    Strange star | [25.04.2021]

    Strange star
I am viewing stars in a sort of program, but it's somehow also real, as if I am flying through space myself. There is a sort of feeling that is somewhat scary, and also a bit exciting. I come past stars that look like normal stars, glowing in their usual red, blue and yellow. But then I come across a massive structure. It reminds me of the death star, but as I look closely, the structure is much different. It seems artistic, with abstract geometry.

There was something that happened before that, but I don't quite remember.

It would be interesting to see a drawing or something of how you saw this structure. Was it on its own in empty space or was it in a star system?

It seemed to be classed as a star (apparently I just knew that, as if I read it), but since it was so zoomed in on this massive structure, I wasn't able to see if anything was orbiting it.

Well, I can't draw. But I guess I can describe it. It was spherical, as every celestial object is, but from afar it seemed to have a rough surface. On closer look, it has billions of large crevices (so large that you can probably fit whatever tower you want between such a crevice). It was white, and lit lightly, although this didn't seem to come from the star and was just there. There were a lot of sort of angled, huge cubes in these crevices, just placed artistically spread out from one another. There also seemed to be many smaller crevices within the crevices, so it was sort of fractal-like in detail. These smaller crevices usually quickly declined in size and ended up so small that a human can't fit into it anymore just a few meters in. And that was basically all I saw. Oh, and another thing I knew as if I read it was that the mass is comparable with the stars Betelgeuse and VY Canis Majoris.

So, it was definitely not what I would call realistic. Under such gravity, no structure would be able to hold any shape except spherical, and it would quickly heat up, even if just by friction, that it would very quickly turn into an active star.

It's interesting, I wouldn't have personally associated it's physical (im)plausibility as necessarily relating to how realistic it may seem. To me, what seems real is more in the realm of feeling than of thought-out rationality. Plenty of things feel real to me but that doesn't mean they are plausible. That's why I don't often refer to waking life as "real" life anymore; I find that especially as my recall has improved over the years, my dream reality has all the things I need for me to consider it real, real enough for me certainly.

And I like your description, it seems pretty detailed in how you recall it, certainly seems interesting as something I might like to try drawing myself some time. I'm curious, did you not feel like adding those details to the DJ because you could remember them well enough anyway or for some other reason?

Due to how I think reality is, which is that I don't think that anything can be made sense of considering how we are part of the system, which is actually contradictory since it might just be that we can make sense of it despite that because it just is like that, I guess I would think of it the same way. But I'm not quite fond of being isolated, at least going by the way most people define reality as being. If going by scientific laws, one would be fully alone in a dream, and I don't like that. It just feels uncanny to be as alone and helpless as one is in a dream, which amplifies itself considering that dreams often include fears as well.

I didn't write that into the DJ because it seems that, when a dream is vivid enough for me to remember it for a while, it automatically sort of amplifies the recall of the dream over the course of up to a few days. Like, I just remembered that the cubes had smaller fractal-like crevices as well.
