I walked towards the group of dogs surrounding mine and let out a menacing growl that sent them running in all directions. Then I picked my baby Chiquis up and pet her for a little while. She liked my fury form. Here's where the dream became extremely... out of the ordinary. I'm not sure how this all happened.

People, turned into things that weren't human. I still considered them normal people in the dream, but everyone I encountered now had bodies shaped as dirty mounds of moving flesh. Their skins were all shades of green and brown and their anatomy's just did not make sense, it's so hard to explain. There was a couple walking down the sidewalk in front of me. Their grotesque blob-bodies where formed into one body with two heads when they were happy with each other, but when they began to fight their bodies would seperate. The male's mouth was in sections of four, and opened and closed in all different angles when he talked; and the female's mouth was came out of her face long and skinny with tiny lips at the end. They talked like normal people, acted like normal people- but everything was weird. The skies were orange. The buildings around me were strange and flesh looking. Some went up for miles, others were regular size. They all had holes and isles like a huge building of large entrails. Still walking down the sidewalk, I began recieving the feeling I was in danger- something was following me. I knew what it was in the dream, but now that I think of it I had no idea really. I began turning corners and picking up my speed when I stopped, almost running into a large neon orange fox shaped creature. The creature was probably the size of my livingroom, and had the body of shaped like a fox. But it didn't have fur, just solid bright mass. It's eyes were red, but not at all sinister. And it talked to me in my head. It's own head so so beatiful, but I can't imagine any way that I could explain it's shape right. The front of it's head had the eyes and nose in place, in the front- but the head was large, and it went back a good length. It was almost a cone shape going backwards, but the shape was made out of a large clump of curling and tethered orange tendons. I jumped on it's back and held on. It had the ability to run on any surface, straight up, straight down, upside down- you name it. We ran through twisting caverns and tunnels of the flesh like buildings I meantioned before, she went so fast. I couldn't hardly keep up with the way she moved. Her voice was soft and calming. She was a good pet.
"So, I couldn't help but notice your horns. Are you one of the demon folk around here?" She asked me. In the dream, for some reason in that moment I was one of the beings they called demons in the city. But in this strange "Ugly Americans" sense. It seemed like the more grotesque you were here, the cooler you were. "Yeah, that's me." I replied. I was having a hard time thinking of conversation at the speeds we were going. We finally got to the complete other side of the town, and she let me off. "Thank you so much." I said. And she jumped away.

The next dream was vivid and horrific, almost like a nightmare but not really. Now everything looked like this world. There was no distortion, it was vivid and realistic. I was walking through a very dirty and runned down area. It looked like a ghetto, but like... a ghetto after the apocolypse had happened or some shit. It was just wrecked. I was walking down an alley, and started seeing corpses here and there. They were rapped up in white tissues, almost like mumification, but less tactful. The body count increased, soon there were piles of these wrapped up bodies. I came upon a giant lot. It looked like a meat farm, but all of the hanging meats were human bodies. More of the bodies that I'd seen, all wrapped up in white material. Some of them were alive I noticed. There were a few workers in the lot, and they formed a twisted lotto game. They'd roll the numbers, and the body that had the same number got their wraps cut off. They got to run away if they were still alive. It was a strange and intensely disturbing scene, mostly because of how calm everyone was with it; other than the people who were wrapped up and hanging upside down.

I ran out into the street and saw my wife and friends, and Tom Cruise(!?). The mood of the dream changed dramatically and I randomly became lucid. I didn't know why Tom Cruise was there, but I went along with it. He had a narley car, and they wanted to go off and do something. My friend Nick jumped in the drivers seat. I motioned my hand up, and he was lifted up in the air and landed in the back seat. "Ahah, dibs." I said and flew into the drivers spot.
"Don't worry Tom, if I wreck your car- I'll fix it." I said, and took off much to fast to be safe in traffic. One part of me wanted to be safe and calm in the car, the other half just wanted to bust it's horse power. So we took off, swearving in and out of the legal peramiters of the road. I remember lastly pulling into a parking structure and everyone getting out. I'm not sure where the dream went after that, but altogether- it was a memorable night.

I had a false awakening once, and sat in bed listening to my brother Jeremy talk to his mom outside of the room. (I was spending the night) But then I woke up shortly after.

    3. Suited up. (Lucid)

      by , 09-13-2012 at 06:33 PM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
I'll record the dreams that came before these when I get home from work, but I'm just so pumped about this one I had to write it down. So my brother Jeremy and I were hanging out down the street from his house having a cigerette. For some reason I remember we weren't wearing shirts, we looked like white trashy corner dwellers in a ghetto or something now that I think of it. But I think in the dream it was just hot and made no difference.

A black guy came up and was standing about ten feet away from us for some reason, he too was just hanging out near the corner. Then a girl walked by that Jeremy knew so he started talking to her. I could tell he liked her, it was his playfully bossy attitude type. He followed her down the street a bit, then we went inside. I noticed there was quite a bit of commotion. The house we were in didn't look much like his, more like my brother Jason's house in shape. I realized after a few moments that our friend Aaron was getting ready to have his wedding! Me and someone else were sitting in a very small room having a conversation, when Aaron walked in with a tuxedo as if he were hiding from someone. I said "Congradulations dude, I didn't even know you were getting married! What are you doing?"
He smiled and said thanks but quickly darted out saying "No time-". Just as he darted out his bride darted in. This was a little bit weirder because her dress was so big and there were already two people in the tiny room, but we kept up the good mood. We asked her, what's going on? She said Aaron and her were dodging in and out of rooms today trying to not let Aaron see her. It's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding. We laughed and talked a bit. I went to the restroom. Here's where I became lucid.

I was in the restroom, I clenched my nose together- and could still breath. (I am loving these reality check results). I instantly became lucid, and called out "I am lucid! I need clarity!", and I rubbed by hands together. Then I ran my hands across the counter of the sink. It was so real. So I began to think about what I was going to do. I noticed in the mirror that I was thoroughly underdressed. I had a great idea. I waved my hand over my body and was dressed in a brilliant fucking tuxedo. I kept waving my hand over it making it absolutely custom, taking out some tads here and there. I kept waving my hand my tie, I wanted the color to be right. I tried red, yellow, blue, striped, it was incredible. I was having fun with this dressup.
I left the bathroom and my dream scene changed.
Back at my house. I wanted to show off my dream skills to my parent's characters for shits and giggles. I said here mom, let me give you a hand with that (while she was preparing lunch in the kitchen). I made the chicken she was about to grab float over to the cutting board. She wasn't impressed. lol.

My family's friend Lenny was over. I said, Lenny check this out. I made a pack of 50 water battles float up into the air and start spinning. I continued playing with things in the air for a while. Then... I walked outside. This is where it went bad. My subconscious thought I had been lucid long enough, so it decided to scare me into false awakening over and over again.

I walked outside and a girl began talking in front of me. She was a dream figment saying "Once a person has been conscious too long in here, they're never let go." And I began to see other people that began half materializing in front of me, as if they were other dreamers stuck in the dream world. I panicked and woke myself up. I woke myself up into another dream. But I knew it this time, I was used to these kinds of false awakening. I woke myself up another time into another false awakening. Almost panicking then, thinking I was stuck, I gave one last burst of energy to my conscious mind and finally woke up. Great dreaming session, just a strange ending.
    4. First reality check induced Lucid.

So, I've had quite a few lucid dreams before, but I've just recently gotten into the habit of holding my nostrals together every so often to check if I can still breath. I thought it was a little bit silly until last night.

I was sitting in my house, it was darker than usual. I plugged my nose just for the heck of it, and... was still breathing. "Woah, that was easy." I thought. I stood up, thinking about what I should do now. I stepped over to my bed to see if I would see myself laying there still. Unfortunetly I didn't, but my wife was in her place in the bed like usual. She woke up and asked me what I was doing, I told her dream character, I'm dreaming babe- just gonna try some stuff out. I wanted the entire room to light up, so I thought of LIGHT! The room didn't necissarily light up, but I looked to my right, and outside of the window it was a very- very bright day all of a sudden. I looked at my computer to notice if the writing was morphed, you know how they say that if you look at words in a dream and then look again- they won't be the same usually? That played a number on my brain, I looked at my computers texts and it was literally all hyroglyphs. lol. At first I was dissapointed because I wanted to check the tasks of the month of dreamviews, then I instantly remembered- that's stupid. I can't check real webpages in my dreams. (Haha)

I walked over to my dresser and thought about what I wanted to do. My favorite form in any dream world is a feral beast so I decided to attempt a transformation. My hands turned into long claws and grew fur, but that was about it. For some reason my mind told me that it wasn't up for the full transformation at the moment so I decided to go outside. I flew up and phased through my roof. Once I was on the outside I noticed that I had gone too high. Sometimes when I become lucid in dreams, I dart off into the sky and it doesn't allow my mind to comprehend any of the landscape, so it loses my dream world and cuts off lucidity, so I feel back onto my roof and tried to focus. I was thinking of just sitting on my roof and meditating for a moment. I had the un-nerving feeling that i was almost out of time. I don't remember much after the roof, because shortly after that I had a false awakening where I woke up and told my wife I had a lucid dream, then wrote it down in my phone.

Later I woke up and realized that I hadn't wrote it down in my phone, I was peaved. But altogether, I had a good night. I'm going to continue practicing reality checks from now on, definitly.

    6. My house, made weird by the dream state.

      by , 09-07-2012 at 01:44 AM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
So last night I had probably five different major things happen in my house, so the order of them is a little bit jumbled in my head. As far as I know, the first part went like this.

I told my wife goodnight, she went to bed. Shortly after that, I was alone in the house- but I got a visitor. My old friend Eric came over and we talked a while, and smoked a little bit(Which is a little off, because I quit smoking marijuana a short while back because it was giving me extreme anxiety attacks.). After we hung out for a while, he took off. Suddenly I remembered, "Wow, this is strange. I'm not panicking."
So I called my sister and told her about it, kind of excited even though it made little sense. After I hung up I started to panic a bit(Haha, dreams). But at that point my wife woke up and got mad at me, because she had been trying to sleep in that room the whole time. I realize now that she hadn't, but it was a dream so I went with it. I said sorry, I had no idea why I didn't realize that. My mind made up the excuse that I just wasn't used to our new sleeping arrangements. Anyways, after that- she had to use the restroom. But for some reason, we had an ill feeling that something might be waiting in the bathroom.
So I grabbed the knife off of my desk and walked in slowly to find a small, thin, wooden labyrinth going through my bathroom to the side with the toilet. Of course though, on the thin wooden panels going all the way through were mirrors. I could have sworn I saw something move other than myself when first entering the bathroom. Entering the mirror labyrinth*. Now that I remember my dream, I did see something move. But I attributed it to my mind playing tricks on me. I walked all the way through and found nothing, and walked back out. That whole scene made me pretty nervous for some reason, even after I found that nothing was there. Probably just my subconscious telling me that something in my bathroom looked wrong. lol. That was the end of that dream.

But at one point later, I had a false awakening where I was telling my wife about my weird dreams of this night. She told me that she assumed I was having some weird dreams, because I was yelling "Fuck your mother!" in my sleep. This is funny to me, excuse my language.

    7. My wife.

      by , 08-27-2012 at 06:16 PM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
So, for the past fiew days I've been dabbling in different induction methods of lucid dreaming. Last night though, after quite an unhealthy dry spell of my lucid's I told my wife to wake me up around three in the morning when she would be going to sleep. She woke me up, I had a glass of water and a little talk- and then attempted to combine the WBTB, WILD, and audio induction methods all at the same time to try to overdrive my mind into remembering to remain conscious.
And praise God it did! I became lucid in a dream of my own house. My wife and I walked into the restroom, and for the sake of my enphatuation with both her and the state of being lucid, I excitedly started explaining the mechanics of what was going on to her dream character. I told her, once we open that door- we can be anywhere, doing anything we want. It's up to you.
She simply said, "I want to go back in time. Two days.". Naturally, that sounds rediculous when you have the full arsonal of my subconscious on the loose in our current realm, but I went a long with it because of it's special meaning. Yesterday, in the day time we had gotten into the worst fight of our relationship. It was a stammering, on the edge conflict that nearly broke us appart, but we made it through with an even stronger stride. So I opened the door, and we went back in time. Before we fought. Before we said things. It was a nice dream to have, even though it completely distracted me from my dream-state studies. I would have it again if I could. After that I had a false awakening, told my wife's second dream character about the first dream, and then it got strange and unorganized. There were a scene where her and I pulled into a dead end street with a bunch of husky Charlie's Angel looking guys parked around my truck (I don't have a truck in real life). One of them came up to me and started talking shit. So I reached for my keys, closed my door and took off. I think I ran over his foot, because him and a group of his friends started riding towards me. I turned out on the main freeway, just to realize that the freeway had turned into a mall... I was driving my truck through a mall, accedently hitting people. So I skidded to a stop, and walked up to a desk where... my wife and I began to casually go about banking business. Then later after a somewhat dark period, I remember being down the street from my house at night time. It was halloween, or something like that I suspected. It was an eerie setting, things started touch me out of nowhere and taunt me so I began walking away and noticed little stuffed dolls on the ground as if someone had been chucking them towards me. Half way back to my house I noticed a group of idiot teenagers giggling about it, so I climbed up the fense about to confront them- but instead just laughed it off and went home. I had some later dreams, but nothing concrete enough to report on. Thanks for reading!
