Non Lucid or Reality :: Lucid

    1. my faerie senses are tingling

by , 02-26-2011 at 03:52 AM (Wandering in Dream Debris.)
In my first dream I find myself floating around in 3rd person. I begin to notice that I'm at an old home I lived in except it had been taken back by nature.

I'm amazed by the tree vines and roots that have consumed the walls. There was this mystical sense with little particles floating in the air and a few rays of sunlight peering from holes that were now in the roof. I focused on the particles and to my surprise some of them were floating in very peculiar ways, so I zoomed in closer and I noticed they were actually faeries. Very happy little guys, floating around, glowing, and minding their own business. Some were attending flowers and removing pollen and sap, it was really cute. Then I noticed one in particular speaking to another one, this is when I took over the body of the 2nd faerie.

He began to talk to me and was telling me that if you listen closely, you could pick up human conversations, it was like a magickal sense that the faeries had the ability to do, anywhere they were. I listened intently and picked up the cry of a little boy being physically abused by his drunken father. I pleaded to my faerie friend that we must go and help him, but he told me we weren't allowed to interact with human affairs. I found it ridiculous so I flew away. There was a slight sense of lucidity, not that I knew I was dreaming, but I had a very good sense of control that felt different from normal dreams. I zoomed around till I found the source of the noise I had picked up and my faerie friend followed after me. We saw the father yelling at the boy but it wasn't anything I could understand. I tackled at the window over and over till the man looked at me with total shock. I notice I had a very bright aura coming out from my wings. He dropped his bottle and yelled something in an angry rage, but he backed off and stormed out of the room.

The boy looked at us from the window and had tears rolling down his face. My faerie friend proceeded to do some faerie magick and was shooting small fireworks and bursts of light for the boy, who was very pleased. I noticed it had been raining and could see reflections of the lights in the raindrops sliding down the window. The boy smiled and there was this great sense of peace and serenity in the air, a feeling I've felt before in dreams, it was very nice. He waved at us and somehow I had the sense he knew we were leaving, everything faded to black and I woke up.

    2. Basic LD task get and lots of flying

by , 02-23-2011 at 05:20 PM (Wandering in Dream Debris.)
I briefly see myself walking in a grocery store when suddenly an evil presence quickly takes over the dreamworld. I think of Freddy Krueger and realize this is why I felt that evil aura, OH LORD HE MUST BE NEAR.

Then I think, wait I never really found his movies scary to begin with...
      YO IM DREAMIN. LOLYAY.

A small burst of vividness takes over my field of vision and I speed to the front of the store to take flight outside. I thank Freddy whilst I run, even though I never saw him, for helping me become lucid as I arrive the automatic opening doors. But luckily I stop and remember to stabilize right before take off. I look at the ground and focus on the small details and little spots on the glossy tile of the grocery store floor, I step outside and feel the cool breeze of the night on my skin, I tried to listen to sounds that might enhance lucidity but nothing noticeable except small street noises are heard.

I decide that's enough for now and was really excited to fly when I remembered to do at least one of the two tasks of the month. I couldn't at the moment fathom doing the advanced one but I figured I could go ahead and get a kiss from a DC, so I look for the nearest victim. I see two shadowy characters walking a few feet from me so I rush over to see who my subconscious wanted to set me up with. Surprise! Oh god I hate that guy. I remember cursing my subconscious and then laughing as if I knew it was playing a joke on me. So I use my will to transform the DC into someone moderately more attractive and well, I was pretty satisfied to say the least.

I kiss him for a moment and realize in other LD's I usually skip this part and cut to the chase, but this was oddly more pleasurable. I stopped and gently pushed him away, and said OKAY THANKS BRO LOLOL, because I really couldn't wait to fly again so I jetted off and saw him shrug and go back to his friend that was waiting for him.

I remember feeling huge bursts of speed in the sky and the chilly air on my skin. I remember at parts flying became a bit difficult and I would flap my arms and laugh at myself for how terrible I was at flying.

I googled flying at night and this showed up, so I'm now a bird.

I knew the dream was already losing stabilization but I couldn't be arsed to go back to the ground, I was enjoying just being there in that moment way too much. I slowly drifted down and remember hovering over the ground upside down and even feeling blood rush to my head, it was startlingly realistic, though I knew it couldn't have been because I was floating upside down. After a few more minutes I decided to just calmly close my eyes and meditate and as I did the dream began to fade.
I knew I was in a good spot to start up a new dream if I focused enough on relaxing, but I figured that was enough for one day and wanted to write in my DJ.

Finally, an end to a very long dryspell. Thanks Freddy.
    3. Freak waves, aliens, and accepting death.

by , 02-16-2011 at 10:15 PM (Wandering in Dream Debris.)
I find myself on a beach enjoying the warm sun as I strolled along the shore. I never liked swimming at the beach so I continued to walk down before I noticed a crowd forming away from the shore. I walked over and by the time I had gotten there, a few hundred feet away from the shore, they began to cheer as if some competition was going on. I looked back and noticed a few people running toward the water and I was under the impression that they had to swim out and come back in a race. So I watched for a moment before I was distracted by the dark stormy clouds looming over the ocean.

The crowd began to gasp at the same time that I noticed huge waves forming on the horizon on the deep end of the ocean. They just kept getting bigger and bigger as they arrived, till they stood what seemed several hundred yards tall.

(similar to this, but still out in the ocean)

Several of the people that went out to swim in the race began to run back, others just stared in shock, and some brave few continued to swim. I remembered I had seen my father earlier so I began to panic as to where he was. I stumbled and pushed through the crowd, which seemed to piss them off, I was confused because I thought the instinct to run from a freak tsunami was appropriate but they all seemed nonchalant. I then found my dad smoking a cigarette also completely unphased by what was coming toward us. I was confused but figured maybe I was over reacting, so I sat down on some steps in front of the crowd, when I heard a booming sound of an aircraft floating above us.

It looked much like the millennium falcon but taller in height and much more squared. It flew over us for a moment before jetting off into the sky. Suddenly I found myself in a bus and people were screaming as other spaceships were looming over us and at one point I heard a huge laser beam crackling down and saw it destroying the pavement in front of the bus. As it came closer to us I shut my eyes, wondered where on earth my dad was, what was going to happen to us, and I thought of various problems in my life which at that moment seemed so utterly pointless now that I was faced with death. I kept them shut as I heard the yelling of everyone, feeling people push me out of the way so they could run; but I knew there was no point, we were going to die either way.

For a moment behind my eyes, I saw a depth that was endless, much like I see in deep meditations some times. I felt so peaceful and I had no more fear of death, all I could do was wait. I opened my eyes, and saw the bus operating normally and everything was peaceful. I open my eyes again and I see and feel the tide calmly pushing and pulling on my feet as I felt the sand underneath me eroding. I open my eyes again and I'm in an aquarium, I realize I was here before what I thought was the beginning of my dream. I open my eyes again and I awake in bed.

    4. The Pussy Wagon, now available by Jeep

by , 02-06-2011 at 08:26 PM (Wandering in Dream Debris.)
I had a very jumbled mix of dream fragments all night. Though the one I remembered mostly was filled with Kill Bill references and the JFK shooting? Yeah I don't know.

So I'm watching a very classy Uma Thurman, standing on a large and beautiful balcony of a tall tall building. She's speaking with a handsome man very casually but she looked fierce and ready for action as always. The dream was incredibly movie like from what little bits I could recall, it even felt like a Quentin Tarantino movie. Suddenly amidst having a conversation which was now becoming flirty, a gunshot is heard directly above her. The camera panned upward and a woman in all black had fired a sniper and ran inside the building, and apparently JFK is now dead, even though I never saw this the idea that it was happening was very strong.

Uma quickly runs inside and somehow the building, which at first was meant for living spaces, becomes a parking lot waaaaay too high up in the air. She sees her foe in black and the more the camera focuses on her, her face and hair changes from scene to scene. Then she's Mila Kunis, pretty much out of no where. At this point (as seems to be a reoccurring theme now) I take over Uma's DC body and suddenly I'm the heroine. It feels weird having tits, you guys, and ladies I dunno how you can run with them they're very annoying.

So I'm in my all yellowed out Kill Bill suit, skin tight, feeling pretty sexy and magically I have summoned a sword, all whilst charging at Mila. There's a moment I felt I might become lucid because how real it was feeling, but again like my previous dream the DC took over again and I just watched. Mila coughs up blood, and in a very cheesy and cliche camera angle I watch her fall with the sword sliding out of her stomach. Uma of course, says something even more cheesy and cliche when she falls, but I can't remember what. thank god.

She drags the body around and finds a Jeep version of the terrible Pussy Wagon. Wonderful. She throws Mila in and drives off, somehow all to quickly driving down some 50 floors, she makes it out onto the pavement and (i'm serious) drives off into the sunset. There were also moments I felt in control of driving but all of it was too much a blur.

I've began taking silene capensis because its said to help with making dreams vivid and to increase dream recall. While I haven't felt the strong effects of it yet (as it's said to take up to 3 days), I do believe I'm starting to notice little hints of it in my dreams.

The most memorable of the fragments I had last night was one in which I saw a scene of a married couple having a casual conversation. It was odd to me upon waking because rarely are my dreams not about me, the majority of them tend to be about me in very normal and boring social settings. This dream however didn't involve me, I was just watching, as if I was watching a movie or show on TV. I even remember laughing at some DC's that were having discussions with each other. At one point however, the woman give her husband a red and shiny one wheeled motorcyle as a gift. His expression said everything, as he hopped on with a huge smile on his face. Here's a doodle of what it looked like:

This is when the dream sort of changed and I took over the DC's body, though not quite becoming entirely lucid, it was still an interesting experience. I remember squeezing the motorunicyle between my legs and thinking "this must be what it feels like to sync with those animals in Avatar" because I felt a telepathic connection with the cycle, and felt it moving in whatever direction I would think of.. I, or he rather, jetted off on his cycle leaving behind a huge red light trail, similar to the bikes in Akira or even Tron Legacy. At this point I quickly lost that small bit of lucidity, and just watched him ride around with joy.

    6. You aren't real! Wait, I didn't mean it like that!

by , 02-01-2011 at 11:35 PM (Wandering in Dream Debris.)
This took place a few days ago, but I forgot to record it. I had an interesting WILD experience that took me in and out of the dream world as I struggled to stay lucid, it went like this:

I wake up and look around my room with a great sense of heavy sleepiness. I decide I'll try to WILD, so I close my eyes and in seconds I feel a huge rush and hear a loud wave of white noise consume me.

I see nothing but darkness but know I've entered the dreamworld, so I breathe gently and relax and wait for the dream to form. I hear my dad in the distance, he's calling on my brother and his wife to come over to the living room because dinner was ready.

I begin to feel the dream... space... but I try to open my dream eyes, because it feels like I have them closed.
I open my actual eyes very slowly and see my room and quickly shut them. I try again but again I keep opening my real eyes, so I decide to keep them closed again.

His wife says "aren't you coming?" and he says "no not yet, I'm waiting". He didn't specify he was waiting for me but I knew that's what he meant. She leaves the room, not that I can see anything, I just hear them and feel their presence.

I decide to try one more time to open my eyes and suddenly visuals come in and my brother sees me, "Hey there you are!" he says. I'm stunned at how this is unfolding, because although I was lucid, it was odd to see how he reacted to my entering into the world.

"Hey! I'm lucid dreaming, how cool is this?!" I say, and he just nods his head agreeing with me, but doesn't seem entirely convinced. I describe further "I mean, you aren't real! This is just a dream, but man it feels real" I remember to try to enhance my lucidity by touching the carpet and feeling the walls, to enhance my senses.

When I look up at my brother he looks disappointed, and I know why. "Wait, I didn't mean it like that! You're still real... I mean you have a real version of you in waking life, but you're like a duplicate! We can still fly around and stuff!" I was saddened a bit too that I hurt my brother's feelings even though I knew he was a DC, it made me upset because he was the one who told me about LDing in the first place.

The more I try to explain to him he just seems to lose interest and become more and more depressed of his only virtual existence. And before I know it my words begin to slur and mix up, while he barely seems to be listening, and the dream fades
      and I wake up.

It was very interesting going in and out of the dream and waking reality, it's a fascinating feeling. I'm glad for once I tried a new technique to stabilize the dream, but was quickly outwitted by my subconscious to spend too much time convincing DC's that I was in a dream. Oh well, good experience all around.

    7. Sliced dog and cats.

by , 02-01-2011 at 11:03 PM (Wandering in Dream Debris.)
So this was disturbing. It was a nightmare not in a fearful sense, but the contents of the dream caused me great discomfort, even upon waking.

I had a dream that for reasons unknown to me, I was supposed to move a dog and 2 cats from a cage they were in, to a blanket outside on the grass. It was horrific because they were sliced in half, yet still ALIVE AND BREATHING, their two halves only hanging on by their spine, which was not cut. So as I'm holding the cats i feel their two halves in various weights shifting up and down in my grasp but they're light so I kept them pretty steady. At one point when I returned for the dog, one of the cats got up and was trying to walk and his guts were slowly drooping out. The dog, being heavier was insanely disturbing and depressing to move because I couldn't seem to find a balance in his two halves, they just kept shifting up and down between my arms and his wiggling was not helping.

I wanted nothing more than to kill them to put them out of their misery, but I just couldn't sum up the ability to do it. I woke up feeling nauseous and with a greater sense and urge for living with a vegetarian or vegan diet. The dogs whimpers still haunt me.
