    1. The Storm

by , 11-12-2012 at 04:57 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
There is a storm coming. Flooding is being considered a very realistic danger. I am preparing my home for the impact. It is a very cloudy, gray day outside. i am trying to lure all of the (stray?) dogs into my home. There is a man in uniform here momentarily. He is helping me, prepare of maybe just nudging me to hurry the preparations before the storm sets in good. I think he is a fireman. As he is leaving I go through the double garage doors to the stairs that lead to my home. I turn back and request that he shut the garage doors on his way out.

"There is a button near the top of the door inside. You can push it and still make it through the door in time."

I am starting to panic and become paranoid now. I'm worried that he won't close the door properly and wondering if I'll have enough time to do it myself.

Inside and out we prepare. Mom is here as well as Suzette. At least two times I notice a cigarette on the floor and consider smoking it. A single one. We stand at the side of the house where a chorus of electronic, chords and outlets are strewn about, plugged into the house. We are discussing weather or not to take them in the house. Which seems silly to me.

Every time I go into my house or some aspect of my house, I am put through this complicated entry process involving a computer with code, password, algorithm etc. I get confused every time I try and remember the entry yet I know that I know it. The entry is like an elevator with a lot of yellow, metal and glass.
      ---------------------------------------------
I am going down a familiar hallway in a familiar place.
      Very cave like with stone.
Like the inside of a castle on Mario Land.
I go to take an elevator contraption to another area but jump on after it starts back down.
Now I am on the top of the elevator/lift contraption.
I remember thinking that it's okay if I die because I have an infinite number of lives here.
And as I descend with the lift, I begin to wonder if it will hurt.
Just as I'm starting to worry, we take a sharp stop then turn.
The lift is now traveling horizontally.
The walls of the shoot are like mining tunnels.
All packed dirt, stone and wooden beam.
I see that up ahead I'm going to run into something that will surely mangle and kill me.

"But it's okay," I think to myself, "because I have more lives. But will it hurt?"

I begin to feel the pressure of this vague obstacle coming down upon me, squeezing the life from me. No pain.
    2. Mary is up there.

by , 10-30-2012 at 10:03 PM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
I am in my dream house or some version of it.
Mom and I are going somewhere.
      She's waiting for me outside.
I need one last thing before I go.
      I head upstairs.
I hear a voice saying "Mary is up there."
I know instantly that they mean upstairs in the dark room.
I am outside using my dream body to bounce up and survey the windows of the upstairs.
Looking for a sign of Mary.
I'm scared that I'll see something.
The top room in dream house, I have only maybe reached once.
I know that this is what they mean.
She is in the room that is very difficult to reach.
A room in my dream home that I've thought about many times.
      The tower.
      Is Mary in the tower?
I am upstairs (not the top) and I need to get down to my mother.
There is a wonky staircase with three to four long, straight, skinny poles jutting out as some kind of banister.
My mom is holding the ends of the poles down so I can slide my way downstairs.
I tell her to be careful.

    3. AERC: Amplified Emotional Reality Check

by , 10-19-2012 at 12:16 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
I thought it was appropriate that I post a new method I'm trying here in my journal. The original post is located here AERC: Amplified Emotional Reality Check.

      I. I propose that the amplified emotion reality check may be a highly effective means in attaining lucidity during the dreamstate.

      II.
In my research, there has been a stable, broad margin of success with both the most popular (i.e. using a computer, mirror check) as well as personally tailored (i.e. Every time I see my dog sparky) reality checks.

A method that spoke loudly to me was emotional analysis.

Emotion, in its most general definition, is a neural impulse that moves an organism to action, prompting automatic reactive behavior that has been adapted through evolution as a survival mechanism to meet a survival need. That being said I feel that this method could potentially be one of the most natural and adaptable reality checks (especially for the beginner). It is hardly difficult to find yourself in a heightened emotional state in these times. One simply turns to a news network of their choice, for a melting pot of ups, downs and oh my!'s.

I propose that we take full advantage of these neurological hills and valleys and see: where, how fast and how efficiently they lead us in the end.

III. My proposed method will focus on being conscious of when these ten (possibly more) emotions present themselves, and proceed to carry out a simple (i.e. finger through palm) reality check.
      1. Allowing adequate time for exercising/adapting acute emotional awareness.
      A. Posting a list of common emotions in areas throughout your living space that you will see and be conscious of.

      B. Use television, books, movies and other 3rd party media sources to practice (probably the biggest source of emotion in existence right now).

      C. Document the most memorable emotional instances and the appropriate label i.e (anger, joy, fear) in your dream journal.

      D. Review results nightly before bed.

Note: I know this is not a new concept but I wanted to tailor a method that could someday be used by beginning LDers. The structure for the method came from my successive failure with reality checks. Looking at my dream journal, it seemed the consistency was not so much in the signs but my feelings toward the action. I seemed to become lucid when there was a problem to be solved time and again. Or when I was crying both happy tears and heartbroken ones. I find a lot of real-life RC's are too hard for my wandering Sagittarius mind to handle. I always forget to look in the mirror, I don't wear a watch. Some of the simplest ones that seem to work so well for many are just too...how can I say...unimportant for me to remember to do them. I don't know if I said that right. I'm the type of person that in order to be motivated, has to have good reason and almost, I hate to say it, incentive. It kind of shows with my dream sign (solving problems), in that I was needed, I didn't just observe, I was being useful and engaged. And naturally, since I feel most emotion when I'm engaged, I decided to put it to the test.

I would love your thoughts, especially anyone who has worked with emotion-specific RC's in the past.

    4. Anxious Feast

by , 10-14-2012 at 10:02 PM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
In a cafeteria I am at a long table spread with food. I'm having a hard time deciding what to put on my very small plate. After choosing three of four items, one more table of food is set out. For a moment I am worried that there won’t be enough room. I occurs tome that I can place my smaller plate on a bigger plate. It is announced to me that if I have a hard time deciding, there will be guidance available to me.

Papa and I sit and compare how different the new and old Windows operating systems are. He shows me the position of the old delete key compared to the new one. He seems very amused by this.

    7. Fluffy Kitty Bee

by , 10-13-2012 at 07:34 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)

We are sitting in a living room of sorts. I catch what I believe is a large bee or bug. Upon further inspection I see that it is a kitten-like creature with tiny wings.

    8. Twin Sisters

by , 10-12-2012 at 11:25 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
My apartment. The Owenby family. Run race. Woman stacking something at my back door. “Obviously I'm breaking into your house.” Caught in the steam. Taking pamprin but Laura says no. Two psychic girls. I was stuck in the stream. I know a waterfall is near. We are in the river. Near shore we find an escape. We find it difficult to get onto the ledge. My accomplice grabs onto the edge and uses me as leverage.
Entering my apartment in Twisted City. I am walking down the back alley entrance. As I approach I see a brunette woman at the steps of my back door. She is in her forties or fifties, curly hair and olive skin. She is sorting and stacking a tray of something. Whatever they are, they are smaller than her palm and sparkly. A flower shape comes to mind. She turns to me bent over and says, “Obviously I’m breaking into your house.” I smile at her and pass the whole thing off as if she were telling a funny joke. I edge past her and see the silver tray of colorful items. In my small apartment I make my way to the front door. I exit and find myself in another alley. It is a dead end. Two girls and their mother reside here. They want to play with me. Their mother tells me they are the most powerful psychics in the world.
    9. Bicycle Messenger

by , 10-12-2012 at 10:56 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
A dormitory and some tarot cards. Anxiety is what I feel. It is dark, not night, but hazy and dull and dim. Maya is near/here. A large box filled with alcoholic bottles. Empty maybe. Trouble. In the end I am not fearful. I'm going on some sort of journey. Someone asks me if/to write goodbyes. A bicycle is lying down and I write my goodbyes. I think I write down names around the bicycle in chalk. I think Rick S is here, talking to me. I write to my mom; I love you more than the moon and the stars.

    10. Mt. Ka

by , 10-12-2012 at 08:58 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
Driving past I could see a great tall mountain. The mountain opens up and there are many hovering, flying crafts in it. More were coming. A great crowd of people were at the base of the mountain. I know my feeling were that of panic and an “end” of something. We continue driving home. In the house with a hidden room, my immediate family is present. My mother and Maya are in the long living room. My dad and I travel up the steps. I realize that my room in the house is up one level from the way I had originally recalled. My dad and I want to be in a position to view the “Event” that was the “end” or the “beginning”. My dad stopped to go into the room that is below my own. I told him he didn't have to stay there, he could see better from my room. As I focused on the room in front of me, the room he chose, I see that it is perfect for him, much better suited and the bed is large and comfortable. I knew he would be happier in this room. So I continued to my room to view the “Event” from my window.

Note: My father has passed on

    11. Nineteen Sanguin Wy.

by , 10-12-2012 at 08:55 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
We are at the doorstep of the sanguinary creatures house. The home looks ordinary. They try and lure us in with telekinetic force. We resist. We are all very scared. At some point we realize that they are not harmful anymore. One of us signals her song to lure one of them out (to daylight). I contemplate stealing two wooden candlesticks before I leave, but I know they will find me. We are free. I have three large paper bags of items. I fit them all into one. As I catch up to the other three girls for the hike out, one takes the form of my Aunt Jama. She is surrounded by her Barendse's family. They have just bought the bar/lodge. One tells me that I need to stay for a night and sing on the stage tomorrow. They imply that I may be their second most talented entertainer. I ask who the second most talented is. They tell me someone else. I tell them that maybe I'll recite a poem or do a monologue. I step into a great big theater with reclining chairs. I'm in the chairs. The little girl is there. She is a ghost. I try to help her pass over. She is angry. I realized that whatever I watch in the theater on the screen was playing in the next room.
    12. Clusterf*&k

by , 10-12-2012 at 08:50 AM (Voyages of a Skywalker)
I am at work and Kendall S. is there. I get into the golf cart and as I go to my task, a baby lion runs in front of my path. I stop and am frightened at first but soon realize it means no harm. It's mother appears. Later a medium-sized elephant stares me down from behind a madrone tree. (This is in the dream-scape that has one large room for us all to sleep in. Where we move the beds around.) As I go back to the main property I realize I've gone too far and instead of turning around I just go the long way. I cross the fence and come upon the parking lot that surrounds a great hall/convention center. I turn right to continue my loop but I see a busy road I must cross and I don't feel confident doing so in a golf cart. I turn back and meet another busy street, so I head north. Driving north I am a man and there is a woman I know in the passengers seat. She loves speed and thrills. We start to go very fast and I see her suspended body in the rear view mirror as if I am driving a limo. As we hit bumps her body seems to suspend in zero gravity. We are going very fast, now in the golf cart, and we crash. I am not hurt nor did I fear being hurt, but I do fear she has been obliterated. Even in the toss and roll of the crash she is fine. I warn her of the dangers of speed.
