    Lots of Disjointed Boring Stuff

This is all pretty disjointed and out of order..

So I'm on a stage, performing a main part in a play in front of a big audience, and I'm doing well when suddenly the other actor on stage with me starts doing something that I don't remember being in the script or practicing. At first I don't know what to do and I just stare at her, but when I process what she's saying, I try to improvise, which isn't that hard since I just have to look annoyed and like I can't get a word in, since she's going off on a big, annoying speech. Once we leave the stage, I'm worried that I don't remember that part, but pretty proud of myself for being able to improvise and I talk excitedly to people about it.

In another part of the dream, it's sort of like I'm in a video game, because a bunch of my friends are being locked up, and some are being tortured for information (or tortured into submission so they'll join the evil side?). They're locked up with these weird force-field-type-things. Bones from Star Trek (I can't remember which one) is one of the ones being tortured for information (or possibly to join the evil side) and I have to figure out how to break the force-field and save him. He already weakens it by using these two gears that he had around his waist - they separate, and fly out into the force-field and weaken it by half its strength. Somehow I destroy the rest of the force-field, although I don't remember how. I find out that the one interrogating him was actually an old friend of his, but he was under mind-control. He was a living tree, and although he was roughly man-sized and man-shaped while he was under control, he went back to being a very, very large and tall tree a few moments after being freed from control. Everyone's stomachs dropped when they saw what the evil people had done to the tree. All the branches were gone, and it's bark was stripped in a spiraling stripe up the tree. We all got to work on putting together some branches and bark to put onto the tree, however that works. I was working on a branch with two teenagers who were complaining about needing to get home and study for finals.

Along the way to the place where the tree and Bones were, I came across a friend who wasn't being interrogated, but was trapped in a force-field. Like a video game, it was one of those things that I could do for an extra item or set of points, but I didn't have to, because it would be solved by the end of the "game" anyway. It turns out that on a roof, there is a set of items that, when activated, would break apart that force-field. I went ahead and activated the items. When each item is activated, the roof becomes more and more warped.

At one point there is a white dragon and a red dragon that you can only see one of at a time - they stand on two legs, being very big and tall, and there is a switch on the other side of the room that determines which dragon will stand on the platform. When you flick the switch, whichever dragon is standing there fades away and the other dragon fades in. It's pretty much the beginning of a video game. The dragons have different attributes, and you can only pick one dragon, whose attributes you will gain. I pick the white dragon, and then go back and try to pick the red dragon. I'm unsure about which dragon to pick, and I figure the white dragon's attributes will just cancel out and be replaced with the red dragon's attributes, but instead, I begin losing health quickly, because I've broken the rules by trying to pick both dragons.

At some point there are some animals (people turned into animals?) and they go and visit a crow in a pit (me?) and they tell the crow that although it's an animal right now (or something like that) it should still come out and do whatever it wants and have fun, and should enjoy it instead of just waiting for help. The crow obliges and flies out of the pit.

At one point I'm in my brother's room and in a white textbook he has, there is an enormously thick math (geometry?) textbook.

At another time I'm sitting on the couch in my living room (I think the couch may have been the couch that used to be there, instead of the one there now) trying to find a word in my french dictionary, but it doesn't seem to be there. Then my brother's friend, who is from Africa and speaks French, comes up to me and asks me if I want to do something (Est-ce que tu voudrais [word I don't know]). I'm glad to be able to speak or at least listen to a bit of French from an actual native French speaker. So although I cannot find the word I'm unfamiliar with that he spoke in my French-English dictionary, I go with him anyway. It turns out he was asking me if I wanted to play connect-the dots with chalk outside on the ground. He has some weird way of doing it where the dots are at first placed far apart and are then placed closer and closer together. He says that you're supposed to connect them slowly at first, and then draw the lines faster and faster. Someone else is there with them, someone my age who apparently he and his friends also asked to come, and I let them go first since I don't really understand. Later, when I try to do it with the next set of dots that they draw, they've already moved on to something else. I think at one point at least one of them was sitting in a tree. In the second set of dots that they draw, it goes over a small wooden bridge, and some of the dots are even on the railings of the bridge. I wonder about why this group of friends, all from Africa, have much paler skin than me, as I am already fairly pale.

My family and I are taking a walk in a different neighborhood. We start walking down a hill that somehow leads us into a swamp, but we don't turn back. At some point we're walking along this wooden contraption where we have to walk along an old-looking, dark brown wooden plank that is on it's side, so we have very little walking space - it's like a balancing beam, and we have to walk single-file, although there are other beams that we can hold onto, so it's not that hard. Then I see a red snake with black markings in the water below us, and I tell everyone to watch out, because I'm pretty sure that snake is deadly. Then my mom tells me that it's not deadly, but it had one of the most painful venoms in the world, so we should still be very careful to avoid it and now get bitten. However, my brother and I both fall in. Although I keep falling in multiple times and find it hard to get out, although my brother only fell in once, he gets bitten. Later, I see something get bitten and I thought it was my tail, but it must have not affected me since I didn't actually have a tail? I think the snake may have bitten its own tail.
