The crown prince and the traitor
I'm watching a story unfolding? The crown prince and his close friend have just been in a battle with the traitor's men. He's railing against them, angry that three of his own men were killed by the prince's friend. Despite their valor, the prince and his friend have been badly wounded, and they're under the power of the traitor.

Now some time has passed. A puppet prince has been established in the city and both the crown prince and his friend have finally woken from their ordeals. I see them trudging up a hill, looking around at what's become of their land. They're going to meet with the puppet prince, a one-time friend who they now believe to have betrayed them. Now they're with him in his office - a large, modern room with a huge wooden desk. Despite their mistrust, he makes it clear that he still believes in the prince and not in the traitor and begs their help in overthrowing the traitor's government and establishing themselves as the rightful rulers. Now I'm the prince's friend and begin to question the puppet; eventually, I judge that he's sincere. I'm so overcome with emotion that my nose fills and I can't breathe. I try to breathe through my mouth, but I can't. I try to calm myself, trying to breath through both my nose and my mouth, telling myself I'll be OK, and hoping that I don't have to suffer the indignity of passing out in front of the two princes; but even if I do, I trust that my unconscious body will relax enough to breathe. I continue my efforts, starting to feel a bit of panic, until I finally wake up (for real) with a completely stuffed nose.

    Fragments
I'm reading over an email from Jeff saying that he's fed up with how badly Windows works and asking if anyone can help him get started with Linux.

Something about a boat and the water.
