    1. More Bad Recall

      by , 07-29-2010 at 11:17 AM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      Fragments:

Something involving... Batman and Robin. (I keep getting flashes of this one, but it's not coming to me.)

Some kind of crime. I'm probably lucky to be alive. I wish the police would stop interrogating me. My family agrees.

CRAZY preacher who is spouting off utter blasphemy. My mother starts shouting questions in the middle of the service.

Wandering around school again at lunch time. This time with Shelbi. I have a terrible cough, and she doesn't believe that I can't really talk.

    2. Random Flash of Recall

      by , 07-27-2010 at 01:57 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Woah! How could I forget my beetle dream!?

      2- Giant Beetle
A HUGE beetle is trying to eat my foot. When I say huge, I mean this thing is the size of a dog. It keeps grabbing ahold of my shoe in its monstrous jaws as I desperately kick at it, trying to get it to back off.

    3. Video Game

      by , 07-27-2010 at 01:04 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Not so good recall again, but probably due to the fact that I went to bed really late.

      1- Fierce Opponent
My brother and I are in the midst of a boss battle in a video game that has come to life. Our opponent is gargantuan, with thick, impenetrable armor and the largest sword I have ever seen. The sword looked a lot like this:

My brother is not being a very big help, so I end up doing most of the work. ((The opposite of the way it would be irl. I suck at video games.)) Still, this guy is impossible to defeat. In the course of our battle, I learn that he is single-handedly responsible for the fall of the Roman Empire, which is why I must defeat him. (Rome is still alive and well in the game.) I utterly fail at killing the guy, but due to my awesome power of persuasion we actually become friends.

Later in the dream, he gives me a cuuute little kitten that has the tail of a raccoon. ^^ (My favorite kind of cat ever.)

Like this, except much smaller and a lot darker fur:

    4. Curse of the Kraken

      by , 07-26-2010 at 01:35 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/26/10

I supposedly had a really epic lucid last night, according to a fragment I have of telling someone else about it. Unfortunately it is completely lost.

      1- Curse of the Kraken
The apocalypse is approaching. Or so it seems as I stare in horror at the huge wall of water about to wash over me. The wave crashes down upon me, but I manage to grab ahold of a whale serenely floating by. I am relieved that I didn't die. The water retreats back to the horizon, where I see it sit, waiting for a more opportune time to strike. It wants ME, specifically. Buy why? ((Note that I live half a day away from the ocean.))

Throughout the dream it takes many more shots at me. I can't sleep, for fear that I will be dragged off to sea! Somewhere along the line I end up traveling with some people who are sworn to protect me. We are camping out in the forest, thinking it to be a safe place. The girl and boy I am with (who seem to be anime characters from two separate shows) are arguing about whose tent I am going to sleep in. My bodyguard tells them to shut up or take a hike.

      I drift off to sleep.

My thoughts begin to narrate what happens after that. "I thought I would be safe in the forest, but the water came for me while I was asleep. It picked me up and dragged me away. When I woke up, I was alone and lost. I had to spend a week in the hospital, but I'm okay now."

Back to the live action. The ocean had grown tired of trying to drown me, so it sends a Kraken after me. While I am on the run from it, we learn the hard way that all who touch the water from now on will become a Kraken as well. People are turning all around me, and I'm chopping them up with a cleaver. The curse gets smarter. Now the mini Krakens are able to turn back into humans, but they still contain their evil souls. My best friend is trying to kill me with an axe!

Then something amazing happens. As I am talking to my friend, trying to plead with her to fight this madness... it actually works. Reason returns to her eyes and she drops her weapon. I realize that this must be why the ocean is out to get me. My voice has the power to break the curse of the Kraken!

    5. Second Missed Night

      by , 07-26-2010 at 01:12 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/24/10

      1- Antics
I end up throwing a childish hissy fit and run off down the road. I go farther than intended; all the way down to Deerman High. (Name changed.) As I jump the fence, I have a complete character change.

I am now a guy. From a 3rd person POV I see that I have spiky reddish orange hair. Really good-looking. I intend to leave this place before I get caught, but a marvellous sight stops me dead in my tracks: A cheerleader. A tall, blond, big chested cheerleader. I decide to hang around here for a bit, after all. ((What I find most amusing about this dream is that I literally had the mindset of a guy. I apparently didn't remember being a girl AT ALL.)) I pay someone to give me their extra uniform, which allows me to blend in.

    6. First Missed Night

      by , 07-26-2010 at 12:59 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Okay, I have several nights worth of dreams to type up. I was wrapped up in a lot of other things so I didn't have time to post them here, but I did either write them down or commit them to memory. I'll do this with one entry per night.

      7/23/10

      1- Living Dead Girl
Although I am on a cruise ship, it doesn't seem like much of a vacation. Everything is dark and gloomy, from the weather, to the passengers, to the ship itself. I have befriended a group of younger girls, one of whom is suffering from a terrible disfigurement of the face. She is dying; whether from her condition or her own self-pity is hard to tell. Regardless, it's clear that she's looking forward to it.

After her death, the other girls and I hold some sort of ritual to honor her. This, as things often do in my dreams, goes horribly wrong. We accidentally bring the girl back to life.

If it can even be called life. She is trapped between the two planes, able to be physical or etheric as she chooses. And she's furious with us for this. One by one she picks us off. I do my best to try to rescue the youngest of our group from her fury, but I inevitably fail. Our original group of six has dwindled to two. (Three if you count the ghost girl.) We learn that water will vanquish her, but only if it's tap water. She is one step ahead. The rain outside acts as a shield: we can't attack her. We're pretty much doomed.

    7. Weird Sleep

      by , 07-22-2010 at 07:11 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I forgot to mention this in my other entry, but last night was probably ranked pretty high on my imaginary "List of Weird Nights." I woke up pretty much every hour starting at midnight, and each time I was convinced that I was a priestess from some kind of cult or coven. I would then proceed to roll and tumble around on my bed for a few minutes before drifting back to sleep. Also, though I'm pretty sure there was no third person view, I seem to have had long blue hair.

    8. Bad Karma

      by , 07-22-2010 at 06:11 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/22/10

I finally had a fun dream!

      1- Bad Karma

My family and I are witches. I seem to be an odd combination between Phoebe from Charmed, Hermione, and myself. And I'm in a world of trouble. The previous night, I had snuck into a graveyard and eaten the heart of a demon who was imprisoned there. This act would give me unimaginable power, but only if I am able to vanquish the demon on the following night.

All day long, I'm a nervous wreck. My father is the first to notice my strange behavior, but I refuse to tell him what's wrong. That evening, my mom is driving us all to the movies. My dad tells her how odd I've been acting, and she asks if there's anything I need to tell her. "Nope, nothing." She definitely doesn't need to know what I've been up to.

"She's lying!" my brother pipes up from the back seat. "She's activated my lie detector! Only... it says that she's just used a rehearsed apology."

When we get out of the car, I take my wand out of my mom's purse without anyone noticing and slip it into my back pocket. (There had been something earlier in the dream about how we were all grounded from our wands for misuse of our magic.)

      *lapse in time*

We are now back from the movies; the sun has set. I am not surprised to see the demon waiting for me as I enter my room. It is tall, with the body of a human, the face of an ogre, and the wings of a dragon. It's skin is literally on fire, burning with bright orange flames. All useful spells suddenly flee from my mind as the creature begins its attack. "Alohamora!" I screech, before remembering that that's an unlocking spell.

None of my family members will help me. My brother is sleeping and does not wish to be disturbed. My parents have found out why the demon is after me, and say that it's my punishment to fight it alone. But none of my spells are working! In the end, I set a trap and crush the demon to death under a ton of heavy items.
    9. Weird Things

      by , 07-20-2010 at 04:25 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      More recall! ^^

      1- Scare Tactics
I am looking through my closet, when I see a twisted parody of my skeleton mask. It is solid black, with glowing red eyes, and it's laughing at me evilly. In response, I stick my tongue out at it and make a funny noise. "What was that all about?" My friend asks me.

      "Oh, nothing."

      2- The Observatory
While walking down a desolate country road, my mom notices a strange blue star. "It must be a satellite," I tell her. Just then, the "star" falls from the sky and nearly hits me in the head. I barely manage to leap out of the way.

Well, it's definitely no satellite. It appears to be several blue, shiny balls stuck together, surrounded by a rotating disk.

Upon hearing a strange noise, we climb the bank on the opposite side of the road and discover what appears to be a giant telescope among some official looking vehicles. Apparently we've stumbled upon one of NASA's secret observatories.

      3- Bike Ride to Weirdness
Riding down the road on my bike, I have to go through all kinds of weird obstacles that shouldn't be there. (Giant spider webs, creepy tunnels, trees in the middle of the road...) Eventually, I come upon a strange place that sends shivers down my spine. I can tell that this really isn't the best part of the neighborhood.

Suddenly I am no longer myself, but a male detective in my early forties. I am interrogating some creepy people (along with John, my partner), suspecting that they are up to no good. One of them is holding a demon possessed monkey, which she claims is her son. The people are cordial for a few minutes, but when we ask about the murders that have occurred recently, they flip out and set their "son" on us.

We flee to John's house, where his mother tells us she will take care of everything. She has a talk with the monkey's "mother," who says that her son is really a sweet kid. She goes on to say that her (John's mother's) son is a terrible hoodlum with no manners.

    10. I Have Returned

      by , 07-18-2010 at 09:21 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I've had the most horrible recall of my whole life this past week, but last night I FINALLY remembered some dreams. (My poor recall isn't the only reason for my absence. I was also somewhat obsessed with a sort of roleplaying game that I'm not even a part of.)

      7/18/10

      1- Rat-Girl
I go into our tool shed to see if I can find the mouse family my mother has told me about. Instead, I see a strange girl sitting over a group of young rats. The girl has silvery white hair and... rat ears on top of her head. WTF? My mom must be blind if she thinks these are mice.

The girl sends her "children" off to their room while she talks to me. She explains that she's not a ratgirl, but a wolfgirl. I don't believe her.

2- Searching for Food (short version, because it was rather long and pointless)
On the first day of school, the lunch room is closed. I am told that there is a table set up on "Sunny Street" where I can get my food, but by the time I get through the frustrating maze that leads to it, lunch is over.

    11. Last Night with the Amethyst Stone

      by , 07-09-2010 at 02:51 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I feel like I had some interesting dreams yesterday, but they were forgotten as soon as I woke up. Three lucids last night, though.

      1- Forgetful
I randomly become lucid, but I take a huge leap into the air just to make sure. Yeah, there's no way I'd be able to jump ten feet in real life. So... what am I supposed to do? I ponder over my goals, but for the life of me I can't remember them.

Suddenly I have a huge kite in my hand. Cool, this should be fun to fly with. Holding the kite against my back, I take a running leap and soar through the air. Suddenly, I "remember" one of my goals. I'm supposed to use this kite to fly over to visit the man who lives next door.
((Why can I never recognize false memories while I'm dreaming? Especially when they're rather absurd like that.)) I wake up shortly afterward.

      2- Snapped
I am at some weird event... There are a lot of people around who I don't know. I'm supposed to be socializing, but it's really awkward trying to make conversation.

Suddenly, my phone rings. It's my mom. I answer it, grateful to have an excuse to walk away from everyone. I notice that my phone seems to be showing everything that my mom is doing. "That's weird," I tell her, "I know my phone doesn't have video on it. How are you doing that?" Suddenly, I see my next door neighbor Dee Dee come onto the screen. She brutally kills both my mom and my dad. I get sucked into the scene, hungry for revenge.

Dee Dee doesn't realize I'm here. I stealthily sneak up behind her and knock her to the ground. Pinning her down with one foot, I use the other to slowly and painfully snap her neck. The bone juts out from the skin, and a little trickle of blood runs down from the wound. I am both disturbed and fascinated at the same time.

I randomly become lucid and go inside. I decide that it would be best if I just entered a different dream. So I lie down on the floor and close my eyes...

I immediately exit the dream and enter SP. I decide I will count this as a WILD, for lack of a better name. I wait for my body to regain feeling... and wait.... and wait... and wait. Okay, it seems like I've been paralyzed for WAY longer than usual. I'm gonna have to force it. After a bit of struggling, I finally manage to...

      3- Freefall

...pry myself out of my body. I do an RC just to make sure, but I know I'm dreaming. Unfortunately, the previous dream must have still been on my mind. I realize that I am once again at the scene of the murder. And guess who's not dead?

I decide not to fight this time. I take off on all fours into the woods, bounding at high speed. This is much easier than running on two legs... I briefly consider morphing into a wolf, but I get distracted. Hm, it seems like I'm getting really tired. But I'm dreaming, there's no need for me to stop. My body says otherwise. I am simply too tired to run anymore. I begin to speculate. Maybe it's my energy body getting tired, then.

Somewhere along the line, I forget I'm dreaming. I am no longer myself, either. I seem to be a man in my late 30's, being chased by the evil kid from Sharkboy and Lavagirl. Idk what his name is IRL, but in the dream it's Clyde.

I have already killed Clyde multiple times, but he always finds a way to come back. He says he learned the ability to regenerate from the Planet of the Starfish.

I am in a futuristic city, looking at this weird robot dancing in the middle of the street. Her whole body is made of metal, but her head is that of a human. "Wow, that looks like a real head," I tell the girl I'm traveling with. She begins to tell me what model the robot is, and explains how hi-tech it is. She uses a lot of strange words, though, and I don't have a clue what she means.

Suddenly, the robot starts trying to kill me. Turns out that it's Clyde in another one of his disguises.

In my effort to escape Clyde, I end up on the side of a bridge, lucid again. I'm really high up... seems like it would be fun to jump off.

It's not. I'm halfway to the ground before my vision catches up with my body, and when it does I have that terrible falling sensation in the pit of my stomach. This can be enjoyable in small doses, but I am just SO HIGH that the fall seems endless. Finally it jolts me into a false awakening.

    12. Freddy Krueger, Lucidity, and Cloning

      by , 07-07-2010 at 12:15 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
So, I've been doing this experiment with different stones and their effects on dreaming. For three nights I slept with malachite under my pillow, and my recall seemed amazing. (Though my dreams were not as disturbing/exciting as usual.) I was going to try tiger's eye for three nights as well, but after those two nights with extremely horrible recall, I decided to give that one up. Last night was night one with Amethyst, and I must say that I am pleased!

      1- Reverse Nightmare
I am on a dangerous island with my family and some other people. Those who travel alone are stupid, and if they get killed it's their own fault. I feel no pity for them.

There is no limit to the perils of this place: cannibals, deadly creatures, turbulent water... And yet, I'm feeling right at home! A trail of rocks goes far out into the water; I deftly run across them, quick as lightning, knowing that if I take one wrong step I'll be plummeting to my death.

My mom follows me, albeit not as quickly. She says that in order to get off the island, we first have to make it through Krueger's labyrinth. "Freddy Krueger's here!?" I ask excitedly. My mom gives me a weird look; obviously this is not a typical reaction. I don't care. Excitement courses through my veins as we all head toward the labyrinth. "Remember," I tell them, "Don't show fear. You can't really die here. Freddy may cut you to shreds, but after its over you'll come back in one piece."

We enter the labyrinth as I am saying this. As soon as the words come out of my mouth, Freddy's clawed hand has slashed all the way through my dad. "Damn, I died," he mutters, falling to the floor in a pool of blood. Krueger is standing there, smirking.

I laugh. "You really don't know who you're dealing with, Krueger." As always, my lack of fear begins to absorb his energy. And as always, he runs like the coward he is. Grinning, I follow him. "Shelby's right," I think to myself, "If I was ever in a horror movie, I'd be the first to die, 'cause I'd chase after the evil thing." Just as I am closing in on my prey, wondering if I should rip his head off again or try something different, something changes.

      No longer in the maze;
spontaneous lucidity. For some reason I feel that my energy has been screwed with, that I need to be healed. I know Raven Knight heals people sometimes. Maybe if I could summon her... I lost my train of thought as a mirror comes into view. Yeah, I'm supposed to be looking for Samael. I'll just use this as a portal. My thoughts are weird though, and I can't focus as I try to scry his location in the mirror. My reflection goes all weird for a second, taking on the form of a demon. Oh great, this again. I briefly look away, then look back. Good, my reflection is back to normal.

Come to think of it, this would be a good time to try the task of the month. I reach into the mirror and pull my reflection out. She sprawls out on the floor, limp and lifeless. Annoyed, I prop her against the wall and look into the mirror again, at my new reflection. Before I can pull her out as well, my other one falls over in my lap. "Ew, she's drooling," I mutter, sitting her up against the wall again. A girl is standing behind me; she's been with me for a while, but I can't remember who she is. Raven Knight, perhaps? Possibly Tamora. She tells me to stop fooling around; that it's obvious I have to give the reflection some life force before it responds.

"Oh, of course." I put my hand on my clone's head and say, "I give you life." Suddenly, her once glazed over eyes become alert. She can now sit up without having to lean up against the wall. "Yay, it worked!" Now I reach into the mirror and pull out my new reflection, this time giving her life before she's even fully out of the mirror. That's two clones, that should be enough to satisfy the requirements.

As we walk away, the girl who is with me suggests that we go back to Freddy's labyrinth. "No, my powers don't work in labyrinths for some reason," I say vaguely. ((Um, what?)) We are going to a particular place, but where it is escapes my memory. I notice that my former reflections have stopped being clones. In fact, one of them has turned into a bald old man.
    13. Still No Recall

      by , 07-06-2010 at 12:46 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
ANOTHER night of terrible recall. It took me half an hour just to drag out of my mind the memory of not getting my summer homework done in time. There was also something about tearing a little creature figurine (a life-like one, with blood) apart with a small hook.

I remember a failed DEILD attempt, also. I made it into full SP, and I was thinking that I'd surely remember a lucid if I had one. Then it suddenly started feeling like a creature was attempting to claw its way out of my stomach. I knew it wasn't real, but it felt freaky as hell! I couldn't move, I couldn't struggle against the SP. I managed to stay calm, though. I lost consciousness shortly afterwards.

    14. No Recall

      by , 07-05-2010 at 03:20 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Not really sure what happened to my recall last night. I woke up about 3:30 for WBTB, but the only dreams I remembered were vague flashes about summoning demons. Then I attempted to WILD and was out like a light until 5:00. Still no recall at that point, so I put my sleep mask on and went back to sleep for about 4 more hours. I had a few dreams, but the details are too vague to write down

    15. When Things Go Wrong

      by , 07-04-2010 at 03:37 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1- Gross
((I'm not going to describe the events that led up to my lucidity. Believe me, you don't want to hear it. I'll just say that it involves tonsil stones.)) I look in the mirror and decide that I'd better RC for good measure, because this is NOT normal. To my relief, I am dreaming. All I remember is going out in my backyard...

      2- Hitler's Reincarnation
A man who is the spitting image of Hitler is doing some experiments on a dreamstone. He is progressively getting crazier and crazier. There are some people that he has locked up, and he is talking to one of them. "I wonder how the stone will react," he murmurs, "when it absorbs all the negative energies from your massacre!" He opens the gates, and the prisoners flood out. Men on horseback come, slaughtering every one of them.

      3- DEILD attempt

I am trying to DEILD, but I don't realize that I'm already dreaming. It's too late to even call it a DEILD anyway, 'cause I've already opened my eyes. I am looking at my reflection in a mirror above my bed. She is gesturing for me to come closer. I refuse, telling HER to come closer. She walks out the mirror door, subsequently walking IN my real door. Cool, now there's two of me! ((I'm semi-lucid at this point.)) My reflection doesn't seem to like me that much, but I don't care. I try to think of something interesting we can do, when...

      4- Wild Chase
Chris calls me, and I "wake up."

"What is it!?" I yell from my bed.

      "Come here!"

He hands me two cookies wrapped up in a piece of paper. He tells me I have to take them to Nathaniel. "Why can't Steven do that?" I ask irritably. "It's his friend." But I go out to the car anyway. For some reason, Jordan's there, and he's in the driver's seat. What's the point of me even going?

We start off down the road. From the talking in the back seat, I conclude that Tony, Eve, Charles, and my brother are with us as well. Why are THEY here?

Jordan is swerving all over the road, and I yell at him to get in his lane. "I can't! I'll hit the pigeons!"

"How can you even see any pigeons!? You don't have your lights on!" While he's trying to find the lights, he swerves off the road and nearly crashes. We come to an abrupt halt. Charlie runs out of the car and pukes all over the road. When he gets back in, I'm about to tell Jordan to let me drive, but he takes off at an alarming speed.

"Slow down, you idiot!!!" Now the cops are chasing us. They're shooting! He manages to get away, and I force him to stop the car. "I'm driving!" I fume angrily. He doesn't argue.

I have another run-in with the cops, but I'm driving a hell of a lot better than Jordan was. They're only chasing me because of his stupidity... But using my new-found super driving skills, I easily evade them. Steven tells me we have to stop at McDonald's to get his friend's burger.

Somehow, I'm on a motorcycle now, and everyone else is just walking around me as I pull up to the drive through. After ordering, I realize that we must have left those cookies in the car...

Conclusion: Samael is right. DC's should never be allowed to drive.
